This sauce is such a dud that Woolworths have got it on sale for ½ price. In the 30 years I’ve been buying this sauce it has rarely been on special let alone ½ price. Big fail El Paso.

I have no idea how they can think this is a superior product than the original sauce. The new recipe is nothing more than a flavour lacking salsa. The new label advertises “15% more in every jar… richer & tastier”. Unfortunately you need to use so much more of this new recipe to get anywhere near the flavour of the old. So it is no saving and… Read more

still not as good a flavour. It’s also interesting that it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to provide feedback directly to the manufacturer. We’re looking for an alternative, which is a shame having been using this for more years than I can remember….

The original Old El Paso (OEP) taco sauce was gold, I should of stockpiled during covid like toilet paper. Why change it? Who's idea was this? They didnt ask the OEP. consumer thats for sure. These people that making decisions like this need to be accountable.

Well just to note to say that the crunchy corn shell size has shrunk is an understatement. My husband is 6.3 , 220lb fireman. We always had taco Tuesdays. This new shell size wouldn’t fill a child let alone fill his crew. Cheap!!!!

Unfortunately I’m unable to give it half a star - one star is a minimum. Their new taco sauce is just awful. It should have been a ‘heads-up’ that this wasn’t going to be an improvement on the original. In this current environment It’s unheard of to have a product replaced with a larger jar for the same price. After tasting now it all makes sense.… Read more

I actually purchased 2 jars of taco sauce as I usually do. After opening one jar and trying to ‘spoon’ it onto my taco (drizzle) it wouldn’t. I turned the jar completely upside down and shook the $h!t out of the jar but still nothing came out. I thought there was something wrong with that jar as it was NOTHING like the original product so I threw it out and opened the second jar I purchased - only to discover it was exactly the same. It’s no longer a sauce by sheer definition of the word. A jar of Lego’s tomato paste is more like a sauce than this rubbish. It tastes like watered down tomato paste even though it now resembles the consistency of Clag glue. I can’t believe that 6 months have passed, there is not one positive review or comment online about this new change, no one is purchasing it and Old El Paso STILL have no plans to return to the original recipe despite the fact they state on their website that they are, “…actively listening to their customers..”. Well, they may be listening but they are certainly not ACTING on what their customers are begging - to bring back the original. I mean we’re really doing your work for you - we seem to be putting more effort into trying to keep our brand alive and relevant than what you guys are. (Old El Paso). When I now make the conscious decision not to buy your taco sauce it’s not just the sauce. I’m also not buying your taco shells, seasoning mix, salsa and all your other taco products that are required for the weekly tradition of ‘taco night’ - along with many other people that have reached out to Old El Paso and have been ignored. The company seems to be asleep at the wheel when it comes to customer satisfaction. I’m sure it was a cost cutting exercise to change the recipe which seems to have backfired dramatically based on all the online feedback.

Please, bring back the old taco sauce, or at least an alternative that’s edible. This new recipe is so bad, I’d rather pay extra for another brand, than buy this new taco sauce. There’s no use advertising this as ‘15% more’, as it’s 15% more of absolute rubbish that my family now refuse to eat.

Loved Old El Paso, loved being the operative word. Stop with the 'richer and tastier' script, your own customers are telling you this new formula is a total disaster. You took a zesty, smooth Australian classic and turned it into a thick, gritty tomato paste that is literally un-pourable from its own glass jar and tasteless. Marketing '15% more'… Read more

of a product that's half-filled with cheap tomato puree and mystery chunks isn't an 'improvement'; it's a desperate cost-cutting move that treats your loyal customers like they won't notice. We do notice. Your social media team can keep defending it, but nobody asked for 'chunky sludge' for taco night. If you’re so confident in this recipe, put the original smooth formula back on the shelves side-by-side with these new jars, we all know which one would actually sell and which one would stay gathering dust. Bring back the original recipe or lose your customer base to the other brands that actually still know how to make a tasty taco sauce. Actually ruined the taste of the tacos and I will most likely bin the bottles I purchased as no way I will be using them. Very disappointed.

Old El Paso - pls go back to your original Taco Sauce - the new recipe is awful. It's way too thick, it's like tomato paste and the flavour is poor. The previous recipe was great so not sure why you changed it.

Ole el Paso taco sauce is revolting! There was nothing wrong with the original recipe. It's thick and gluggy and revolting. I will not be buying it again.

The new taco sauce is horrible. Tastes like sour tomato paste. I have no idea why they would change it. Loved the old one. Put it on everything

The new stand and stuff boats smell like dog food, or the cheap pet mince you get from the butcher with eye balls in it. The new salsa had no chunky bits of tomato or onion in it. I've been a regular costomer for years, but the quality control has majorly gone down hill.

If I could give no stars I would. New hot taco sauce is thick, gross and tastes like tomato paste. Bring the old recipe back with 15% less.

Jumbo Taco kit is now 3 times the price and the tacos are very thin and break, so they cannot sustain the fillings so a waste of what dish was all about. Very disappointing I will not be purchasing this brand again.

Follow-up  · Paper thin, $10 paid $3 $4 previously Not worth it at All, complete rip off

Still taste alright but would Old El Paso like to make the tacos any smaller? They are now smaller than my hand. A couple of bites and they're finished. So, don't bother with Old El Paso's tacos. Their shrinkflation has really hit hard.

DONT BUY THIS ITEM-I bought a box of 10pack 8 of the tacos were so shut closed I couldn’t even put the meat inside. 2 shells broke and 6 I couldn’t even use, nonsense dodgy time.

Haven’t bought the enchilada kit for a while. Tonight I opened the pack and they were SO SMALL. What has happened to them. Spend more on providing wraps big enough to wrap stuff and less in advertising! Also the sauce wasn’t as nice as it was. What a let down.

Poor product outcome on shelf – I have bought the standard x12 normal pack and there are usually on average 2 broken. This time I bought the 18 family normal pack and 6 out of 18 are just broken. It was feom wla woolworths. I'm not sure who is to blame. But it's unacceptable. I don't know my they don't care about how their product is presented to us. I'd rather go start a company that actually makes good products that I can deliver a good product honestly...

The worst – Is it just my bad luck or are the openings to these corn tacos so small you CANNOT fit any filings ? And they are half broken. HOW ARE YOU MEANT TO PUT FILLINGS IN WHEN THE CORN TACO OPENING IS SOO TINY NOTHING FITS ?? You have one job. And it ain’t making tacos to fit in. Wasted my money.

It was okay – The burritos are all different sizes I didn’t like that half the pack was small and like 2 big one I would love for them to be all the same size

Poor quality soft tortilla wrap – Soft tortilla medium size were all stuck together and tore them trying to separate them. They were gummy and didnt crisp up at all with frying. Very disappointed

Out right rip off. And tortillas the size of a saucer – What used to adequately satisfying, it's nothing but disappointing on another level. The tortillas are so small you can't fit anything in them. They are also poor quality. Box says "Serves 4". It served 2. Like the other review, you now get less for more. I'll be buying normal sized tortillas, making my own salsa and just buying a packet of… Read more
