Just a scam and I fell for it. Needed sons phone unlocked and under a time constraint. Site looked legit and as it read it was $28 to unlock phone. Entered details and paid. Email saying they are checking arrived. Smelt a rat when it was not withim a few hours as they stated. Did a search and sure enough lots of the same story here. Sent an email… Read more

saying it had not been unlocked asking for refund. nonsense reply saying engineering was looking into it. Two days later email saying unlock ready for release and to click a link and pay more money. Not happening. Filed a transaction dispute with bank (Westpac) once transaction had moved out of pending. Filled out form online . Amount was refunded as a gesture of good will.

PS. Do not trust their trust pilot reviews

never unlocked my phone, deceptive advertising, they charge you $25 for “verification” then a further $75 to complete the unlock, i paid both and was told my phone would be unlocked within 48 hours, 2 weeks later and the process still sits at 95%,i contacted them and heard absolutely nothing, i am disputing both payments with my credit card provider and if you gave this company money i recommend you do the same

⭐️ 1-Star Review — My Experience with Official Sim Unlock (officialsimunlock.com) I had a very disappointing experience with Official Sim Unlock. I paid $30 thinking it covered the unlocking service, only to be told the next day that the $30 was just a fee to check whether my phone could be unlocked. They then demanded an additional $80 to… Read more

complete the actual unlock.

This felt misleading and dishonest. At no point was it made clear upfront that the initial payment wasn’t for the actual unlocking service. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to stay away — the process felt like a complete scam.

Scam Scam Scam – I wanted to unlock my sim card so I could use dual sim. I found these guys via You Tube and thought I would give them a go. Lucky for me I only spent $28, stupid me didn't look at product reviews first. Glad I did eventually though as I have just received a further email today saying I have to pay more money for the unlock to be released. After reading these I will be not paying anything further. $28 down the drain but lesson learnt.

Complete rip off, don't bother – Complete rip off . States you'll get code instantly , then within 3 hours 3 days later they throw you an extra fee on top. Total being $106. When you can go to the provider the phone is locked to and get it alot cheaper.

False Advertising - It costs far more than is advertized – I am very disappointed with the misleading advertising. The company lacks transparency regarding the payments for unlocking the phone. I made a payment as advertised, expecting the phone to be unlocked within 24 to 72 hours. However, I was taken aback when I was asked to make a second payment that was four times greater than my initial payment. … Read more

In their explanation for the second payment, they subtly implied that if I sought out other competitors within a 30-day period, my phone could be damaged or blacklisted. This statement was concerning enough to make anyone apprehensive and likely to push them to complete the payment.

I urge you to be transparent about your pricing and policies from the start. This way, I can make an informed decision about whether to purchase your services. Honour what you advertise and finish the job. That would relieve stressful and disappointing experience. Buyer beware, the unlocking technology may suffice, but bad practices spoil their image.

Bad news – I got scammed 26 bucks now they have my info this company needs to be shutdown asap. An it's my fault to think it was only 26 for unlock code when all local offer up people said it was 180 to 260 an I finally got a guy on offer up out of south Carolina for 130 an he's 100% legit wow scam scam scam

DO NOT TRUST - LYING PACK OF THIEVES – Biggest pack of lying scum there is. Unethical business model. Claim to unlock your phone upfront for a small fee of approx $29. Then, after 2-3 days, claim it is only an eligibility check and try to extort another $78. This is after 10 days. Bit the bullet, called Telstra and had it unlocked in 5 minutes. This company is operated by… Read more

fraudsters and cannot believe they continue to get away with this. Filed a complaint for credit card charge back.

Also, there are other operators that do the same, and I wouldn't be suprised if they are owned by the same pack of scumbags. Search for reviews, they do the same. BUT DON'T use "TRUSTPILOT", it is a scam site itself, with bots putting positive reviews for unethical companies like this.

Rogues – My experience is still ongoing. The 8th of November they collected my money. With a promise to unlock my Telstra phone with a timetable of 24/72 hrs. When I inquired 5 days later about the delay was told I should have read the small print. The contract is for 30 days. Yet on the 13/11, I get the email "great news". It will be unlocked in 48 hrs.… Read more

Still getting crickets for answers. I would advise people looking to unlock a phone to talk to the carrier that has it locked. Not these bandits. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Absolute Scam – This site is a complete scam - beware !! They firstly make you think the fee is about $30, then after a few days they come back and tell you that your phone/device can be unlocked BUT you have to pay another $85 !!! None of that is explained up front. I feel like calling the Police - they are fraudulent.

Scammers – I believe they are paying people to write positive reviews cause they are 100% scammers. They advertise they only charge a small fee which is what they use to attract people into their net. When u pay them they leave you waiting 2 days and then email you saying that the phone has been checked and is ready to be unlocked but they need more money… Read more

and bla bla bla. You end up paying them more money that your provider would charge you to unlock ur device but you say fine let’s pay I don’t wanna waste more time and there is where ur nightmare will start. After more than a week I got an email from them saying that they were experiencing some delays because of the Covid 19 pandemic ( it’s 2024 fully out of the pandemic) and you start asking urself if u have been scammed and go online trying to get more info about them and if you are smart enough to go read the negative reviews you will find out the truth. Positive reviews are made mostly from people who have never reviewed anything online ( that’s why I think they are bribed to do so) when negative reviews are from people who have already reviewed other services. So now after waiting a full month for a refund ( their terms and conditions) another excuse: they say the phone provider said the phone can’t be unlocked so I don’t qualify for a refund but they are so kind hearted that are willing to give me 50% of it because they had some processing costs. All this is totally untrue because my phone provider already confirmed me that there is no issue in unlocking my phone and also officialsimunlock confirmed they could do it but needed more money which I paid. Don’t fall for them go to your local store and do it personally. Hope I did help someone and if u did get scammed escalate it further.

This is a scam – This is a scam. Do not look at the review of the bots. I've paid $28 at first and then another $71 after 4 days. This message is after 23 days of paying and it's still not unlocked!

Total scam!! How are these people still operating?! – Don't be fooled by the flashy website and promises they make. Absolutely a scam. I paid the first $29.00 as advertised. Then weeks later they requested another $71.00 to further the process of unlocking my phone. Stupidly I paid it. Oh yes you can track the "progress of your application" (application that is never going to result in anything good… Read more

DON'T DO IT!!! – I paid my A$28 thinking I was getting an unlocked phone. Turns out that was just the "eligibility check" and now they've asked for more money 24 hours later. How much you ask? No idea. There's just a button to make payment, I am not risking it by clicking on it in case it automatically charges the card I used for the eligibility check without… Read more

Shady Marketers, Scam – There is an initial payment for $28 to unlock an iPhone. This is advertised as a final price, but you need to pay an additional fee of $150 to complete the unlock. There is no indication of such fee at the time of purchase and the vendor is saying they have stated this final fee... where? There are much cheaper alternatives else where, please avoid at all costs.

$500 from you . They are full of nonsense. Report them. I don’t know how they can trade with reputable company logos eg Apple, Optus, Telstra.

No service no refund no stars – Did the $28 and $71 thing with official Sim Unlock. Waited a month ... blocked. Rubbish the phone has never been stolen etc. Delays attributed to Covid effecting their server( perhaps anti virus software should have worked). Software updates, finance area holding the 50% refund. Third month and still no refund. Long on promises very short on action. Avoid at all costs.
