It's worth it! – Was reluctant to buy as it is a big purchase, but I'm glad I did. The only product that exists in this niche of being a quality micro system with dab. Only small faults are the feel of the volume dial (not segmented so feels odd) and the cheapish quality of the speakers. Those things aside this thing pumps for its size! Speaker drivers are quality. Bluetooth is great as it only connects with that input is selected. Looks the part too! Show details · 1
Nice little system to use with a PC – I purchased this in late 2019 to use with my PC. I just needed to download the drivers from Panasonic's website to get it working. It has great sound for such a small system. It is still going strong after almost four years. Show details
Great Sound Clarity with Small, Sleek Design – Product Code Model for this mini Hi Fi system is SCPMX92GNS. Good value mini Hi Fi system with small imprint and sleek design. The three way speakers provide excellent sound clarity for a small sized system that is capable of pumping out 120 watts. Doesn't sound tinny at all and can handle deep bass well for such a small system. Setup took 10… Read more · 1
minutes with zero problems which I was very happy about. Only using it for CD and USB as don't really use radio's much and have excellent radio setup on my major sound system. Purchased for a relaxation room used for writing and meditation where the small, sleek imprint adds good ambiance combined with the great sound clarity. Good value sound for just $360.00 on special. Like that it is focused on music you own via CD and USB rather than music you rent via streaming services under the control of Corporations. This avoids technical streaming problems that prove to be a headache, especially via the Corporate manipulations over time.
What would really benefit the system would be a playlist feature somehow incorporated into the USB functionality. Maybe this is possible with phone based applications via bluetooth connection to the system but will need to clarify this with Panasonic. Don't really like the phone applications as it all gets complicated and would like a simple playlist feature built into the dedicated remote control for the system. At the moment all I seem to be able to do is flick through individual tracks via the remote control. There is a continuous and I think random function but I would like to create playlists that play tracks in the sequence I like. All up though, this system serves my purposes well and very happy with it.
A good HiFi addition to my TV – With Optical Audio inputs, small but fantastic sounding speakers ~ this Bluetooth DAB+ Radio CD Micro HiFi ~ was in the right price range, the right power output, with many useful features ~ replacing the old Panasonic CD stereo system with its twin cassette, purchased new over 25 years ago, that finally died. My existing wall mounted TV Optical… Read more · 1
Audio inputs went straight in, the longer than normal FM-DAB antenna needed to be hung somewhere to keep it out of the way but entire setup was quick and very easy. With 120W total output it won't blow the windows out out of the family room but the sound quality is exceptional. On it's loudest setting, audio quality is very good. The only down side was the second rate Display* otherwise it would have got 5 stars - and to a lesser degree, the Remote design must have been created by an apprentice ~ the RADIO button is what steps you through most of the functions, not what you would call Intuitive, the VOLUME +/- rocker is too small with the adjacent MUTE button so close it can be mistakenly activated. Each speaker cable is only about a metre long so purchase an extra spool if you want the speakers spaced further apart. I programmed in my favourite 10 AM and FM radio stations within the DAB function. From (Adelaide) ABC 891, Cruise 1323, Five AA 1395, NOVA FM 91.9, Fresh FM 92.7, Mix FM 102.3, Triple M 104.7, Triple J 105.5, Hit 107, and 1079 Life, all scanned and found easily. Note - DAB sometimes present multiple sub-stations (genre) from any one station so care should be taken with programming. * My kitchen Stereo system ~ a 20W Panasonic SA-PM250 - still an available model - has a much better display but a very basic Remote. Still a neat shelf system which I forgot to review and would recommend. This Mini Stereo System has a few minor issues that could be improved but the most important aspects of build and sound quality is present and well executed. I will add to this review as I become more familiar with all its functions.
