Good – The gamecube was released as a significantly cheaper console in its generation. It had some great games such as Wind Waker and Metroid prime but it did not offer much variety with 3rd part support. The wave bird wireless controller was the best controller available on all platforms. The lack of DVD playback or digital sound output meant that it… Read more

was not on the same playing field as the competition. The poor online capability of the unit made it almost non-existent as it was originally intended as a modem only device. Unique games

Small and compact

Wave bird is best wifi remote of this generation Poor selection of non-nintendo games

No DVD playback

No easy online/multi unit play

Excellent – We still have this console in our house and I must say it still get as much use as the Nintendo WII.Great range of games that haven't lost their playability.Kids still love playing the games especially my youngest. All the great Mario ones,Zelda and Donkey Kong.We have them all!! Nice compact size, easy for storing, controllers are a nice size… Read more

especially for small hands.Graphics are great but you don't get any less from Nintendo! I think this will always be a favourite for us and we won't be getting rid of this one! Great gaming console, great games

Excellent – The Nintendo Gamecube is an awesome console one of my faves compared to the Wii it has way more better quality gamesnot saying the Wii doesn't but it seems like they are just releasing anything on the Wii. Games like Mario Kart double dash and legend of zelda wind waker and super mario sunshine. Some really fun games! The gamecube was unpopular… Read more

due to its limited number of games but I love it

I only got mine in 2007 and I was suprised how good the graphics were on some of the games!

Great Console :) love it , great nintendo games, only the best not too many games but the games there are are good !

Excellent – I think that this was one of the best installments that Nintendo has put out yet (besides the Wii). What I think about this system that was the best was that the games were cheap and very good games. There are alot of them out there for the gamecube still to this day. One other thing is that the games that are on it will hold my sons attention for… Read more

hours (and any of us that are parents its always a plus). The only thing that I didnt like about this system was that the games are on small disks easier to loose. If you want a really good system for pretty cheap I would say go get a Gamecube! I love this console best installment yet didnt like how the games were the small disks

Terrible – I have to say that when Nintendo first release gamecube, I was really considering whether is was worth buying? To be honest, is not a successful gaming console unlike the Nintendo Wii. Again is pretty nice designed with 4 port controllers ready but however the games are quite limited. The media used is small dvd and I think it wasnt a great way to… Read more

do it. The graphics were average and certainly PS2 was still the better competitor. Another downside was the console couldnt play DVDs. As Nintendo Wii can play Gamecube games, there is very little reason why you would want this console now. had some nice games and is small Not the console to buy now

Good – I have enjoyed my Game Cube so much that I would rather continue to collect replacement controllers for it than get rid of it. Most places seem to sell the consoles for around $50. The games can be played on the Wii as well, so they are worth having. Very cheap to pick up now, lots of games were released. I really like the controller which are a… Read more

really comfortable and easy to use design. Excellent graphics to re-experience the classic Nintendo games. Can take a bit of looking around to find what you are looking for since it depends on the second hand market.

Bad – It was a good system while it lasted, great fun killing some people on super smash brothers and all, but all up it is a fairly outdated console, it was nothing groundbreaking. Game availability is also lacking, was very hard to find games that i wanted. The games that are included on it are from old favourites, it is lightweight and easy to move.… Read more

Now very cheap Can't play music on it, need memory cards to save, graphics can't really compete with other systems.

Good – Overall a fun console, you will not find the nice range of Nintendo exclusive games elsewhere, but some of the third party games were poorly developed in comparison to XBOX and PS2. I've had a lot of fun with my console, but the removal of the digital video port on later revisions and the rarity of component cables for this mean it may not look… Read more

the best on newer TV's. Can now be found cheap, has a decent library of Nintendo games, small, decent specs, never had an issue with hardware reliability, GameBoy player adapter, games are compatible with the Nintendo Wii Hard to find component video cables, very few games are in widescreen, same games were poorly ported, wireless WaveBird controllers do not have rumble

Good – Like most of the Nintendo consoles before it the GameCube really hasn't lived up to it's expectations and is currently obsolete and eclipsed in options by the latest Playstation, X-box and Wii technology. BUT it is suprisingly good, for graphics and the games which are not available elsewhere and especially worth getting through e-bay or pawn… Read more

shop. If you like Nintendo games as I do then the Gamecube enhances the classic experience of Mario and Zelda. I love the design of the controllers which is especially user friendly. It is a shame they didn't catch on more.

Excellent – This system is okay but i prefer no one to buy this you can not save your games without a memory card and it is hard to find games for it to play. This game has a lot of great games like Mario, Zelda, and Metroid go game play No hard drive to save game and you can play music on it

Good – Overall this is a really great console which takes up a small space. We had it next to an Xbox and the kids spent as much time playing this because of the great games like Mario Party, Mario Kart double dash and Zelda. I think it is the games that makes Nintendo what it is and not the other way around. The unit was perfectly reliable and very… Read more

cheap to buy. The downside of cheap to buy was that it sold for very little as well. The fact that the memory is expensive and because it does not play DVDs or CDs is why I would mark it down a bit. Overall a really fun console. Reasonable graphics, cool looks, great games with very long game play. Reliable and durable, cheap No hard drive, memory blocks are pricey, graphics not as good as Xbox, cannot read CDs or DVDs

it is so small and four controllers and is so easy for storage but the handle does get a bit awkward so it is a little bit of a tight fit they should make a portable one or one that does not get in the way! handle.

OK – A great way to entertain the kids but not as good as xbox or ps2.Memory cards arent very good but serve their purpose.Could do with a better designed hand control. Keeps the kids entertained for a while very compact easy to take away on holidays.Graphics arent bad Not as good as ps2 or xbox. The games are expensive, and the games take too long to be released in stores.

Good – They now cost around $99 due to poor sales, and BigW nolonger supports the GameCube but they are still easy to find, and titles like Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart, F-Zero GX (among many others) and the upcomming Seaqual, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (A must buy for all gamers), means whether you're a Nintendo… Read more

fan or not, it's worth the price and the countless hours lost infront of the television ;) Original games, solid reliable hardware, nil load times, exellent price. The controller is very comfortable but the Z button is a pain, little in the way of 3rd party games (but with Nintendo's own titles, who cares?)and no Dolby Digital (Pro Logic 2 surround is still great but just isn't as good as Digital surround sound.

Excellent – I have had every generation Nintendo - not for the graphics, but for the wicked gameplay and great titles. Mind you, in general the graphics are still great, just not as good as PS2 & Xbox. Bad – We are very big fans of nintendo but found gamecube very disappointing the 64 version was much better for games and controllers. The gamecube version of Zelda was very child like and not very enjoyable to play unimpressed with that version. MarioKart also a major disappointment. Great for the younger kids but for die hard nintendo fans who have… Read more

bought every single nintendo version since 1990 very very disappointed. Compact, good graphics, cheaper than the others,Mario&Zelda are still there, able to use with gameboy advance. Not enough games of quality, the memory cards are easily lost, disc's too small, no DVD,

Good – Gamecube is more kid-friendly, but with the release of games such as Goldeneye- Rogue Agent, it is firmly making it's mark in the video game industry. It doesn't live up to the standard of the Nintendo 64, but only time will tell if this powerful little box can make it in the big time. It's price. Out of the 'big three', it is only about $200 at… Read more

most. The games also play a big factor, sporting many classics such as Mario, Sonic, Metroid and Zelda. It is also very compact. It can't play DVDs, it has no online capabilities and it's controller can take some getting used to for those who are used to the N64 type. Also, it does not share the graphical capabilities of the XBOX.

Good – good console for the young and young at heart, nintendo offers a wide range of younger cartoony games but lacks in the classic more adult games. Overall a good affordable system. Cheap, good kids games. Can't play DVDS

Terrible – This would be great for the very young family. A great selection of games for the kids, as well as some MA stuff for dad. This is a game machine. performer. A compact little machine that is child friendly.

It seems the majority games are for the little one. Although it's not all Mario, Zelda and Sonic the Hedge Hog. There is WWE, Spider-Man and Resident Evil. So it balances out where XBOX and the PS2 may not at this time.

You can also purchase coloured cases to replace the boring black thats provided.

My kids tell me that there GAME BOY SP can also be plugged into the GAME CUBE and extra games can be unlocked. It does not play DVD or Music CD.

The Add ons are expensive.

Not very versatile compared to an XBOX or PS2.

It doesn't have a hard drive. You need memory sticks to save progress.

Good – I like it. The selection of games is a little limited but many of the big titles are there. It plays well with smooth, high quality graphics. Good – Nintendo have been making game consoles for a long time and do it well. When you buy a game cube you get a good solid piece of hardware. time again. Great games. Controls are comfortable and easy on the hands even after a few hours of game play. Compact system that doesn't hog space. Just a games console which means less parts to breakdown. Limited games, especially in Australia. Nintendo need to do much more to ensure that games are released here as well as the US and UK.
