I have used my Froothie Mamma Mia almost every day since receiving it last week. We have made fresh spaghetti or pasta a few times, juiced fruits and veges, and sliced and grated vegetables. It has worked so well and made it so easy to have fresh foods for my meals! We are very happy with this purchase. One container did arrive cracked, but an… Read more · 1
email to Froothie was sent and they arranged a replacement to be sent within 24 hours. I'm very happy to have one appliance that does a number of things, as my kitchen is small and doesn't have much storage.

Great! – We have made pasta once a week, used juicer once a week and the shredders too and now just tried the mincer and All I can say is that it’s a great new addition to our kitchen. I was going to get a kitchen aid pasta module but this one is far better and same price for an all automated version! We have loved it so far and it’s been 3 weeks. I never… Read more · 1
been a pasta person because I only like them fresh and now I can get them fresh anytime. I have tried the plain flour and whole meal flour keeping the plain flour recipe and wholemeal has been easier. I’m yet to try adding juiced in and make ravioli or lasagnas and don’t yet understand which of the plastic style I need to put for lasagnas.
love it easy to use – I have made pasta and noodle so far hubby loved it, I also made gluten free pasta for my mother-in-law she said it was the best she ever had, not sure if a good or bad thing, now I have to make for her all the time now. Noodles were like shop bought ones. Havant used the other attachments yet but loving it so far. Its beets using the old pasta machine. Show reply

Awesome machine! Fresh pasta that pays for itself! – I’ve tried making pasta by hand a few times and while the results taste good, it also takes a LOT of time and effort. Not to mention trying to feed the dough through the roller while turning the handle and also picking it up on the other side… But my family loves pasta and we usually buy the more expensive stuff, so on a whim I decided to look at… Read more · 1
automatic pasta makers and the Mamma Mia is the one that caught my eye, mostly because of the glowing reviews from customers especially the ones that said how quickly and easily the Mamma Mia extrudes pasta, so much so that you could make your pasta while waiting for the water to boil! It also helped that it was reportedly easier to clean than the competing brands. And above all, it is more than just a pasta maker. The additional functions of juicing, meat grinding, grating and shredding, and frozen treat making are icing on the cake. I haven’t used these functions yet (it’s been about ten days since I bought it) but having some experience with Kitchenaid attachments I’m expecting to be able to easily grind pork and beef mince and when tomatoes come into season I will be looking to make my own passata using the juicing attachment. In the meantime I’ve made four batches of egg pasta, two batches of semolina pasta, two batches of noodles, two batches of dumpling/gyoza skins and even a batch of Lavosh sesame crackers! I’ve had excellent support via WhatsApp in thinking through recipes and I’ve enjoyed sharing my successes on the Facebook group. What really sealed the deal for me is that all the pasta, noodles, dumpling skins and so on are not only fresh and delicious and entirely customisable, but also work out to a fraction of the cost of store-bought pasta, noodles and dumpling skins. For example, dumpling skins from the store cost me $7 per kg. I can make them for the cost of plain flour (and a little water) so that’s $1.10 per kg. The cheapest of the better quality store bought pasta starts at $9.90 per kg, ($4.95 for a half kilo bag). I can make egg pasta for about $2.66 per kg. Plain semolina pasta with no eggs is just the cost of semolina, around $2.10 per kg if I buy a 5 kg bag. Noodles are just the cost of strong flour and a little salt, $1.60 per kg. It’s already paying for itself!
On top of that it’s just so much fun to watch the machine push out pasta and noodles and sheets of dough! It took me two attempts to really nail the amount of liquid to add, and as other reviews have reported, the dough will appear “too dry”. But then it comes out so fast, it’s really satisfying!
Love this machine – Made basic pasta ,wholemeal and on weekend made gluten free pasta for my mothering law she loved it ,once I got the right liquid and consistency sorted a breeze ,we eat pasta more now doing the old way even with electric motor on old style machine this one's soooo much easier and less time consuming, carnt wait to use the rest of the setting .No regrets here . Turned a sceptic into a fan – I’ve had a traditional laminating roller pasta maker for over a decade and absolutely loved the pasta I could produce from it, well it finally wore out, so I went online to research its replacement. This is when I saw the Optimum Mamma Mia. It looked neat, but I was quite dubious it could produce the same perfect consistency pasta as my old… Read more · 3
laminating one. I was so much leaning towards replacing it with the same, but I shot off my concerns to Mamma Mia and they graciously offered to let me test their product and asked I give an honest review, well here it is. Now with my laminator I would make 200g flour batches which would equate to 2-3 sheets which I would run each through the rollers at least 20 times. This would take at least 40 mins of hard labour but as I said my results were awesome. Could this machine do any where near as good?
The Mamma Mia impressed me from the first use. I confess I altered the provided recipe and have subsequently learned to stick to the recipes as they work better but even this first try was acceptable. I also made a complete dish using the meat grinding attachment and the vegetable slicing attachment. Very impressive, especially the meat grinder giving perfect mince from any meat you might like. So does it produce the perfect pasta the 40 minutes of rolling through my old one did, well not quite but not too far off. It’s not quite as springy and needs even less cooking time than the old way. Also it can produce a roughness around spaghetti but this seems to disappear when cooking.
Is it a worthy replacement? Well, I haven’t bought another laminator! Where this unit blows me away is its convenience. I can have the ingredients in and the pasta under way while I’m boiling the water and making the sauce. By the time the water is boiling the pasta goes in and a few minutes later I’m finished. It’s too quick for me to finish some sauces so I must start these earlier.
My other main concerns were its footprint and how hard it would be to clean and how tough it would be. The unit doesn’t take up much more room than the laminator but can be positioned in a better area out of the way and it looks quite nice, so it’s left on the bench full time. All pasta attachments can be housed in the machine, but you do need some cupboard space for all the extra attachments but not that much. Cleaning is another impressive feature; I’m a messy cook and I often ditch cleaning duties, but this thing cleans up a breeze. If you get too much fat in the meat mincer you have a little job to pick it out, I tested this with a chunk of fat but really the reason I’m going to mince my own meat is so I can keep it lean. Looking at the website I was worried the plastic may not hold up to the kneading of pasta dough, but the mixing paddle is really strong and I don’t see it failing any time soon. Opening the lid is not intuitive, you must squeeze two tabs together. Once you remember this it’s no issue.
There is a whole online community with tips and tricks but I’ve been too busy to really utilise it so lucky I’ve had this machine as I’ve been too busy to make pasta the old way too. If you follow the basic recipe it will work every time. I do believe when I spend more time with it I will be able to tweak things and improve my results but for now whenever the kids ask for dad’s pasta tonight it’s so easy to say yes.

Great kitchen appliances – Slow juicer Have been using this juicer for a month now. Great juicer and very safe with kids. My 4yr old loves making juice daily. Only thing I found when juicing that hard vegetables like carrots and beets you need to apply a bit of pressure, but still juices well. Don't think it really needs to have a timer on the juicer. Very easy to use and… Read more · 1
clean. Takes like minute to clean it. Very compact, I just leave it on the my kitchen beach. Extremely quiet compared to other juicers. My coffee machine is louder than the juicer. Unlike some of the more expensive ones on the market that have bigger chutes to place whole fruits in it is a fantastic product.
Grater So easy to use and clean and set up. Grates all sorts of vegetables well. Same as juicer I don't think it needs a timer. I found when creating carrots and cheese it would spit it out the side. Maybe a cover over the front or a chute would help this but not a massive issue.
Pasta maker Still yet to master this. Not sure what I am doing but every time I Cook the pasta it goes hard, but to make the pasta so easy and less mess then making by hand. My daughter loves making it with me and watching all the shapes come out. Will keep practicing the cooking side. Extremely easy to clean. Very safe with little children
For the price or someone new to juicing and pasta making it is a fantastic product. Saves having to have 4 different appliances and them taking up bench and cupboard space. Good for anyone that is a small house or unit.
Highly recommend this product to anyone. Delivery for me in Melbourne was very fast.

homemade chicken and veg meatballs with his spaghetti so I could easily whip out a delicious and nutritious meal for him in no time using this nifty kitchen helper.
Making cold press juice and frozen treats is extremely easy too - just swap out the pasta parts with the juicer parts. I can definitely say that I could prepare a healthy, yummy meal from appetiser to dessert for my family using the Optimum Mamma Mia.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this machine as it made my life so much more efficient. I have been using the Mamma Mia for over 6 months and I still enjoy using it.
Cleaning is not challenging either even though there are many parts (not many if only use 1 type). If you use the pasta maker, meat grinder, slicer and juicer all in one preparation then there may be quite a few to wash. Just give them a good rinse and remove any leftover pulp or particles stuck in the openings before chucking them into the dishwasher.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save countertop space, looking for a machine that does everything or someone who is busy with life but still wants to make homecooked meals just like myself.

BEST MACHINE EVER – Recently purchased the Mamma Mia and finally had a chance to use it on Sunday. First tried grating zucchini. I have used the Cuisine Companion attachment and Ninja blender attachments previously and they just turn zucchini to mush. This grated it perfectly, as if I had done it by hand. Then I decided to give spaghetti a go. Never having made… Read more · 1
pasta from scratch before (and Im 60) I was rather nervous. Reviews of other pasta machines said they failed or were extremely difficult to clean. Not the Mamma Mia.... perfect spaghetti and easy cleanup. I cant wait to try it for juicing and frozen dessert. I think I'm in love.....
