This was good and lasted till I had no power – Great but at $2,500 on sale from $$3,250 was a bit expensive, but that's what they were at that time as a new release, but the discussion was that I could when 2 years had lapsed finally taken full advantage of the product, as he tv came out and analogue tv switched off. There was only one station which was One HD which I watched the formula One on which was awesome at the time, though when they went to a different frequency on particularly Chanel 13 I list that, the Rv company can't do that as it is free to air, I guess they tried to get me to buy another Rv, but I could not afford that at the time, and still can't, it's worse as I have taken up a liking to cigars and so the story goes on but I'll leave it there for now Thanks!
Bye
Bad – Same things to say about the 42' as the 50' review I wrote. The 50' uses 555 watts of power and this 42' uses 535watts of power. So it uses even more. Only problem I have found is that if you want all the features this plasma has in this size then Panasonic is the only company that has them. Otherwise go the LCD or Sony does make a 40" Plasma that is very energy efficient.
We brought the 42" Panasonic Plasma for the bedroom. The viera link set up is very easy and great when you want to watch a movie, one button does it all, great feature. The picture is awesome and I haven't noticed any problems. Unfortunately though I can not recommend this product, I'm not sure about all current models (and this model is discontinued) but the plasmas are power hungry beasts. This model consumes 535watts whilst in use.
Bottom line: if this T.V broke would I replace it-NO. Further more I could not recommend anyone buying one either. Sony has 40" plasmas with 5.5 out of 6 energy rating displays (Sony KDL40WE5 40" LCD TV- 122watts) they have almost the same features, once again less than half the power usage. I"m not bias towards any Manufacture, in my search for the most energy efficient plamsa the Sony was the only 5.5 star available in plasma. Personally I'm changing to two Samsung LCD's (1x bedroom, 1 x lounge- reviews to follow). Great Picture, looks great Costs way to much to run, gets very hot.
Excellent – This is my fourth flap panel TV and clearly the best one I have ever had. I researched for months and went to different shops to look at my shortlisted TVs to make sure I wouldn't risk finding a tv that had been set up better in one shop than in another. In the price bracket that I was moving in this was hands down the best one, outperformed the Sony and Pioneer in the same price range (not the Kuro) Awesome picture, beautiful piano black design Sucks a bit of power
Good – It's a luxury that I long deserve. Finally, I now have a TV that truly enlivens my viewing moments. This tv has great crisp images, surround sound, easy-to-use remote, and then some. The electric consumption is not much of an issue for me. Maximum clarity of images It's not so much of an energy saver
