Neutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming

Good soft scent – I use makeup remover wipes daily and I bought this one because I liked the idea of a special night time makeup remover wipe. It has a delicate calming scent which I have not noticed on other wipes. The towel itself is slightly on the drier side, but it is enough to remove all my day's makeup and grime. It also doesn't roll or get squished when I use it, so it maintains its shape and doesn't fall into pieces.

The pack can be closed again by sealing the sticker, I suggest placing it face down to ensure it stays closed.

I do not use this near or on my eyes, and I did not have any irritation or dryiness after use.

I would purchase again if I wanted to treat myself to a special night treat to remove my makeup.

Leaves red burnt skin with itchy rash – Left a burning itching rash I bought this product a few months ago just to use on the odd night when I couldn’t be bothered taking off my makeup with traditional cleanser etc. The first few times I used them I felt an odd burning sensation around my eyes and on my cheeks but as it faded within a few minutes I didn’t think any more of it. Just this last week I have used these wipes for a few days in a row whilst we’ve been camping. Again same sensation of burning but as it faded quickly I didn’t pay much attention that I could’ve been having a reaction. I started with some red blotches high on my cheek bones that were burning and itching. The itching then spread to my cheeks and jawline. The red blotches have now spread all over my cheeks. After reading quite a few reviews of this product from May 2018, it seems I’m not the only one that has had a reaction. I’m now on oral steroids and calamine lotion on my face for the itching. I should’ve listened to my body the first time I used them with the slight burn feeling. Yes the product does work very well and removes waterproof mascara but there is obviously a chemical in this product that doesn’t agree with my skin. I think this product should come with a patch test warning. ‘Gentle enough to use around sensitive eye area’. Allergy tested. Hmmm this is what swayed me to buy it in the first place.
