They are a SCAM company. Looks elsewhere or you will have to deal with getting a refund through your bank or credit card provider. All the 5 star reviews are from people who started their account the day they did the review.

The only reason this company got one star was you can't go any lower. This firm kept my money for almost 4 months without delivering a single item and despite cancelling the order they just kept offering discounts, lights and accessories, again, none of which actually arrived. The only way I got my money back was by lodging a dispute with PayPal.… Read more

This is a Hong Kong registered company, it doesn't have an ABN, so some Australian Consumer Protection laws don't apply. Avoid this firm like they had covid.

Extremely disappointing experience — product failed in under 3 months and Patioslife refused to honour warranty or ACL obligations. I purchased an umbrella and heavy‑duty base from Patioslife and unfortunately the experience has been far below acceptable standards. The product failed in less than three months, and the company refused to provide… Read more

any remedy under warranty or the Australian Consumer Law.

Timeline of Events Nov 2025 – Order placed Patioslife had shipping delays, but communication was polite and I waited patiently for the product.

Mid–Dec 2025 – Product finally delivered Installed exactly as described on their website. The base was filled with water, which their product page clearly lists as a valid filling option (“water or sand”).

20 Feb 2026 – Product failure On a mild, low‑wind day, the umbrella base bent and the screws tore out — even though the umbrella was closed and secured. I sent photos and a weather report.

26–28 Feb 2026 – Patioslife response Instead of acknowledging a warranty issue, they suggested I attempt DIY repairs with tools. They then asked what I filled the base with and, after I confirmed water, they blamed the failure on that — despite advertising water as an acceptable filling option.

3–5 Mar 2026 – Warranty refused I pointed out their own marketing (“water or sand”) and requested a remedy under their warranty and the ACL. Patioslife refused, citing a 45‑day return policy, which has nothing to do with warranty rights or consumer guarantees. Their final offer was a discount code for a future purchase.

6–10 Mar 2026 – Further communication (NEW UPDATE) After I reiterated my ACL rights, Patioslife acknowledged them — but then continued to offer only a partial remedy. They again suggested DIY repairs, even after I had already declined this due to safety and warranty concerns. They also stated that a replacement umbrella “would not be covered under the original warranty,” which is incorrect under Australian Consumer Law, as consumer guarantees automatically apply to any replacement product.

They also advised that the required replacement pole part is not available and that a full replacement umbrella is “not possible,” yet still refused to offer a refund as required when repairs or replacements cannot be provided within a reasonable time.

During this process, Patioslife also asked me to remove my review, despite the issues remaining unresolved.

Why This Is Unacceptable The product failed in under 3 months during normal conditions.

Their website clearly states the base can be filled with water, yet they blamed me for using water.

They suggested DIY repairs on a near‑new product.

They refused to honour their warranty or ACL obligations.

They hid behind a 45‑day return policy that does not apply to faulty goods.

Their “solution” was a discount code, which does nothing to address the defective product.

Final Thoughts The product quality and after‑sales support do not match the marketing. Patioslife shifted blame instead of taking responsibility, and their refusal to provide a remedy is inconsistent with Australian Consumer Law. I have escalated the matter to the consumer protection authorities.

I cannot recommend Patioslife based on this experience.

The gazebo came in four large cartons and they all turned up together, which was handy. The courier was actually really decent — asked if we wanted a hand getting everything inside, which you don’t always get these days. Between my dad and me we were fine, so we told him no worries, but it was still good of him to offer. The boxes were handled… Read more

properly and dropped where we asked, not just dumped at the gate.

Little things like that make a difference. It all felt well organised and easy, especially for such a big delivery.

We live near the coast and most mornings we’re outside with a coffee, just enjoying the breeze and having a yarn. We wanted something that would give us shade without blocking the air flow, so we went with the double umbrella. Before buying, we shot through a few questions and the team were really good about it. They took the time to explain the… Read more

options properly and didn’t rush us at all, which made the decision a lot easier.

Now that it’s set up, it’s exactly what we were after. We can sit out there for ages, out of the sun but still feeling that sea air. It’s quickly become our favourite spot at home.

I ordered a gazebo knowing full well that installation isn’t something you really want to tackle yourself, especially at my age. I also understood that Patioslife don’t actually offer an installation service, so when I emailed to ask if they happened to know any installers, I honestly didn’t expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did… Read more

they have recommendations, they’d clearly taken the time to put together a proper list of installers, broken down by different regions, so you can choose what suits you best. It was sent through neatly and was very easy to follow.

That extra help made a huge difference. It saved me a lot of time and stress trying to work out who to trust. It really felt like they cared about the whole experience, not just selling the product.

Got the Aegis Pro in charcoal and I’m honestly rapt with it. Looks a million bucks in the backyard – proper smart colour that goes with everything we’ve got out there, and the build feels like it’ll last heaps longer than the cheapies we’ve bought from Bunnings in the past. Covers the whole deck nicely and the tilt is dead easy – just flick it and… Read more

the shade’s right where you want it. The LED lights are the real winner at night. Soft glow, not too bright, makes everything feel a bit fancy when we’re having a few wines outside. There’s a little switch to turn them off during the day so they charge properly – smart touch. Setup was no drama – my partner and I had it up in about half an hour. Filled the base with water and it’s been rock solid so far, even when the breeze picks up. Apart from that, it’s been a ripper. Patio’s finally usable all arvo and we’re getting heaps more use out of it. For the price, it’s way better value than the Bunnings equivalents we’ve tried before. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Scammers. Ordered start December, still have not received. Kept saying in transit 2-3 weeks away, EVERYTIME when asked for update. When asked for refund kept offering different product, no mention of refund. Have now lodged claim with PayPal.

take it to a local technician for repairs as they don’t have any parts. The 5 year warranty doesn’t mean anything and they will not resolve and defects. Very Poor reviews. They have spent months attempting to get out of the warranty and now say it’s over the 45 day period for a refund on their product which can’t be repaired.

I have given this company 1 star, not because of the product, which is actually as stated and is well suited to our needs. However - the service from the company comprised of unrealistic delivery times, misdirection and confusion. Initially, as per… Read more

the advertisement, we were promised a delivery time of 3-5 days, which was great as we had my elderly father visiting. We then received notification that due to a high volume of orders, delivery would be delayed by a week or so. Ok, annoying as this could and should have been made apparent prior to receipt of money. What followed was a litany of excuses as to why delivery was further delayed, a 5% refund was supplied, which was good, but the umbrella did not arrive until AFTER my father had left. In Short. Excellent product for the money, but be prepared for a potential long wait on delivery

Follow-up  · The refund process, when we considered it, was a nightmare....deflection, avoidance and denial. assembly of the umbrella was reasonably straightforward despite the instructions being a little vague. I strongly suggest 2 people when placing the umbrella unit into the pole as it is quite unwieldy. Packaging was good and well protected for transit. No issue with that.

Absolutely disgraceful company don't what ever you do purchase anything or believe any statements that are on their advertising. They are corrupt scammers. contradicting their first excuses. They have offered gifts of string lights supposedly packaged and ready for delivery but they never arrived. They even offered a full refund surprisingly that never came either. I was very upset with them by now so I emailed them a very demanding threatening message advising them that I have filed a complaint/ dispute with PayPal and a written official complaint to the ACCC with all accompanying correspondence . Both PayPal and the ACCC have accepted my complaints and are actioning them now they have both sent me confirmation of the activity. The response from patioslife was, our latests update say your order is 2 weeks away now but we still need to process it in our warehouse, delivery should be mid April, your order has been give VIP urgency status. So it should after 4 or so months. I think they are attempting to appeas PayPal by giving the impression that they are making the effort. I Sent the a reply I don't believe a word you say. Give me our refund. Don't have anything to do with this Hong Kong based bunch of crooks.

We’ve had this Patioslife umbrella for a few months now and it’s been a great fit for our place on the Gold Coast. The design is spot on – the floating arm is the standout feature. them without tipping or any drama.

The coverage is excellent. It properly shades the whole patio table and loungers, so there’s no more shifting chairs around every half hour to stay out of the sun.

The solar lights are a really nice touch in the evenings. They give off a soft glow rather than anything bright, which suits us perfectly and makes the space feel relaxed without lighting up the whole backyard.

It’s a heavy unit, but that’s exactly what you want in a windy spot. We filled the base with water and it hasn’t moved, even on days when the breeze really picks up. The overall build feels tough and well made.

Patio’s finally usable throughout the day now without us constantly watching the wind, which has made a big difference to how much we use the space.

We’re right on the coast down in Victor Harbor and the wind can whip up out of nowhere off the Southern Ocean. After going through a few cheaper umbrellas that either tipped over or flapped themselves to bits, I was a bit sceptical when we ordered the 3m x 4m Aegis Premium in Charcoal. It arrived quickly and in good condition – one big, heavy box… Read more

that took both of us to lug out to the deck. Setup was straightforward and took about 40 minutes, mostly just being careful with the pole as it’s not lightweight. We filled the base with water (sand’s too much hassle when you’re near the beach) and it’s felt rock solid since.

We’ve had gusts around the 40 km/h mark come through and it just sways slightly rather than fighting the wind or trying to lift like the old ones did.

The coverage is spot on – it shades the whole table and loungers properly without leaving half the patio in the sun. The Charcoal colour looks great against the ocean backdrop and matches our deck furniture well. After a few months of salt air and sun, it still looks good and hasn’t faded or started to look cheap.

The crank is smooth, the tilt works easily, and the whole umbrella feels properly engineered rather than thrown together. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but for our coastal conditions it’s made the patio usable most days without us stressing about the wind.

This is after 3 week delayed replies after following up multiple times and numerous attempts for them to take accountability of the faults. Please do yourself and do not buy from this terrible business its a money trap, we have warned all our friends and family to stay away from this business as they are horrible to deal with and send you faulty products with wait times of 3 months and pretend its a one off issue. The absolute worst product and business you can ever go to so stay far far away.
