Scratches very easily – Love the look of this table. I have decorated my living and dining rooms around the dining table and TV console. The problem is how easily the table scratches. I know there is a protective film to protect against staining but it is so soft that even light use with placemat protection the surface is getting damaged with fine and deep scratches. When I purchased it I asked about the durability of the surface and was reassured by the salesman that it was a strong finish. The customer service team have looked at it and have told me that there is no scratch protection with these tables. As I have only had this table for a short time I hate to think what it is going to look like in a couple of years.

Film on table marks very easily – We bought our $2,000 Carlina (High Density Natural Marble with Jazz Marble film) table last year. I immediately noticed there was dimpling on the surface, apparently from the ‘film’ they cover the marble with. I had no idea when we purchased it that there was a ‘film’ on it. Nick Scali did come out and they replaced the top. The new one has dimpling, but not as bad as the first, so I accepted it. My problem is there is now a scratch on it, which is on the end we do not use, and there are no children in the house. I am sure we have done it, but cannot understand how. I would assume the coating used on an item like a table would be tough, but this is clearly not the case, and apparently the film can’t be repaired. If I had known this I would have bought a wooden table, at least they can be repaired. The quality that used to be Nick Scali is clearly lacking these days. Their customer service service is good, but it would need to be with the quality of their products. Our lounge has been replaced twice and the table once. Very disappointed.
