These are comfortable to wear, however that is the only positive. For the price I paid they are extremely poor quality. The glue has separated and I am unable to repair or wear them. We live in a warm climate and sandals should be made to wear in summer. I will not be purchasing from Scholl again. Show details

Follow-up  · The footwear only last for approx 2 years, but I only wear them in summer and on weekends. They are a two piece sandal with the bottom sole and top sole separating, particulary at the toes and heel. The company was unable to provide a refund because I had them for 2 years.

After returning the first pair because their AU size 11 is too tight for a normal AU size 11 foot. The second pair of shoes I was sent are defective..After wearing less than a few hours the soles separated from shoes. The non slip sole is only a very thin piece of rubber glued to the rest of the sole. The upper and the inners seem to be reasonable quality. But really poor design and manufacturing of the very sole of the shoes. Show details

Bought these through "Athletes foot" in Erina/Tuggerah. What a great product, I am on my fifth pair. Yes, I have had some stitching issues on the second pair but the comfort of the Wacka is superb. In regards to how good they have been for me, I have walked all the way around Uluru and walked all the way around Kata Tjuta, then up into the Walpa… Read more

Gorge and back. This is serious walking terrain and they gave me grip, comfort and managability in the heat. With that have travelled another 10km, (work) on a daily bases which is over 1 month ago.

Scholl Mens Orthaheel Thongs Absolute Rubbish – WARNING, do not buy these thongs from Scholl direct or from Jim Kidds or any other retail shop. They are just rubbish and unless you have your receipt you will get no action on replacement from the retail store AND Scholl will not do anything either as you need to have bought them from Scholl direct on line. Less than 4 months old with little… Read more

wear and this happened as there was no evidence of the toe webbing being glued in place properly---see photo.---well can't paste the photo---how convenient---but what happened is, the toe webbing just pulled out from the base of the thong---now useless and a costly set of thongs. Will never buy again and others be warned.

Comfortable wear but please read below as a warning – thongs are good BUT do not leave them in your car or in direct sunlight..the glue melts and the thongs come apart AND the top part shrinks, yes that is correct shrinks. Then you cannot glue them back as significantly smaller than the bottom section.

Worst footwear product and the most expensive – Bought a replacement pair of Orthoheel thongs and soles fell apart after a few uses and the fit was found to be very loose with thongs falling off when walking unless toes are curled up while you walk. Complained about the delaminated sole issue and sent back the $70+ thongs and received a replacement pair but elected to have a smaller size to… Read more

negate the poor and sloppy fit. Found these to be just as bad as the larger pair and after a few weeks trying to wear these thongs and having several near falls with the loose fit and trying to curl my foot up decided to abandon them before I had a proper fall and injured myself. I made further complaints regarding the poor fit but never received a response from anz footwear other than to say they were made to some standard and were fine. What was once was once a fine product has now become a poor quality, poor fitting and dangerous footwear product to use. Be very aware of safety here and definitely try before buying. The sole delamination issue they accepted.

Well worth buying for fit and comfort – I have bought a few of the scholl orthoheel products. I have a bit of over pronation in one foot and I find my feet can get quite tired from walking, so these days it pays to buy decent quality footwear. My first purchase was a pair of sneakers. At first I thought the inbuilt orthotic section might be uncomfortable as I could feel it when I put… Read more

the sneakers on but it is actually really comfortable for walking in. They are 3 years old now and still going strong. Then I bought some sandals a year ago. They are absolutely fabulous for comfort, as well as being quite smart. They don't look like orthotic footwear, put it that way. And I have worn them a lot. They have velcro so are adjustable, they are flat and I can walk for hours in them without them rubbing or causing foot fatigue. In fact, I was so happy with them that I went back and bought another pair of the same sandals in a different colour recently. I find they are true to size. I take a size 8 Australian/Size 39 European & so far, this size had been a good fit in Scholl across the different styles. I don't find this brand easy to find in all shops though. I buy mine from the local pharmacy but I would like to see them more widely available.

They're not cheap (although you can sometimes buy them on sale, which I was lucky enough to do with the sandals) but I think they are worth the money for fit and comfort.

Review for Scholl Orthaheel Wave Thongs – I’m found this thongs to be extremely comfortable and nice to walk all year around, here in NSW Australia. I feel being barefooted while wearing them and unlike some other, softer brands, I could safely drive or even ride bike in them. After swim at local pool or a beach I always regularly take showers in them to avoid fungus infection or… Read more

allergies reactions to my foot (I had before).

So I’m very happy with this thongs, and main reason why is because I got very sensitive feet’s and no ordinary shoes are good for me, I’m feeling sometimes a lots of pain when walk in some other shoes. The best for me, to walk around are “Garmont”, “Ahnu” or “Zamberlan”, and some other would do too, but they are all hiking shoes and to feel really light, barefooted everyday to shops or to the beach, even restaurant on those hot Australian days thongs might be a better option!

I think that they are value for the money, comfortable enough for a long walks , quality rather awesome compared to other ,rubber thongs, good on skin, they could last a lot longer then some other summer slippers.

This is my second pair of Scholl Orthaheel Wave Tong, and both were purchased at local Pharmacy for $50 and second pair for a $60 AU.

I bought thongs not slippers – I bought a new pair of thongs as my old one were comfy but looking a bit shabby and we were going on holidays... they seemed to be fine until we got on the tiles at the hotel and no one else seemed to be having a problem but i felt like i was slipping with every step.. I decided not to wear them in the hotel but wore them out on a boat tour that… Read more

we did.. we took our footwear off and boarded the boat and we were all barefoot all day.. then at the end of a fabulous day on a speed boat exploring the islands of Thailand we were given our shoes back.. i put mine on and as i went to step off the boat my foot slipped sending me crashing down, smashing my head on the way.. i was dazed with blood running down my head and neck and thought our travel insurance will get used this time... it turned out i didn't need stitches but my head was really sore for the whole holiday and longer.. the funny thing is that most of the other people had $5 thongs and they were jumping off the boat no problems and there was me with my $60 orthaheels to scared to walk in them.... i don't know why they are so slippery..

Plantar Fasciitis control – My new Scholl Orthaheel sandals keep my plantar fasciitis under control due to the shape which keeps my foot in the right position. The sandals are smart enough to wear with summer dresses when I need to be cool providing an alternative to trainers.

Whilst these sandels (Scholl orthoheel) purchased from Athletes Foot are comfortable the quality is dismal. Straps failed after less than 5 months due to defective velcro -no longer closing. Warranty on them was refused as fair wear and tear by Athletes Foot. Would not recommend. Show details

Poor quality - Orthaheel Wave 2 toe strap snapped after 3 months – The toe strap snapped after only 3 months of light use on my Orthaheel Wave 2 thongs. I contacted Scholl and they said they can’t refund or replace the item as I purchased them through a third party . I’m travelling around Australia so can’t return them to place of purchase. Scholl don’t stand by their products so I will cease using them. Show details

Shoes are decent, business is not – Bought two pairs from the online store. Xompany couldn't supply one pair so they refunded me for that pair. The pair I received were too small, I sent back for an exchange. They can not supply the size I need so they've refunded me the second pair of shoes but are refusing to refund me the postage. So I've paid postage on two pairs of shoes I don't have. Pretty poor form for my first order.

I expected better from shoes recommended by podiatrists! – Having worn various Skechers shoes for many years very comfortably, I thought I would try a pair of Scholl Orthaheels in a sneaker style (ordered online). Seeing as Scholl had “Ortha” in the name made me think they were going to be ultra comfortable. These shoes are so narrow across the foot there was no way ever these were going to be… Read more

comfortable let alone get my foot in despite a good length in the shoe. I notice that Scholl do not offer a wide foot option so I reasonbly thought they would have at least has this aspect covered. So I guess they are made for very skinny people with equally skinny feet. Next time I’ll have to be more sceptical when a company trumpets “Ortha”, or claims to be recommended by podiatrists. Well, it’s back to Skechers, which btw, I can honestly recommend to anyone despite their price.

Bad Quality for the price – Subject: Complaint about the poor quality of shoe Good Afternoon I am writing this letter to you to complain about the poor quality of tread on the shoes I recently bought. Absorber footbed. I have a bilateral navicular collapse and usually have to wear orthotics. The fit and support of the Everest was perfect. I have only had them for just over 3 months and have worn them around 3 times a week and the sole is almost completely worn down at the front and i now feel every little pebble or stone. I used to get Skechers but found this was the problem with them also and i thought at your price point they would last a bit longer.

I had no response from Scoll..

Do not buy these shoes

Sandal made my feet hot and created very painful pressure points – I have purchased several pairs of Scholl Orthaheel sandals and find them very uncomfortable. Very expensive short lifespan – Expensive footwear. I purchased a pair of men's Sonona ll thongs. Lasted less than 6 months before the toe strap split. took them back and had them replaced with a new pair of Wave ll thongs. Had my new pair for around 4 months and the sole has worn down already and become slippery. very dangerous if walking on concrete or smooth bitumen especially if its damp. Definitely be looking for another brand.

Scholls orthaheels Leather upper tore – Hardly worn the sandals and my foot is smaller width than the thongs so no pressure on the upper. The flimsy upper tore easily as the upper has “holes” in them...so easily to tear. No refund as past the warranty time, yet hardly worn..wore a few times at Xmas, as they are red sandals. A waste of money as now unwearable. But I have to say the orthotic sole is wonderful. Do not buy “holey” uppers.

The product is breaking down – The inserts are falling apart after two years. The shoes they are in are fine. Waste of money and plenty of blisters. For something that supposed to make your shoes more comfortable this clearly has not happened.

Fantastic comfy shoes – I've had this pair for almost 3 years now (Style: Stride Walker), and I probably should get a new pair as it's looking the worse for wear (scuffs, small cracks/holes, loose threads). But it's so comfy, and they're not stocked where I previously purchased them online - so I can't bear to throw them away! I wear it weekdays for work; on occasional… Read more

5km walks; and use it when I occasionally commute to work on my bicycle (1hr each way). I bought size EURO 40, and normally am a US 7.5. Now when I first bought this, I remember it being a bit tight and stiff - but it wasn't unbearable, and after a short time, it became my favourite go-to shoe. It's cushioning is fantastic for my knees as we have many stairs at work. I do note that the feet can get hot - eg. after a 5km walk but it really hasn't bothered me. Will definitely look to buy a new pair, if I see them back in stock.

Scholl Orthaheel Stride Walker – Bought these expensive Scholl shoes as I work long hours on my feet. high and grind on my ankle bone. I've worn these shoes to work twice now (9 hour shifts) and can't wait to get them off. Unfortunately, I've wasted over $100 on these shoes and can't possibly wear them again as the foot pain is not worth it. Very badly designed and certainly not recommended!

Poor quality badly made – Having had previous Sonoma sandals/thongs before am disgusted. Sizing is smaller, foot narrower. I just took a new pair away with me, left them in the car as I was wearing an old pair. Got to them next day the bottom had come off. The top had shrunk. No way to glue them as both different sizes now. Never buy them again. Not cheap but cheaply made.

Melted! – Upper and lower sole separated within 2 months of limited wear. I took them back to point of purchase for advice and was told that the glue melted in hot sun, and there was nothing they could do. Thongs are what people wear on hot sunny days, I thought! Very disappointed and won’t be buying again.

Comfortable but lack durability – I bought the orthaheel thongs ( called flip-flops or jandals in other countries). They were comfortable and supported the foot arch. However, to my disappointment, I got very little wear from them because the upper straps disintegrated and the foot bed separated from the sole making them unwearable after only 1 season. I will buy ordinary rubber thongs from now on.
