Just got the new switch and signed up for Nintendo online (7 day trial), thinking it gives all the old console games. It gave a few dozen super Nintendo and original Gameboy consoles for $30. I thought id get the expansion, which is another $30 and gives all the consoles, it's only got 3 cube games, and doesn't even have pokemon on GBA - such a dud offering (or yellow on the original GB lol). I contacted Nintendo to cancel the next day, they said because I upgraded it voided the 7day free trial. So I complain and after 2 weeks I email again saying wth, and they just flat out say nup.
Big Nintendo, new $700 console, will be buying a bunch of (not cheap) new games and they're scamming these deals, what a joke of a support service.
Pretty good – I bought a second hand.mid school Nintendo 64 cartridge gaming system from the gamesmen in wollongong and found it outstanding with graphics and sounds plus the control pads are easy to use especially when playing classic games like Mario kart 64 plus the cartridges are.easy to put in and take out / I would totally recommend Nintendo gaming machine systems to anyone who is interested in electronic gaming systems
Money hungry company – We brought a Nintendo 2ds out of birthday money and within less than a week it would not work. (wouldn't recognise games). So we had to send it away for them to look at it, and then we had to send a game down. Only to get a phone call to say nothing was wrong with it, and we has to pay $30 to have it sent back. As I explained to them, there was something wrong with it when we sent it and why would we send something that was working. The two people I spoke to were rude and not helpful at all. Very disappointed with this company all they want is your money and don't care about their customers. And untl we give them the $30 we won't be getting our ds back. I will never be buying anything with the word Nintendo on it. All you want is to rip people off.
Nintendo Customer Service! Your'e the Best! – My most recent experience was regarding a malfunctioning remote. To sum up the problem: one of my remotes no longer functions at all in that it does not respond to any button input (i.e. that status light do not blink) despite new batteries; in short, it is bricked. After quickly sifting though simple troubleshooting suggestions, I called Nintendo customer service. I described the problem and after assuring the agent that I knew of no overt physical damage to the remote, I was given two options: send it in for repair completely at Nintendo's expense or send it in for replacement at a minimal $5 expense and no shipping charge.
I was astounded. Most companies I've dealt with would simply tell me, "tough luck," and force me to buy a completely new product, or at the very least charge me upwards of $20 for either option.
To think that a company is willing to replace a malfunctioning product for as little as $5 without any proof that I didn't create the problem myself and being that it's out of warrenty is, in my experience, without precedent. To think that Nintendo offers technical support for a game's connection issues without charging $5/min over a 900 number and with little lag time is mind blowing. And to think that they offer free upgrades of a controller's accessories to their entire customer base is fantastic.
I have never been so impressed with a company's customer service as I am with Nintendo's. For that matter, I've never been impressed by any other company's customer service. I can only hope that other companies take notice and make an effort to emulate their simple, effective, and most often free-of-charge solutions. Reliable
Awesome service, fixed and back in days! – After continuously misplacing my daughter`s 3DS and eventually finding the receipt; I went to Nintendo on Stud Rd to have it looked at and assessed for repair under guarantee. Using their desk model and charger they quickly ascertained that which I already knew, it needed repairing. The guy took my details, saying that when I was called I could ask them to send it back to me, saving a further trek to Scoresby. I was called later that day with the information about the problem which they would fix by the next day. We received it back within 5days via the post, completely satisfied. fast response and no problems at all due to having receipt even tho that was a little worse for wear.
