1 ana  · Unauthorised withdrawal from my account and denied refund. Customer service is useless and unhelpful.
1 No longer a stihl fan  · Thinks everything is malware and locks it in quarantine. Would love the option to install anyways but yeah uninstalled and not having any issues now

I find it funny that a antivirus company doesn't have enough customer service agents to help you through and also I find it interesting that when we need to report that someone is using an alternative virus in a terrible way and trying to get people's details and we can't get through they're more people are getting scammed and hacked which is… Read more

Norton 360 is expensive, a PITA (pain in the [Content Removed]) to use and constantly wants you to PAY MORE! After having my identity stolen, I decided to pain proper money for a more comprehensive security system on my computer. Norton 360 Platinum thinking that should really cover me. Like hundreds of $. Oh. My. God. Do NOT buy from these rip… Read more

off merchants.

Yeah, good anti-virus. But there's lots of great free ones out there. The Password Manager never works properly, despite setting up biometrics more times than I can count. It keeps scanning "extras" not in this package (who knew?) and trying to get me to pay more, more, MORE. Turned itself OFF on my phone without any notification. Slows my PC down. I constantly get notifications about my old email address turning up on the dark web (yep, ID theft), but never with sufficient information to actually do something about it.

If I could afford to buy something, I'd forget the remaining 463 days on my subscription and get rid of it.

DO NOT BUY THIS.

This used to be a good product and worth the higher cost, but now so many services are add on subscriptions for stuff that used to be included. Their auto renewal tries to charge you a full month and a half before the renewal date just to make sure they get you before you can remember and cancel. Plus it makes everything run so much slower. I have been using Norton for the last 20 years and will not be renewing. Show details

Support in word not practice – I have been getting nowhere with a fault I reported weeks ago. Follow ups on chat were less than useless, so the last three days I've tried phoning. Attached in the screen grab of the average of my support experience! I hung up all three time. Wow, they can spell the word support but have absolutely no idea what it means! That's what you get for cheap, barely trained labor. Show details

Biggest scammer – Be careful with this scam, they always try to steal money from my bank account. Even though I called them to cancel my subscription, they still tried to get my money. This is the worst company I have ever seen. Never get their product again. Shame on them. Show details

Norton Virus Checker Not Ever Again – It probably does the job but is annoying as hell and lately, I get a lot of DANGEROUS WEB SITE messages, including one for my own WEB Page! When I check the 'status' of my WEB page it lists it as Phishing site; (the fraudulent practice of sending emails or other messages purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to… Read more

reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.)

Yes, not once have I EVER sent an email from this domain or is there anything other on this site than links to my Amazon books!

I reported this for Nortons review, but they have not done anything in over a week. I am losing sales, promoting my book site to the world. Why should NORTON CARE?

UPDATE 12 July 2024 Contacted Norton about the false positive using their specially for this issue designated page and in a month of requesting, no action. I am no longer using Norton, or will ever again.

Dodgy customer service – Appalling customer service. They have a 60-day money back guarantee and when I asked for my money back on the first day, Kamlesh, the customer service representative, kept pushing and pushing me. He said, "the best I can do is a 40% refund". Absolute nonsense! Their policy states full refund within 60 days, so please watch these guys. They're absolutely dodgy and a rort. Show details

Better value out there, and better support – Originally bought a Norton Core at a trade show which Norton decided to retire and no longer support so was offered a deal to transition to Norton 360. It auto renews by default. I thoroughly recommend you never leave the auto renew status as active as Nortons cares NOTHING for existing customers with all marketing aimed at roping in new… Read more

customers. If you dont, you will be hit with the maximum recommended retail price which for me is currently $250 for 1 year. I found a better deal online for the same product but their online support (their phone support is impossible to navigate) are limited and cannot match their deals you can buy from a retailer. So they keep lowballing you with pathetic counter offers falling well short of matching the price and when you tell them you found a legitimate cheaper price with legitimate Norton reseller way cheaper than what they are offering you to stay, and they offer only 2 years whilst I can get 3 years subscription from a retailer and save, they tell you that if your choose to take that offering you have to completely uninstall the program, lose all your settings and install it from scratch. Worse they tell you that you have to pay again and your refund from auto renewal takes as long as it takes to hit your account again. A totally unethical way to run a business. How can I trust them to protect me from scammers when I feel like they are doing that to me? Particularly as their 360 product seems to be basic, i am forever getting notifications telling me about vulnerabilities they discovered only to discover they are not covered by 360 and I have to pay hundreds more to be fully protected. 50 here, 80 there, it is never ending and I think they forget their end users are not business or enterprise but mums and dads and kids. Families, with tight budgets. They don’t improve their product, they just create different product lines at premium pricing to do what their competitors deliver for less. There are better products out there that offer this for less. And are just as reputable, shop around.

Disappointing Experience with Norton Antivirus – I've been a loyal customer of Norton for over a decade, but unfortunately, my experience has been consistently frustrating. Every year, without fail, they automatically charge my account despite my explicit instructions not to do so. Each time, I… Read more

have to go through the hassle of contacting them to rectify the issue, and they assure me that they've noted my preference not to be automatically charged, only to repeat the cycle the following year.

What's even more disappointing is that this careless behavior persists despite my repeated complaints. The fact that they seem unwilling to change their practices is ultimately why I've decided to cancel all my subscriptions with them. It's a shame because I've been a loyal customer for so long, but their unwillingness to address this issue has left me with no choice.

In conclusion, my experience with Norton has been marred by their disregard for customer preferences and their failure to rectify a recurring problem. It's truly their loss for not valuing customer loyalty and refusing to make necessary changes.

Follow-up  · After I posted my original complaint, nobody from Norton Antivirus contacted me or asked any follow-up questions. It feels like customers are just a number and all they really care about is the money. They may do a decent job with antivirus protection, but in my experience their customer service is very poor, as I mentioned previously. In the… Read more

Absolutely fed up with these ant-virus companies. First it was Total's marketing practice. Now I'm stuck with Norton's tricks. They try to force me to use their 'Browser'. spending a significant amount of time navigating the automated phone system they informed me they could not cancel the account as it was in someone else's name despite the charge being made on my credit card, which is clearly in my name. This explanation is unacceptable. The only way I could resolve the issue was to pay the current charge and cancel the credit card to prevent further charges. This was a complete failure to address my issue. This is not a viable solution and demonstrates a complete failure to address my issue. I believe this is a serious breach of customer service and business practice. They should have given me a full refund, cancelled my account and removed my credit card information from their system to prevent further unauthorized charges.

HORRENDOUS! is the word that comes to mind. This antivirus is a complete and utter nuisance from the first minute it was activated. bad decision to consider Norton and they deserve to fold miserably! I turned and requested full refund from this heavy upsell at Harvey Norman where I purchased this bull-sh%t product and finally got it after insisting thank goodness. I recommend ESET where it’s a much better product for half the cost and eset doesn't splash their branding all over the place including the emails but most importantly it also did not work properly and the apps were constantly yapping a bunch of useless crappy texts about how effective it’s working which it did not! It’s totally insane that this product is acceptable to consumers! It should kept it out of Australia and stay in trumpland where it belongs.

A frustrating product that identifies and blocks espon printer drivers as being a threat. This prevents all printing on a windows 11 computer. This causes lots of frustration for elderly users. Advice would be to not to use the product as a basic task of computer is to be able to print with a standard printer. Show details

If I can give a review to Norton, I hope I can give it a -10. It is not about their product, it is about how they force people to renew with them. I had previously declined Norton's online offer to subscribe for another year and bought it cheaper at OfficeWorks, which I did again recently. A friend inspected the packaging… Read more

and found some small print about payments which was too small for me to read. I attempted to type my key again to be told it was no longer valid even though I had not completed the installation on the first occasion. So I am locked out of using it. Apparently their method now is to add unspecified charges over time. Nortons is a scam. Officeworks refunded me.

Very slow on the antivirus and VPN. I cancelled, but they took money out of my new card, even with different end date and pin number - bank said they can't stop them. Why do they have like 6 different apps for similar services? Why not combine all the features into one app? Why have so much pushy upselling it’s just annoying. It’s so expensive for what it is compared to competitors and the features don’t work like they’re meant to anyway. Total waste of money. Show details

The anti-virus part Norton 360 is ok. BUT the "free" VPN function is now complete rubbish. Used to be good, but now continually drops the internet connection and, then after a while, reconnects. This means the user has to re-login the website being used (it is time consuming and frustrating to have to reenter username, password and second factor… Read more

authentication). Impossible to say why this is happening now. Maybe, Norton has sold more licenses than its servers/routers can handle, or the recent version of the software has a major defect. Dropouts happening every 10 to 20 minutes is completely unacceptable. I suggest you but another cheaper antivirus solution and buy a stand-alone VPN like Nord (there are a number of good ones)
