Otek PS900 Film

Extremely disappointed – I received the PS900S for Christmas 2012. I finally got time to have a go in March 2013 & how disappointing. I hope I am not doing anything wrong but the images are so grainy you couldn't use them for anything. It sounds more like it is taking a photo of the photo & not actually scanning it. The image looks ok in the preview window before you "scan" it but when you hit the capture or scan buttons the image comes onto the screen really grainy. I also tried with the negative but unfortunately got the same grainy images. I have also looked online to see if I could find any reviews or to see if I am doing anything wrong but can only find anything for the PS900. I have used my brother in laws slide scanner (different make & model) previously & it was fantastic & have always wanted a photo scanner but alas I think I will have to go & buy another one that gives better results & hope that the person who bought didn't pay to much for the PS900S. It's very easy to use. Images come out way to grainy.

Works well – Purchased my PS970 online some time ago, for much less than the price listed on the official site, and have had very good results copying photos and slides. Unfortunately the negative copies all have a 'light flair' on one corner. Lent it to my brother-in-law and he was very happy with the results as well. The speed and ease of copying onto a card and transferring to the laptop is sooooo simple.

Also, I didn't receive a disc with mine, just read the leaflet and started using; no hassles. Very easy to use

Easy to use ....but – Purchased one on line 6 weeks ago and it was easy to set up and use. results unfortunately are almost unusable. Colours are nothing like the original slide and the lighting is very uneven with obvious fall off towards the edges. Colour corrections controls limited so need to lots in some other editing program to get a barely usable result. Very dissapointed. Easy to set up Terrible results

Nothing is going right, accept for the delivery unfortunately – I received this product 5 weeks ago and I have finally got it up running. When I first received it I found my software disk (not authentic) was corrupted with a virus. Then they sent me copied one. The instructions I received were written in broken english and very vague. I don't have alot of knowlegde of device drivers and I had to work it all out for myself. It has it's glitches and if you have the time and patience you should be able to work your way around them eventually.
