Rip off Artists – Too greedy. – about 5 times average. But I didn’t want to delay and stuff around and they could do the job the next day so I went with it. I had to pay most of the fee up front, including a hefty progress payment before the job even started.

They usually send their experienced (sales oriented) person to do the quote, and who pressures you to upsell and do additional work, but then send a less experienced person to do the work, and in this case they also sent one person when it was a two man job. I ended up having to assist with heavy some lifting and bracing to install it. What am I paying you clowns for? In fact one reason for the high price was that it was not a one man job

There were missing parts I had to chase up (which they evenutally got). Then later the guy had to go out for the right tools and more parts. In the end it was so late they couldn’t completely finish the job and need to come back, but still insisted I pay the entire remaining balance.

I don’t expect perfection but for Omegas exorbitant fees I expect them to live up to at least a good standard across the whole deal.

Also twice now they’ve been late (an hour etc) – my last electrical job about 1.5 hrs and this time just under an hour, and never paid the penalty they advertise.

You can’t charge these fees and cut corners, I feel they are getting too greedy now and their fee does not justify their end to end quality anymore.

I go elsewhere now.

Happy with the work and price – I’ve used Omega before and that’s why I called them again. Arrived on time, quoted a fair fixed price, came back at the agreed time, completed the works to my complete satisfaction and cleaned up afterwards. I’ll use Omega again when I next need electrical works.

Lovely people, great work – I've used Omega for a number of jobs, big and small. They're always done on time, and well done. The people are also lovely and I'm really happy to have them in my home.

Price rip off mob – Had these guys over to fix an electric hot water system a few years ago. Got sucked in by a no call out fee card they dropped in the letter box. The guy came in and quoted around $400 for the job and when I asked why he said the part is around $350. it. The 2nd guy came in a couple of hours, spent under 10 mins to take out and replace the thermostat and left. I had him leave the part with me and checked later with suppliers - its a less than $40 part. I complained to the office and got a standard reply that this is what it costs to cover there services. I asked to be provided with an itemized invoice but got nothing and they had the hide to send me an email asking for review. I wanted to leave a review then but got side tracked back then and today when I was looking online for some plumbing work these guys turned up at the top of the search probably because they are paying a lot to have them at the top of the search and dupe more innocent people. . I did read the reviews by other customers after my experience and can only concur 200% - they are just looking to turn up, quote some absurd pricing and rip you off. Avoid like a plague

Very expensive to the point of being unethical – I had Omega do some investigatory work on my drains. The cost of the work was excessive ($4k) and the solution they quoted was over complicated and expensive ($7k). I inquired why not a simpler solution and they claimed it would be more expensive. the cost of what Omega was trying to sell me. They also advised that the charging for the work that had been done by Omega was exceedingly expensive. I ceased the work order with Omega and asked for a refund of a portion of the progress payments I had made for the investigatory work, but they refused.

From my experience Omega do not provide true value for money and undermine the reputation of the Plumbing profession.

Ceiling fan installation – From quote to finished job great service great job and friendly staff. Installation was quick an efficient and cleaned up after. Would highly recommend and definitely use their service again.

Problems resolved without issue – After a bumpy start with a high quote from their non refundable quote option of $79. The pricing was also sorted out the work was done on time and well organised. Thanks for your help.

Taken advantage of!! – I was charged $757 plus GST to have a minimal number of leaves removed from my gutters. I have a very small single level home on a flat block where this job took one person no more than 30 minutes to complete. I realised I had been overcharged for the service performed and raised a complaint with Omega. I emailed twice and never heard back from one of the managers. I am appalled by this lack of service or customer care. I will never use Omega again and will tell everyone I know to not use them.

Prompt efficient service – The tradesmen arrived on time, provided good advice to solve my problem, and a full quote for the work required. They then did the work required, and cleaned up afterwards

Saved our central heating – Prompt service. They diagnosed the problem, ordered parts and returned to fix it. They had to come back as another part needed replacing. The parts came in quickly and they returned to completed job. Unfortunately needed them again 9 months later and was told that department had closed and they couldn’t help me. So I lost my guarantee on previous job and had to look for a new company to fix the same problem.

Very expensive and overcharged and a ripped off – Very expensive plumber, i was overcharged for the job that was quite easy and the man that was speaking on the phone told i have to compare omega plumber services with mercedes benz services and quality when its actually doesnt come close at all. sent it to my email and guess what happened, on their website it actually says lifetime warranty on their workmanship so they were acctually fooling me. So be extremely carefull guys with this company, they can overcharge you with very expensive quote and with very dodgy warranty!!!

Expensive but high quality outcome – The service team was incredibly polite and really cared about what they were doing. The job was very well done. Bailey was a pleasure to have on the job. The cost was very high though, so be prepared!

Buyer Beware! They were on A Current Affair for unfair pricing – As posted on Google: I hope this expensive lesson from me helps someone else. tap which was replaced with an Arco ($98 on eBay), a kitchen mixer (which I provided) and a 3/4 tap for the garden ($15 @ Bunnings). This meant that the 1.5 hour job cost me $695 equating to around $325 per hour (excluding consumables). I really want to warn anyone else that even though the bloke was friendly, I can't say it's worth quadruple the price of a normal plumber. I would have been happy if they charged a 15% premium over others but needless to say, this will be the last time I will be using this service.

New rheem hot water system – The service was prompt, courteous and professional. The new system was delivered and installed the following day and we are very happy with the result as regards on site work and office contact, emails and phone advice. Would be happy to recommend to others. There are probably cheaper options available but our belief is that you get what you pay for. Show details ·  1
