Reece or any plumbing shop. I declined the quote. I bought the thermostat at Reece and replaced it in literally 4 minutes.

At the end of the day, it's my fault for not waiting a few extra hours to get additional quotes from the local tradies, which came at $130 and $150 for the visit and inspection. That's less than half of what I paid.

I won't be using Oceanside again, and I strongly recommend that anyone look at local tradies to save themselves hundreds or thousands of dollars. If no alternative is available, then go for it.

were provided. The technician arrived, replaced a capacitor worth about $35, and I was charged around $700 — and the air con still didn’t work. He later returned and replaced another $35 capacitor for the indoor fan and charged another ~$375.

So in total, over $1,000 for two capacitors, and the system has new problems. In fact, after their work, the unit now makes a loud bang every time it’s turned on — an issue that didn’t exist before.

When I contacted them again, they told me they “did what I asked them to do.” I never asked them to replace components; I simply asked for the problem to be diagnosed and fixed and reminded them of the work they did last time — I’m not a technician.

Really disappointing service, extremely high charges for minimal parts, and a problem that remains unresolved. I won’t be using them again.

Was charged $423 to check 1 smoke alarm and change a lightbulb in an outside light. Admittedly the fitting for the lightbulb was tricky which stopped me from being able to remove it, but the electrician removed and replaced easily. added on $150. They are repeatedly texting me asking to call them to organise another job they identified (unasked) they thought needed to be done. They are clearly a third party that engages various trades and adds on a large administration fee. They also got the requested date and time incorrect on several occasions.

Update: Oceanside have since responded to my complaint and reported there was a glitch with the logging of the labour time. They have refunded the difference. Would give them another go.

We had a badly leaking shower taps. here for nearly an hour. They've quoted me a very reasonable fixed price including parts so there was no surprises at the end. Some of other quotes over the phone were much more expensive and they charge extra for parts. I'm very happy with the Oceanside with the job they've done for me. Thankyou for the job well done!

Blocked sewerage pipe – Fantastic service at a reasonable price ! So happy with our drain clearing service and toilet repair. Prompt response and clear up front pricing. Will be using Oceanside again.

enormous cost. Nothing was too much trouble. The new manhole they installed in my entry hall ceiling is a work of art. I am so grateful and could not commend them more highly.

Electrical Work BEWARE – If l could give a 0 rating l would. My husband rang Oceanside Electrics as we were interstate & found our power was out. Our neighbour was with the electrician when he arrived and unplugged the caravan lead from the power box then went to the caravan & opened the lid to the electrical outlet at the side of our van where we plug in the power cord & broke the lid. He stated to our neighbour that would have to come off the bill now that’s when all the drama started!! The switch was reset when the van was disconnected fine but when we got the report with the invoice the electrician had stated there was no cover on the power point to the power lead which was untrue. When we rang up to dispute this the company rang our neighbour & asked for photos which he sent, & he told them the exact same that their staff broke the cover in the process. After a few calls with reception my husband finally spoke with [Name Removed] the manager, he literally called us liars and that he believed his staff member that there was no cover on the power outlet & that the electrician didn’t touch the caravan lead (another lie) even though he was sent pictures because the picture of the outlet cover that was on the ground was white (of course, it was night and a flash was used so it looked whiter than it was). It didn’t matter what we said he wouldn’t listen to us but insisted his staff didn’t lie and l guess customers don’t matter even if you have proof. In our opinion their logo is the perfect one. A SHARK they take a big chunk of your bank balance then swim away as fast as they can if you have an issue, because customers are their fish food. To be called or insinuated as a liar is just insulting and unprofessional in every way. USE OCEANSIDE SERVICES ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE STUNG OR STAY AWAY YOUR CHOICE BUT WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.BEWARE!!!!!

Expensive quote – My issue is 2 toilets water leak. The plumbing job was done perfectly I appreciate the guy who did fantastic job. first guy came. The lady at the phone told me she couldn’t give me the quote if I didn’t pay $192 so I paid by phone. I was not explained that the quote is not free. I’ve never heard of such an expensive quotation in my life. The company should advertise “Quotation is not free “

Beware – BEWARE . Do not go near these people. Plumber came didn’t find problem. Charged us $372. Said he need to cut a hole in roof to put camera in and check if ins would cover this . We got another opinion the other plumber found problem within 5 minutes and said it’s very common. Simple solution fixed it . I called them they said manager would call me and I’ve heard nothing. DO NOT Use OCEAN SIDE plumbers .

Leaking Roof not fixed – Paid Oceanside $2,500 on 21 Jan 2022 to fix all leaks in roof. They replaced a box gutter that they found was not to industry standard and the sump was too small and hard to access. They apparently fixed both but not really as I had to get the same plumber back. Decided to add to thus review. Overall very poor jobs, they had to back several more times and still the leak is not fixed with cup fulls of water dripping into garage on medium rainfall. Very happy customer ! – This was the first time I used Oceanside Services and they will definitely my first call next time I need repairs done. Walter repaired the leaks on my roof and clearly explained what the problem had been and how he had fixed it. Walter couldn't have been any more professional, polite and pleasant :)

is the recent job and it is the same site. They told me basically they can not guarantee any work because there " might be a new leak even within 1mm away from the pipe they have " fixed " . At the time I thought to wait and see, but the leakage got big and flooded , eventually I called them again. The plumber came into the property, digging out the same pavement, told me that there is a leak again, they did some work at the site for about 1-2 hours, then left. One week after there was still water in the hole. a plumber came to the property and told me that he is not sure if the leak has been fixed. As they left a big hole at my backyard , and unsure if the leak has been fixed, I asked another plumber came to my property to assess the situation , I was told by the another plumber that the leak is caused by in-proper re- fill caused pipe dislodged from the connection at the first time.the leakage is not deep , usually should only cost 500-600 dollar to fix.However he is not willing to help me to re-fill the hole because he is unsure about if the leak has fixed or not by oceanside . Since then , oceanside did not try to ensure the leak is fixed , but sent me anotherbill 978 dollar. My backyard still has a large hole and left with a mess , with dirt and bricks lay everywhere, my partner has had a fall because tripped on the brick. Break down of the 978 dollar bill, they put in 6.5 hours of labour, at 115 dollar per hour. I was told they calculated the labour hour for the time that I asked question to the plumber even they were not doing any work. It was very disappointing experience, I tried to call oeanside to raise the concern, the reception told me that the manager will contact me, but nerve did. Only few email I received from them were asking me to pay the another 978 dollar bill . Overall, I have paid 965 for fix a leak, oceanside still chasing me for another 978 dollar additional bill, but my backyard still leaking and there still a big hole with dirt and brick laying around. very very disappointing .

Use cheap chinese fittings – We had a 315lt Rheemglass hot water heater installed on 21.6.2018 by Oceanside Plumbing. I paid full price (similar to other plumbers at the time) including for an isolator (that I did not want as it was a straight swap for a 17yr old Vulcan 315lt hot water heater). when the outside temperature droppped to about 8 or 9 deg C, before the 11pm-6am economy electricity tariff. We never had any issues with the previous one or any others I have had installed previously elsewhere. Because of warranty issues, Rheem have inspected this hot water heater & Oceanside Plumbing have denied any responsibility blaming us & Energex instead. Oceanside Plumbing have used cheap chinese fittings instead of the quality ones used by other plumbers and did not tell me beforehand that that was what was going to be used. Rheem has no responsibility for issues by plumbing companies not employed by them. Beware who you buy from and have install your hot water heaters. It's not as if you can unplug them and replace them at will - they are expensive items to purchase and have installed.

I asked them to explain and they justified this charge saying the machine cost $18,000 plus annual maintenance costs of $5000+, and to recoup those costs they charged each client that it was required for an additional cost. I might also note that they do not tell you this before doing it. She said if they hadn’t have used that machine they would have had to excavate to access the pipe costing $1500, again, not stating any of this beforehand, because they know if they had I would have told them to get lost and used someone with a better pricing structure. The logic they used to justify these extortionate charges are baffling to me. I run a small accommodation business and we spread our costs over all customers to lessen the impact. Using their logic, if I were to put a new TV in a room and charge the first 10 people to stay in that room an extra $50 per night to recoup the cost of the TV, our customers would never use us again, which is what we will be doing with Oceanside Services. Use them at your own risk but if you do use them, get a price up front. I would guess they have to charge high costs to cover all their advertising, don’t be fooled like we were.

Another great job done by Oceanside Services – Thank you Ash, Emma, Teah and Joel for another great job completed! I needed my toilet serviced and the team took care of it and had Ash out there first thing Monday morning. Fair and Honest Team – Our hot water system stopped working, so we assumed we needed a plumber. We called Oceanside and they worked through it with us. They sent a plumber out initially. However, after a few minutes he was able to tell us the plumbing was fine and that the fault was in fact electrical. The electrician was able to quickly identify the fix and had the hot water system back up and running in half an hour. The work was completed for a great price.

We were very impressed with the service we received from the Oceanside team.

Oceanside are the best!! – I called Oceanside to replace bathroom taps and repair a water leak after another plumber didn't do the job properly. Ash called to let me know when he was coming, arrived on time and did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend Oceanside over and over again.
