I initially loved this iron but 18 months later it started lifting up and down involuntarily and began hissing, it was a disaster. After contacting Oliso to explain what happened they were very good in answering emails promptly and troubleshooting with me. Because I am in Australia, Birch Creative is the distributor and they couldn’t have cared… Read more

less. It is a 1 year warranty, yes it was over but for the price I paid I expected the iron to last at least 3 years. Definitely won’t be buying another one!

2nd Oliso a massive fail compared to the First Oliso smart iron I owned – Purchased my first Oliso Smart Iron in Feb 21 and it was awesome - I am a sewer and it worked so well for sewing and general ironing. It died in Dec 23, I then started to use an Oliso Smart Iron that I had bought for my daughter for Xmas and the first time i used it sewing it grabbed and tore a hole in the fabric i was sewing - i was shocked - it… Read more

then continued to randomly "catch" and appeared to be caused by the legs not retracting quick enough - note I had not changed my ironing style at all. I then purchased my own Oliso Smart Iron in Jan 24 - hoping that the issue with my daughters was a one off - it was not. It catches all the time there is a delay between putting your hand on the handle and the legs retracting, i have torn holes in fabric/garments and also they have been stained as the fabric gets caught in where the feet retract and snag and get stained with black "grease" My husband actually seen the "delay" happen with the legs - only today it caught again while ironing a tshirt and of course a grease mark remains.

I contacted Oliso support and basically they do not seem to understand that there has been a change in the design or construction of the iron from the first one i bought to the 2 i bought recently - they are basically useless.

I even thought it could be my ironing board as it sort of concaves in the middle and thought this may be impacting the legs retracting - but no - this did not solve the problem.

They told me to contact Birch for whatever reason and they did eventually ring back but again - I explained the issue that i have proven twice that the iron design has changed and basically returning it and getting another one is not going to solve my problem.

Every time it snags i email John at Oliso but after this morning i bought a Phillip's iron as i cannot afford more snags, holes or stains in my garments or fabrics.

So the new irons are nothing like the one i bought in 2021 - the steam function is not as good either - so a huge huge disappointment as i should have stocked up on the original design - but then having it die after 2 years is probably not a good advertisement for them either.

So in summary i had one perfect iron purchased in 2019, i have since purchased and used 2 in 2023/2024 - and they do not function like the original AT ALL - goodness knows what Oliso have done

Not worth the money – I am not entirely happy with this iron. My main gripe would be emptying the water tank. Not an easy task. It’s a heavy iron Wonder how long the mechanism will last

Terrible product and worse customer service – My iron after scorches my ironing board as it does not ho into standby when.in raised position. Oliso do not have anyone to deal with warranty issues in Australia as Birch will only deal with wholesalers. They have bern evasive and simply refuse to acknowledge their responsibilities when trading outside of the USA.

Lasted only 16 months – I purchased this iron in April 2021 and it completely stopped working as I was using it. For an iron that costs $200 I was not impressed. When working it did what it was supposed to do and was great for ironing and quilting. I contacted customer service and their solution was to purchase another iron. I will never purchase one again if it needs to be replaced every 16 months.

Amazing iron going strong over 7+ years – Love my Oliso Iron, it's one of the original ones (orange color), brought it with me from Canada when we moved. I've had it for over 7 years if not 10, I don't remember how long ago it was bought. It still works beautifully and once it fails that's the only iron I'll buy. The legs and continuous steam is what do it for me. I also love the auto shut-off as I often leave and forget. Quiet expensive in Australia that's the only negative about it.

Really makes a difference – This is a fantastic iron that is wonderful to use. The safety features are great for quilting or busy people who get distracted. I do not put water in mine preferring to use a fine mist spray. I believe this will keep the iron from getting gummed up by impurities in the water. Purchased at Spotlight.

Finally gave in – I kept seeing this iron on quilting sites. Saw it on sale and decided to buy it. Couldn't as I am in Australia. Of course that made me want it more. Found an Aussie site that could send me one. Brilliant, 4 days later I was using my beautiful iron. Bright yellow and shiny and cute. Feels much safer to use with the little feet, this means I don't… Read more

have to lift and place upright. Extra long lead eliminates the need for an extension cord. Overall an excellent product. Could be a little less expensive.

I was and am AMAZED by how great this is! – I was at the craft show two years ago when I first saw the Oliso in person at the Janome Sewing Centre Stand. Of Course, I saw it soooo many times on fons, but I was sceptical. How could it actually do what it could do? I did give into temptation and brought it that day, and I have never looked back! The popup feet are a huge time saver for me,… Read more

especially on my patches. But what I really love is the steam burst. I still enjoy pressing the button and watching the steam go through the ironing board and come out the other side. It sounds silly but it is a fun distraction at times.

After talking it up for the last couple of years, I even have bought a couple for my mother and aunt! YAY!

Exceptional AAA+++ – So very happy with my Oliso pro smart iron:) I had seen YouTube demos on it before showcasing its 'feet' technology, so I knew I had to get one... I love to make patchwork quilts so not having to sit the iron upright every time I iron a small piece of fabric is wonderful.. The fact that I can glide it over and just leave it to raise itself off the… Read more

board is not only safer but does ironing quicker and puts less strain on my wrist having to flip it up and down all the time like a conventional iron...

Love the power of the Oliso steam. I have had many steam irons this one being very powerful which is great for all the jeans overalls etc that I have to iron for my large family.. It literally glides over tough fabrics leaving them smooth in one go.

Hand grip feels comfortable.

Yellow colour is uplifting:)

Will be telling everyone I know to buy an Oliso
