I have owned the omron-blood-pressure-monitor-bp791it since 2008. It appears to be keeping accurate measurements. How can I ensure that it is still calibrated within the specs for machines such as these?

Take it with you on your next visit to your cardiologist or doctor, and ask them to calibrate it. They will measure your BP manually, and compare it to the machine. Or buy a second Omron BP machine, which you should do once the original machine ages, especially the cuff, and use both, sometimes, and compare the results.
