Orawell rat tests do not work – I am very sick and have tested positive with a nose swab test .have now done 2 orawell tests an results were negative. ORAWELL tests do not work .there must be 1000s if people out there spreading covid that think they are negative.

Useless – My partner was really sick with covid. 2 positive RAT tests with All Tests and then he received Orawell tests from his employer. 3 negatives...no positives..then we did another RAT with All Tests and again a positive. These are rubbish.. Show details

Unreliable – Tested 3 times negative. Tested with a nasal swab positive. Confirmed with PCR. These don’t work. Now family infected!

Cannot trust this device – Newly opened and a small line existed across the T line area. Control line worked quickly. Tested negative but unsure as the T line was visible before the test and did not change after the test. Show details

Inaffective, cant be trusted – I am recovering from covid. Day10 tested with Orawell, just a mouth swab. Showed negative. Same day tested with Lungene, lateral Flow which required nasal swabs and it read positive. The Queensland government is dishing out Orawell free for pensioners. They must be cheaper. Show details

Inaccurate and unreliable – Was provided this product as a free test. Showed a faint line on the "T" area on opening and prior to me using. After using the product the faint line remained, suggesting I might be positive. I tried three other brands. They all showed I was negative. Haven't got sick and have remained negative. I can only conclude that Orawell gives false readings. Show details

Terrible – My son has covid and every other saliva test and nasal swab comes up positive in a matter of seconds. Used 2 of these and after the 15 minute wait they both said negative Show details

Waste of $$ – Took a nasal swab, come back positive. Confirmed with PCR. Been using the salvia ones to test my little ones and thought I’d test it to check the accuracy as I had doubts as I’m 99.9% I picked it up from my child. And Yep - didn’t pick it up ‍ Show details

Inaccurate – I have covid (on day 5) and have tested positive on several nasal swab RAT tests. I have a stack of these orawell saliva tests sent home from my child’s school, so I did a side by side comparison with a nasal test (rightsign) that i know works. Nasal test showed positive in about 15-20 seconds with strong line. Orawell showed negative after 15 minutes. Draw your own conclusions…. Show details

Works well, highly recommend – I was very happy, I found other tests to be confusing to get a reading. This test was very easy to understand and instructions were easy for me to follow Show details

So many false positives – My family of 6 have been testing all week due to 2 of the kids contracting covid confirmed by pcr. We have used at least 18 of these tests with all of them being a definite positive result- two pink lines within the timeframe, however the 4 of us still testing positive on the Orawell are still Negative from 3 pcr tests, most recent being just yesterday.

A false positive – Unsure how reliable they are because my daughter tested negative in AM then positive in PM. So we used a different test straight away, it was negative. A false positive. Show details

Wrong wrong wrong – These are currently being distributed through ACT schools. We’ve had positive RAT tests from this brand. I’m a nurse so I followed up with PCR tests. All neg. This has happened to 3 other families throughout catchment areas just this week. I hazard to guess how many families have lost a week of their lives on a false positive. Obviously they’d… Read more

also potentially provide correct positives. My advice. Since these are school provided always follow up with a pcr before reporting ito ensure accuracy.

Innacurate – I used them on a known positive child. To test if they worked. Test result came back negative. Waste of money. Don't bother. Innacurate. Unsafe. Test was done to the instructions to the tee.

Less discomfort – I've had them all, PCR nasal swabs from 4 different clinics, and rapid antigen tests of the again, nasal swab variety....NOT fun! I bought a couple of packs (5 per pack), from eBay just before Christmas (3 weeks ago). I was attending a function, and required a negative test to gain entry. These Orawell Rapid tests were of the saliva… Read more

variety.......cough into your elbow (violently, if possible), to get as much viral load into your mouth, then swish away inside, scraping the insides of your cheeks, then wait. DO NOT TILT your test pallet. Just put it down and resist touching it. The "Control" line showed up in a minute of two...but only faintly.....light pink line.....another 10 - 15 minutes before a certain result could be given......nothing! No 2nd line next the the "T". I'm negative. Three days after the function, I had a precautionary PCR, as 3 other guests tested positive.....again ....negative! The 3 other guests had in fact gone to pubs and restaurants the following function, so it's had to say if there was a super spreader event. It's been over a week now, and no other guests have reported positive. PHEW!
