Pacsafe Vibe 100 anti-theft bumbag – Just to be clear, this review is about the bum bag/hip pouch only, not any other handbags etc It is well made, it is roomy, it has all the compartments it says it has. So why have I given it a one star rating? Because of the way the belt does up. Most bum bags have a belt that clicks together. The pacsafe bag we bought has a tiny little black wheel, very hard to make out on the black background and only a very small space between open/shut.

When it is worn, & turned to the open position, it still often does not open. It's too small, too fiddly, too frustrating.

I bought it for my husband & our China tour. There were times he just could not get it to open & had to pull it either over or down his body to get it off.

If you've ever been in China, you'd know how every possible venue there requires you to put all bags through a scanner, not just airports but zoos, temples, you name it. So getting it on & off was a hassle several times a day.

We became so frustrated at the bag that was so hard to undo that I ended up buying him a $5 bumbag at a market there and the pacsafe went back in the suitcase.

I'd like to give it 5 stars but the open/shut mechanism on the belt needs to be made way easier, it's too little, too hard to see & manoeuvre & doesn't always work, even when in the open position.

Excellent product for overseas travel – I did a lot of research on the net and my wife bought a bag made by this manufacturer. I was so impressed when it was delivered I purchased an anti theft hip bag made by the same company. It is well constructed. The bag has numerous anti theft features such as steel cabling in the strap. lockable double zipping to compartments. Lockable belt buckle to enable locking the bag to any hardy anchor point such as a chair or table when you are eating. It also has an RFID compartment to stop thieves skimming your credit cards inside the bag. It has plenty of room to hold passport, camera and credit cards and cash. Very pleased with this purchase and reasonably priced too.
