Great price, works well with thicker line – I bought this so I could keep my driveway and footpath edges tidy and straight. I've used it 3 times and the cutting cord was annoying as it kept breaking and freying. On the 3rd use I changed the cord to a thicker one and it worked great. The handle is a bit short for me as I am 180cm tall but I only use as an edger so no lifting or bending. … Read more

For the price I think it is easy to use and works well and is quite light . It beats using our petrol one as I find it hard to use. I recommend this product for small jobs.

OZITO 36 Volt Line Trimmer – (UPDATE) I bought it because I thought being 36V it had to be reasonable (A BIT OF AN EXPERIMENT). It was fantastic for about 1 year. I (no longer ) rate it as good as my 20 year old Honda 422. It cuts through thick pasture grass and Kikuyu BUT REALISTICALLY IS NOT HEAVY DUTY ENOUGH FOR MY USAGE. Battery rundown is better than I expected even the… Read more

2Ahr goes a reasonable distance. For about $500 I have multiple chargers and extra 4Ahr batteries, that fit impact driver/drill set (THESE HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT), spray gun. Equivalent Honda with all batteries and charger is barely under $1000 (PROBABLY FOR GOOD REASON). I have 2.5 acres property and barely a fortnight goes by I don't use it. I've had it a year to a year and a half (EVIDENTLY THE LIMIT FOR THIS MACHINE, WITH THE WORK LOAD I HAVE). IF YOU HAVE A NORMAL BACK YARD IT WOULD BE FINE, BUT; Like all machines preventative maintenance should be carried out. Clean the air intakes/outlets (ESSENTIAL TO PREVENT OVERHEATING, THE MOTOR IS AT THE CUTTER END), simple easy access to do. Clean the guard and check for any damage to the entire unit.! You need fairly thick line or you will eat through it like nobody's business. The tap auto feed works fine, the only thing is it tends to feed more line when you tap, than it does when you manually feed more line, by pressing the button and pulling out a bit more. The spool and feed mechanism is the simplest and easiest I have used. UPDATE! (Only buy for use in a suburban back yard. Not suitable for acreage!) I have since bought a Makita trimmer. Much better quality!

Easy to use – Bought 2nd hand for $5 from market place. already had thicker trimmer line. I went to Bunnings, staff recommend me to buy 1.6mm coz its electric trimmer. When I asked, he said "coz its better.." No reason at all. I do know new thin line is not strong enough, from review how people complain. thicker line is much better and I extra tighten by learnt… Read more

from youtube. So I got 2.7mm trimmer line. As far as machine goes, best $5 spent for long time. those complaint maybe old age, need to do some research, gets hand dirty and do actual work. Who buys for full price anyway lol? For $5, I clean front lawn, street, and even next door neighbour street , even they dont say hello.

This is possibly the biggest waste of my money ever. It barely does the job. The line is constantly breaking and fusing – Rubbish product. Doesn’t last five minutes without changing and re- feeding the line. This is a Complete waste of money and frustrating to use. I threw mine in the wheelie bin. Show details

Don't bother – I have not had a good experience with the electric line trimmer. 1. The line feeder mechanism just doesn't work. It is possible to manually feed however that is very time consuming and has to be done very often. 2. Sometimes no lines are present despite finding plenty of lead on the lead cassette. 3. Sometimes one lead is present and the other… Read more

is not feeding at all because it is fused (welded") to itself in the cartridge.

3. Often, I check why no lead is feeding and find the lead is fused ("welded") to itself in the cartridge.

Overall it is a very frustrating garden tool that does not live up to what is said about it - e.g., line feeding mechanism does not work, the line is fused to itself in the cartridge, the lines sometimes tangle.

Rage inducing – Exceedingly frustrating in build. The line feed spool is terribly designed and unintuitive to refill. The handle is secured to a tube which spins easily on the mating end of the other tube for the head. There is a false tightening ring with a decorative ‘cam lever’ which do NOTHING to stop this rotation happening. This results in the working… Read more

end bumping out of position constantly and gouging great chunks of turf /soil out into the air instead of neatly trimming grass in the desired horizontal manner. The line it comes with is absolute garbage. Might as well use a piece of overcooked spaghetti. Ditch it and buy new stuff. Drill and stick a screw into the tube join to stop it rotating. Don’t damage the electrical cable inside the tube when you do the drilling.

If you can afford any other unit, don’t buy this one.

Ok for price. Crap line auto-feed – Works fine except you will be fixing the line every 5 minutes. The line auto-feed does not work well. The line often gets cut and you would have to feed it through the hole quite often.  Show details

Don’t like this trimmer – Don’t like this trimmer. Always have to be adjusting the line. Have to stop all the time as line does not feed. Are having to rewind a lot as the line jams in the spindle. Very frustrating and would not recommend! Show details

I am returning this tomorrow – I was initially impressed with this in its first use and then in the second use the line no longer came out. According to the website it should auto spool, which it doesn’t. If you read the reviews on the Bunnings website you’ll see other reviews that mention issues with the spool, it’s incredibly frustrating and attempting to use it today and… Read more

every 5 minutes I had to try and rethread it. I’ve had it about 4 months and used it three times, but I’ll be returning it tomorrow for a refund.

Great mower for small people – This was the only brand of electric line trimmers in bunnings. The reason why I chose this one is because it is cheap compared to other whipper snippers, no battery and diesel required hence it is lighter. I have purchased ozito electric blower before and I like it. For a small lawn with many obstacles and objects on the ground this is a perfect… Read more

size. Also since it is smallish and lighter this becomes quite handy for a small person although this is still feel heavy if it is used for more than 10mins but for less than 3kgs, there are not many line trimmers with this weight in the market.

Gets the job done – An excellent piece of equipment at an affordable price for all. With it being electric there’s no need to worry about having to purchase petrol especially with price of petrol
