Perfect for Tier2 Network Device (with enabled user define security/firewall as tier2 defense) for Home Network – NetComm N300 NF12 (ready for NBN) is a good choice for Home Network Broadband Wifi Router for those who really understand the concepts of Networking (e.g. Wireless Network, LAN/WAN, QoS, Internet and Security). I've set it up as Tier2 Network Device for my Home Network because my Telstra Smart Modem (Technicolor with Wifi) is a piece of cruft. ISP's and/or Broadband Provider's doesn't care the security of it's consumer that's why I've set-up my Telstra Smart Modem as purely Tier1 Modem (disabled Wifi Radio and all back-doors and enabled user define firewall as tier1 defense) and connect the NetComm N300 NF12 Broadband Router (with Wifi Radio enabled) as my Tier2 Network Device (with enabled user define security/firewall as tier2 defense) for my Home Network. Moreover, I have enabled the https and ssh to manage this Device from my internal Home Network, as well as the QoS and DDNS (with OpenDNS) to increase and optimize it's performance and security. Finally, I have a peace of mind now, I believe my Home Network will not be compromised again because my previous set-up (Tier1 with Telstra Smart Modem alone) has been compromised by the hackers from fortnite online games... :-)

Not too good – Had this NF12 NBN modem from TPG. Cheap modem and performance is below average. Many times the wifi is just stop and wouldn't let any device connect to it, or the SSID disappeared altogether requiring multiple reboot to get it back up and running.

Not a very good wifi router – I used this router for two years now. The speed was ok when I was on a nbn broadband plan with the download speed of 25 Mbps. But I upgraded my plan to 50 Mbps download speed, but this router didn’t give me a fair download speed. With the Ethernet cable attached to it will download at the speed of about 45 Mbps but wifi never goes above 18 Mbps download speed when tested on speedtest.net. I would recommend not to use this router if you have higher download speed nbn plan. Choose a better router first. Thanks.

Basic router supplied by TPG for the NBN – This router was supplied as part of the setup costs of our TPG NBN internet account. We were using a better quality router previously, but we couldn't get it to work with the new account and so gave up and used the one supplied instead, which set itself up as easily as the documentation promised. But we have more time outs, and it needs resetting more than the old one, and doesn't have as much wifi range. We use it because it works but would not go out of our way to purchase one. When I have the patience, I will be trying to set up the old one again and will keep this only as a backup.

Worst router supplied by TPG, its an E waist for planet – Worst router sent by TPG...not sure why T P G is wasting hell of resources in sending this router...I hop TPG realize this sooner and change all of these with dual band AC wifi router...this is rubbish doesn't even allow 2 devices to stream at the same time with NBN fiber to the premises.
