Great basic unit with the approoriate features – This unit is basic and incorporates the usual features found on most common DVD players. I own two units myself and have undoubtedly had the benefit of using them while on the road traveling. Not whilist driving of course, as I would not recommend this for safety reasons. Nonetheless, I frequently use them when I do not prefer to have the large screen TV on, particularly as to avoid not being able to fall asleep. A nice unit to sit back a relax on those days you wish to elude a huge bright screen.

The sound of course can be run through most amplifiers to enable great sound quality.

Excellent – Unlike above - I don't use this in the car but rather on public transport. I find it very convenient as it's light and the battery life allows me to view 2 or more educational DVDs or movies before needing to recharge it. I had a previous Soniq unit - the screen quality was poor compared to this unit. Also the Sonic unit did not allow me to stop a DVD - switch off the unit - and restart where I had left off. The panasonic is excellent as I can stop the movie; fold up the unit... walk home with it under my arm and continue the DVD when I got home. The Soniq was ~70% the price - bought 2 years earlier, but I'm rapped it stopped working and I didn't compromise for the sake of $100 and purchased the Panasonic unit. weight; size; great battery life; 2 earphone outlets; video outlet; swivel screen allowing flat or tilted screen no remote

Good – This has been the perfect investment for use on long trips in the car, or for plane flights. Whilst the screen is the larger size, it's very light and obviously portable. I have even managed to master the changing of the DVD's whilst drivin (it is actually very easy). Great picture and sound quality and the large screen is a bonus. Initial outlay was expensive, but it has paid for itself many times over by having a happy child whilst travelling! Long lasting battery, flip top style, mounted brace to the headrest. A little more expensive (I did buy it on sale though).

OK – Handy to have, would be dissapointed if we paid full retail for it. With the limited battery life it should come standard with a 12volt plug-in adapter for car use. Don't know whether a higher capacity battery is availiable to make me happy. We won it from a camera shop. Picture size and quality is very good. Will play all day on the wall plug. Swivelling screen works very well. Volume needs to be turned up high to hear it normally. Battery life is limited, only plays up to 2 hours if lucky, and we did charge it fully before first use. Does not charge the battery when playing plugged into the wall plug.
