Nuby Garden Fresh Easy Pop Freezer Tray

It doesn’t work properly – It is almost impossible to open the lid - and yes it also hurts my hands (like they are not already in pain from taking care of the baby ...). Also hard enough to take out food from cubes - I had to use a small fork to loose the edge but the folk tines were force reversed. Other Nuby products I bought are satisfactory but not sure what’s wrong… Read more
with this one. I understand there are probably tricks like letting it sit a while or leaving a few cubes empty - but just don’t see the point (after all there’s a crying baby waiting for her food - it shouldn’t be this hard to begin with.)
Works well enough but better ones out there – Bought mine from chemist warehouse. They weren’t the cheapest ones but they also didn’t break the bank. I figured out how to open them fast enough but even so, to be able to push in at the clips mean that you can’t have anything in those positions. So I would not fill/half fill the spaces in at least 2 sides just so I can push in, which means you… Read more
lose volume. Also to get food out you need to thaw it slightly, which defeats the purpose if you’re not using the food in the rest of the positions. So the food that gets used last has been slightly thawed multiple times, which must be some kind of safety breach in terms of food hygiene for babies.
Perfect for me (just took a bit to figure out how to open!) – I love these freezer trays, they are the perfect size for my baby's food and stack very well in my freezer! The first time I used them like other reviewers I couldn't figure out how to open it, however once I got the knack of it it's very easy! The trick is that there are little clips on each side so instead of pulling the lid from the corners you… Read more
need to separate the clip bits by pushing in at the sides! If still very hard just wait 5 mins out of freeze. To get the cubes out, just run the base of that cube under hot water for a few seconds, then turn upside down and push on the base of that cube and it just pops straight out!
I got them on sale for half price so very happy with my purchase!
Design Flaw – Bought 2 of these trays from Chemist Warehouse as they were on sale. Once I used them and had the food frozen, I cant take the darn lid off and it is so frustrating! Very bad design as I had to use force and a bread knife just to get the frozen cubes out.
So difficult to open!! – This product would have been fantastic if I didn't have to wrestle and break all my fingernails just trying to get it open. The tray cubes are the perfect size and I found it easy to pop the food out BUT I ended up just throwing it out due to the sheer frustration of opening it.
IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE THE LID OFF! – Bought this on a bargain and thought to myself that it's gonna be great an does much easier than using the actual ice cube trays Nop! I can't take the darn lid off after taking it off the freezer. I tried for minutes and after breaking 4 nails and trying to take it off with a knif I gave up and tossed the whole thing in the bin!! There's a… Read more
horrible design flaw that makes it impossible to use
DO NOT RECONAND IT! No use if you can't take the food out of the tray!
Design flaw means it's impossible to get the lid off after it's been in the freezer! – Picked these up on sale from Chemist Warehouse for $6.99 after paying paying $11.99 for the Heinz Baby Basics Freezer Pot Tray and thought I had gotten myself a bargain but there is a reason why Heinze can charge more! The Nuby trays are missing the extra tab on the side to help you open the top up after it's been in the freezer. Every time I… Read more
use this tray (less and less now) I need to get a knife and force the lid off and even this method takes a number of attempts. And just because it's silicon does not mean that it is any easier to pop the food out of the trays. You still need to sit it in hot water before it will pop out. Will pay more for the better designed ones next time!
