I just went to squeeze water out, & the blue head that you attach the sponge to, broke in half. It doesn't appear that I can replace all the plastic assembly from the handle. I don't want to pay $20 for another mop when I got very little use out of it, & I can't find the receipt. I still have a new sponge refill, I guess that's wasted too, as I don't want to buy another Oates Mop.

This was not cheap to buy so I am very annoyed that I have brought this and that it has been a complete waste of money. Also this has left me with no faith in the brand. Floors were left streaky and the adjustable mop handle did not stay at the height you adjusted it to, despite tightening it and kept falling down. Don't waste your money on this one.

Had the mop for 1 week and had to replace the head twice because the plastic separates from the sponge. Have just checked the whole mop away, absolute waste of money.

Absolutly useless – I had a metal mechanism squeeze mop for many years until the pole rusted at the end. the new replacement tilt-a-matic sponge shrank by 20% and made the head curl which made the mop difficult to use. Also the plastic mechanism is unsuitable for the purpose. I pulled it apart and mixed and matched the squeeze parts with old one to get something like… Read more

a usable unit. Still not satisfactory. I WILL NOT be buying oats mops in future. They have done themselves a disservice with this mop.

Plastic mop head snapped at ‘bend’ not even a year old - not fit for purpose – My Oates tiltamatic mop has snapped at the section of the blue plastic head that allows the part to bend, squeezing the water out of the sponge. Mop is useless and not even a year old. It should last much longer than that. I was using the squeeze mechanism while half way through cleaning my hard floors when it snapped clean off so one half of the… Read more

sponge dangles and it cannot be used. Will cost an other whole mop because you can’t buy the mop head, only the sponge refills. Waste of money. Now I have half of my floor done, no mop, no money spare to get another, no receipt held onto for this to get it replaced for free and I’m really annoyed at the lack of reliability in this brand that simply should hold up for its purpose.

Absolute rubbish – Purchased from woolworths stock lands burleigh Heads along with 2 pack refills and simply trying to remove plastic from sponge mop resulted in mechanism coming apart and tried getting it back together sponge came away from head, then two refills came apart as well, still trying to reassemble the head squeeze mechanism. Finally threw the lot in the garbage and will now go to bunnings for a suitable alternative with LESS plastic components.

Very poor quality sponge – I really like the squeeze mop but the quality of its sponge is appalling. The first time, I thought I must have done something 'wrong' but every single time, the sponge disintegrates even during the first use. I use plain water so it is not caused by chemicals.

Terrible mop – When you release the mop head, the force sprays water out from each side of the sponge wetting anything around. And the extendable handle is easily released when you are trying to get the mop in difficult places.

Disappointing – The plastic part that levers the mop head to squeeze off the excess moisture broke the first time I used it. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this product.

Annoying – When you squeeze the excess water out of the sponge the stick snaps off the mop head. It can be put back on but ??? It is very time consuming when you want to do a mop that is not sloppy. Glad I only paid half price. I keep products a long time so I'm really not happy as this is a big landfill item. Can't see myself putting up with it for very long.

Not recommended. Quality is crap – Plastic part that pushes the mop together to squeeze it, broke the first time I tried to use the mop. Trashy piece of equipment, obvious poor quality if hspoening to more than 1 person. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL.

poor quality absolute rubbish – Have used this brand for years and they have always lasted quite some time. The last packet of 2 refills that I purchased lasted all of about 2 washes. Will not be buying again.

The plastic snapped off first use – The plastic part that pushes for the squeeze broke the first time I squeezed the mop. The build quality is to the minimum. I will never recommend this brand to anyone else ever in my life.

15 Years (no problems) = NOT NOW :( – Plastic inserts detach from the sponges after only 2 x uses. The sponges originally lasted months. Maybe they changed the glue that they use? I've wasted money on 5 sets of these sponges now. I will never buy their mops again!

hopeless – Used for 5 minutes, the sponge detached from the plastic inserts so I used the sponge by hand Happened before with the same mop some time ago and having bought a new one with the same outcome the product should be outlawed

Mop pads fall off easily – I quite like the mop but the mop pads fall off after a couple of uses. Waste of money and the replacement refills are expensive. Hope the company improves the quality of the product they are selling.

Waste of money – The mop refills break after very little use. I've ring Oates 4x without a response. I won't be buying again. It's a shame as they were a go to brand but not anymore

TERRIBLE MOP – after only one use the mop pads have fallen off and the custimer support person said "oh youll need to buy a replacement pad". Even the kmart under $5 mop was better then this one. Completely useless

Inferior Quality – I bought the double pack Oates Tilt-A-Matic squeeze mop refill pack some months ago. The sponges were useless and became detached from their base very soon after use. I replaced them with another pack of the same and had the same problem. I ended up having to use super glue to re-attach the sponges and have had to do this many times over. Very disappointing product.

Waste of time and money – The mop itself is fine, but the sponge head is useless. Mine broke after 15mins. It came off straight away. No use getting a replacement as it works as a whole. Without the body, it's useless.

Annoying sound its making – The sponge is doing an amazing job but the "click cluck" sound of the plastics its making when moping is driving me insane. I've tried to tie a cloth on it and to use my hands to hold it, nothing stops the sound. Terrible terrible design, never ever going to purchase another one.

Used once - then put it in the bin – This mop could not perform even the most basic function , the sponge was totally ineffective. The sponge head did not remove all of the stains from my tiled floors, even with pressure applied, all it could do was a very basic "wipe over" and even then it left streaks (despite "squeezing" as per the instructions) In use, once wet and then… Read more

squeezed, you have to hold it over the bucket for about a minute, otherwise it drips +++.

I used mine once then put it in the bin.
