Amazingly good for the price! – I thought it would be a bit crap due to the price, but was shocked with the quality of the sprayer and the finish it managed to produce. The only pain point is that you need to wipe the nose about every 0.5 sq metres if you don't want any splotches, but this takes less than a second. Show details

to thinning and filtering the paint than the instruction sheet supplied) and read these reviews before use. I used the suppled thinning measuring cup to thin the new paint to run through in 30 seconds (which required about 30% water added) and set spray nozzle to minimum. The spraying went well with good coverage but did run in a number of places where I applied too much too quickly. Cleaning up was easy with dismantling and plenty of water including spray through. The biggest problem was overspray. Even though there was no wind and the doors were hanging from a line outside, numerous small paint spots were found on objects a couple of meters away from the spraying so it is important to protect anything nearby. For furniture I suggest some practice first to get good results but for outside structures such as fences with nooks and crannies requiring less than perfect finish and less worry with overspray the Ozito would be ideal.

For under $50 a great buy – Wanted to freshen up the roof tiles on the cheap , a once only job - so gave it ago . Easy to assemble and use. angle . Easy to clean. The pot is only 800mil so for big jobs consider larger units ( there is a 1.3 litre 700 amp model but only sold in NZ for some reason. This unit is 400 amp. I was getting about 8m2 per fill I was going to throw it away after my job but just may now keep it as its still going strong. Great for awkward or rough surfaces like fences, roofing. Would not use inside house.

Great little sprayer! – I bought this sprayer a couple of years ago. In the beginning I was struggling a little bit with it but if you water down the paint to a good ratio the sprayer works very well. Also try to clean the head regularly during the job. I have sprayed my shed, fences and even weatherboards cladding. The overspray is quite bad so make sure you tape off areas with plastic. Show details

You get what you pay for – I would describe it as a hair dryer with a straw in a paint pot. Yes probably ok for painting a wooden fence but not much else. Glad I got an easy refund. Show details

Difficult to use – This paint gun continually jams with paint. I have to continually pull it apart and clean it every 15 minutes. It really needs to be built to a quality whereby multiple uses can be utilised without it jamming up with paint. Disappointed! Show details

Handy compact Power Paint Spray Gun – Purchased to paint a new timber fence. Its easy to use and cleans up like brand new. Only downside is the container is a bit small so had to keep refilling it to finish the job and wish it had a button to keep the sprayer on rather than having to hold the trigger in. For small jobs it would be great but it handle the many hours it took to do the job.

Handy. Love it! – I had 2 x horrible rammed earth/ mud brick retaining walls to paint. They were awful. home, unboxed it etc. My ratio of Duraguard paint was 500ml paint and 300ml water, to fill the 800ml pot. I put them both in the pot and shook it all up and started spraying. So much fun! The first coat took me 15 minutes (compared to the roller that took 2 hours) 3 coats of paint on this horrible wall took less than 3 hours (including drying time)

I read other reviews that said their paint was patchy - i had this when my paint was too thick so i just watered it down a littlw more.

Worth every penny!

Best $40 spent at Bunnings EVER!!! – Love this spray gun. I've been using it for outdoor fence painting, and if you needed it for finer work, I'm not sure how it would go. From reading other reviews, I think I may have lucked out on my spray adjustment, and important to note that cleaning afterwards is important. It takes a short while to get used to watering down paint to get the right viscosity but once you lick that, this is a huge time saver!!!! Remembering the big ordeal painting by hand the first time, this makes the job a sinch.

Great for oil no good for paint – Sprayed my bamboo with oil fine. Then used it for paint and sprays blotchy. No good you will never get an even finish. I had to go get more paint as a result

Honest review. Works perfectly – I love it. I sprayed some posts under the deck and some lattice and a brick wall. Saved me alot of time. They're not heavy but after 10 minutes you may use 2 hands to hold it. Mixing the paint with water is the fussy part. Then you wont have a problem and you'll get a nice fine spray mist that is controllable. Turn the plastic screw so that the trigger just starts to spray. When cleaning with water turn the trigger to full spray.

It comes with a cup with a hole in the bottom. Water down the paint and mix in a dedicated separate container. The cup should not take longer than 30 seconds to get empty through it's hole in the bottom. If it does then add more water.

Important to throw that cup in a bucket of water when not using it so you can wash it easily later.

Good idea to use a dedicated small kitchen strainer to filter your mixed paint when pouring it into the sprayer pot..... especially if using old paint which could have dried paint chunks in it which will block the spray straw etc.

If the sprayer is getting blocked then unscrew the brass spray tip using plyers....fill up the pot with water and spray through a full pot of clean water through to push put any blockages. The blockages for me were dried paint from my paint can that was left in the sun.

Washing up is easy just unscrew pot and rinse with hose.....then fill with water and spray out the water through the sprayer. Also unscrew the pot and hose the straw assembly. The included needle is to pick at dried paint when cleaning.

The plastic covering the brass tip can be adjusted to horizontal or vertical spray pattern.

It works fine and is a great tool. Obviously have to tape off sections or use cardboard to block spray. The overspray is not that bad.

yeah.....narh – felt good to hold and sturdy but paint in splotches everywhere sounded smooth but you could see the pulsing of the paint taking back for a refund 1st ozito product...... probably be my last

Would've been handy for small jobs if it had worked.
