Ozito ELV-1400 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: ELV-1400 and ELV1400Has the poor quality bag issue been fixed?
My vacuum is blowing atm. Is there a switch? It’s been Gr8 til now. Can u tell me how to fix it
yes,the reason its blowing is because the bag is worn or damaged and the debris your sucking is just blowing out instead of being sucked into the bag. YOU NEED A NEW BAG.!!!!
Does it pick up sand?
Does anyone know if the bag issue has been addressed please. I am looking at purchasing this at Bunnings and hesitate to do because of the bag issue I’ve seen here. Thank you in advance
I was able to purchase replacement bags easily enough from Bunnings. They are the same quality as the one supplied with the original product.
Thank you so much for your fast response. Hopefully the company has addressed the issue of disintegrating bags. However I do feel better knowing replacements are readily available. Thanks again for your help.
Have the bag issues been addressed ? Why do product manufactures have deaf ears to customer concearns they should be the the best R&D feedback as they are the public that actually buys the product?
Replacement bag appears to be more robust and more likely to wear out than just disintegrate.
I asked the same question months ago and i still haven't received an answer. What's the point, I wonder? It just means I won't be recommending their product to anyone else.
Thanks Sheila & Pathfinder for your feedback. I will look for other options.
Has there been a more sturdier bag made for the ozito 1600w electric garden vac?
Hi Stan Unfortunately they have done nothing about the issue. One would have to wonder why when so many people have the same issue. I think more people need to create a fuss with them about this issue. Regards, Barbara
Yes, I am pretty disgusted that the bag is so weak and doesn't last long. Also since Bunnings sells the garden vac but doesn't stock the bags I am pretty disgusted with that as well. I had to order new ones and wait for a few weeks to receive them.
Barbara what material did you use for your homemade bag?
Hi Tony I am afraid I cannot help you much because I tried several and none of them worked unfortunately. I even tried shade cloth but that was too thick to get around and secure at the top. I do believe that Ozito and other suppliers who use this material should return to the original material that blower vac bags were made of. My previous one lasted for many years until the machine died. It did me good service though as I had a very large area to vac. They no longer supply those bags either unfortunately or I never would have purchased an Ozito. Sorry I am not able to assist. I hope you are more successful. Cheers. Barbara
l am very interested in buying this vacuum for the garden but after reading all the reviews the bag is a problem - has this been sorted out yet with stronger bags? Looking forward to your response = Denise Boettiger
I am waiting for an answer to my question
Hi Denise The bags do not last but a few weeks unfortunately. I have even written to them requesting that they consider using a different fabric. Due to the cost of replacement bags we have taken to making our own. To do so requires using cable ties to connect the fittings. If you go down that track, please make sure that whatever fabric you use breathes, I hope this helps.
So how do l get the bags you are making?

People complain about the bags on ALL garden vacs. In order for a garden vac operate, a bag needs to be made of a material that allows air to pass through freely but also thick enough to catch dust. It's almost impossible to make a tougher one. I reinfored mine and the air pressure that built up inside caused it to rip the seams. They just need to lower the price of the replacement and treat them as a desposable item
