Nintendo DSi XL

More good fun – I had a DS that I stopped using quite a while ago as it was just too much of a strain on my eyes. The XL has a screen 93% larger than a DS lite as well as 3 inbuilt games so I don't have to be changing memory cards every time I want to play. I saw that others critised the size as unnecessary but for me it is great and I agree it is a bit heavier but that is not an issue for me, I don't take it outside of home anyway. I suppose those things could be problems for some people though.
As it was a gift I can't comment on price. The larger screen is great.
Bigger screen but pixellated graphics – After using a DS Lite for a couple of years, I thought the larger version, with camera, would be a step up, but I was a little disappointed. While it is great to see some of my favourite games on a 'bigger' scale, the screen is more pixellated. It also doesn't feel as robust as the DS Lite - the upper screen wobbles a bit and makes a clicking noise when you open it up fully. It doesn't seem to click into place very well. The quality of the camera isn't that great compared to all the camera phones on the market. I liked the bigger screen and the great colours available for the console It is quite heavy and clunky and the graphics become pixellated when enlarged.
Meh – There's really nothing you can say about the Nintendo DSi XL. same capabilities as the other DS range but slightly bigger. I really don't understand why they've made it bigger seeing that they got rid of the original DS because it was too big. Totally understandable if it's someone that can't see small things but this is really not the way to go with Nintendo. It's beaten the idea of now being a small compact device. All i can say about it is that it's not outstanding but it ain't poor either. Not exactly getting your money's worth here. Bigger Defeats the purpose of having something small in your pocket
