Seniors Card benefits Asylum seekers and not resident Australian Seniors – Seniors Card benefits Asylum seekers and not Australian Seniors who've paid taxes all their working lives who are 60+ and work >20 hours per week Asylum Seekers get Gold Card travel. Doesn't make sense!

NSW government scam – The Seniors card is the NSW government pretending to care card. There are no discounts on services like rego or drivers license. Nothing for gas or electricity. Nothing for council rates etc. They provide access of database to companies who then send you inflated discount deals on insurance and wines. This card is a disappointment and a slap in the face for those who worked all their lives paying taxes.

No electricity discount – We are with AGL, a NSW Seniors Card Partner. After getting our last electricity bill, I called AGL to ask about their Seniors Card holder plans. On comparing our latest bill with their Seniors card offer, I was told our bill would be $107 more expensive! No discount, more expensive!

NSW Government use the Seniors Card Service to make money, plain and simple! – The NSW Seniors Card Service has been set up to make Revenue for the NSW Government. They sell access to the data base of Senior Card Members to, of times, questionable Marketing and Services Organisations, who then, it seems, can "target market" and offer a range of questionable products and services at "discounts" based on highly inflated prices to NSW Seniors.

The NSW Seniors Card does not offer any discounts off NSW Government Services, e.g. Transport (Gold Opal Card - who has that?), Rates, Car Registration, Drivers License, etc. etc.

You just get bombarded by offers of Products and Services from commercial companies that you either don't need or want, or that you could easily go out by yourself and find better equivalent Products and Services at better Prices.

The NSW Seniors Card is a Revenue Generating "total con/scam" but I guess that it what our Senior Citizens are here for. Or maybe not?
