Was awesome but not now? – Loved this unit. It's actually my second one in 8 years. First unit lasted 7 years before a hail storm took out the outdoor station. Bought a new WH2900 online and after 1 year the outdoor unit doesnt display the temperature, uv or light but does record rainfall? I have reset both units several times, tried 3 separate sets of NEW batteries without any luck. Please offer advice. Show details

Operates as advertised – I've had a Pantech Weather Station PT-WH2900 since 2020 and it's worked accurately all the time. I did find it difficult to link it to a phone app to get data, but connecting and reviewing data on a laptop is excellent using 'Weather Underground'. The external unit batteries lasted apx 3 yrs but I'm planning to replace them every year now. I'd buy another one !! Show details ·  4

No complaint – One of the best items I purchased from eBay. Solid material and strong single communication between the console and the accessories. Show details

Brand new, but keep loosing contact between outdoor sensor and display console – Weather station brand new, but it keeps loosing contact between outdoor sensor and display console - within minutes of setup. Have done setup and reset repeatedly, but it makes no difference. Also, there is no support to fix the problem. Very disappointing. Show details

Failed in less than 12 months and no customer service – Not the easiest to install, vague instruction manual. Rain gauge failed after about 7 months and there is no where to get customer service. Another faceless internet company. Would not recommend and will not buy again. Show details

Great weather station for home user – Purchased to replace digitech 03689 which is unreliable...this unit covers all the basic weather observations : rainfall, internal and external temp and humidity, solar irradiance, moon phase, barometer, wind speed, direction and gust etc. It is very simple to set up out of the box and the instructions are easy to follow...this is already… Read more

calibrated for Southern hemisphere so only have to point it North and it all works well...it has super Capacitance to power the unit and doesn't need rechargeable batteries though the sender station does have 2 aa batteries which need to be changed every 2 years or so. There is a 7" colour monitor, but the station has Wi-Fi and is easily connected to on line weather apps as well...i connected to "WS VIEW" out of play store (works with apple as well) and ecowitt weather..this gives you a very good dashboard on your tablet and displays very good graphs of every type of weather obs over whatever time period you want to analyse - 24hr, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly etc. All in all a very good weather station at this price point

Update 23/8/21: Have been running the station for just over a year now - have to say its the first one I have had for a while that hasn't broken down inside a year, except for sometimes the outdoor temperature stops reporting, but that has only been in winter with the sunlight not hitting the solar cell for so many hours - it has 2 x aa back up batteries that are supposed to last 2 years but have changed them out already. I have noted some of the frustrations that other reviewers have noted with Wi-Fi drop and connection issues - I have had to re-connect my unit through the weather view app (WS View) to reload the weather station through Ecowitt via my Wi-Fi - it is a bit tricky at first but once you work it out its not too bad - I have had to do this about 2-3 times in 13 months of use. Unlike some reviewers, I have found the instruction manual to be very good - its very detailed and comprehensive and has helped me a lot to understand how everything works.
