Great CPAP machine – Great CPAP machine I purchased new/used as a recall. It’s so quiet I can’t tell it’s on. Got it set up at the sleep clinic and my doctor controls the settings remotely saving me trouble and time. I used one unsuccessfully 25 years ago and I can say that the technology has greatly improved. I love this device and picked it up at a fantastic price on kijiji. I wake up rested. I have nothing negative to say about this device. Show details

Don’t buy Philips “check power” cpaps – Just keeps saying check power, checked output of power supply and it is 12v. After reading online the unit has a sensor to detect if official Philips psu. I have official products and it obviously is a sensor fault. So now I have no cpap. Capitalism at its finest. I will never buy a Philips product ever again. Show details

machine is ok, humidifier is crap – Water in humifier only last 6 hours, than I have to get up early hours of the morning to refill it. not funny especially in winter time. Give me back my previous machine, no problems with that. Please don't tell me to ring an 1800 number, going by the reviews same crap different days.

I did get a new one – I have a Philips DreamStation and have always liked the quiet running of the machine. Just to reassure those who have written here....having registered my machine last year, following the recall notice, I have finally received a new machine from Philips. This, at least, restored my faith in the company. I suggest people continue to call and write following their registration. Show details ·  1

This is an excellent CPAP Machine – I have bought this CPAP dreamStation to replace an Old model (system 1 also from Phillips). I have to say that this DreamStation is an excellent CPAP machine and far far better than I previously own. It is very quiet and I can sleep straight for 6 - 8 hours every night and my AHI is between 1 - 2 sometimes less than 1. The humidifier works really… Read more ·  1

well in compare to the older models and the heating on the Water chamber and the tube are excellent, I only set it on 3 on both. However, I fill up with demineralized water that I bought from coles. I really can't find any faults on this machine yet.

Very bad replacement machine – Hi, I have received a refurbished dreamstation go replacing mine that I bought in Sept 2020 which was working fine. I would think that it would not take over three weeks to get something done or at least a notice when I could expect the replacement. I do not sleep properly as I can hear the noise so,it is not doing its job. Please look into, this as soon as possible so that I can get the treatment I was getting with my first machine.

Atrocious rude service – Their service centres are extremely rude and treat customers with disdain. They were subjected to a legal action over their carcinogenic product which was hidden in their product. It's clear due care was absent in design. P.s. Other things they do: They sent you blank emails. When you complained their service being rude, you are accused by them to be misogynist and of DV crimes.

12V car adapter is unavailable, very bad bag design – I got a DreamStation as a replacement of revoked Dorma CPAP device. I must say that it is much worse than the old device. Biggest complaint is that 12V car adapter is unavailable. My local vendor can't get it from Philips. Philips user support is horrible. There is absolutely no way to contact them by email. The bag has a totally failed design.… Read more

The device stands vertically, so it is necessary to drain the water when carried. Bluetooth function is useless because software is not aviable for my region. Color, white - I expect it become yellow in time. I had to return my old device to Philips in order to get a new one in replacement. I don't understand why is that? I would like my old device back, or to get money return to get another device from other vendor.

Except on battery :-( – Well, I received this unit as a replacement (part of the recall) and works fine … except now running it on battery (power outage, camping etc) yields the dreaded “check power” message….. even after purchasing new 12V adapters. Philips ignoring major recall – Philips recalled their Cpap machines for major fault and health risk. Registered my machine and only 1 generic response in a year. Ring them and they can’t answer anything. Email them and they send copy paste generic response. Why is ACCC not suing these criminals? Can’t believe Philips is getting away with ignoring the issue and ignoring customers especially considering health is at risk. Absolutely criminal company.

Yesterday I received a third letter from Philips telling me this machine may kill me – I responded to the first letter I received from Philips but foolishly did not keep a record of my response. A budget machine designed only to compensate the recall of the original dreamstation – This machine has been designed with only budget and minimising costs in relation to the original dreamstation. There's no way these machines have the user/buyer in mind only to minimise loss of replacement costs from the original dreamstation. Absolute rubbish customer service – I contacted the Philips Respironics support line in January 2022 to register my recalled dream station auto CPAP. helpful and was disinterested in my issue, yet assured me that I needed to wait and that there are no time frames. I ended up calling again a couple of weeks later to get the same person only to brush me aside again. I wait another couple of months to follow up, only then to be told my product is not registered and that I needed to start the process all over again. I asked her if my previous interactions were recorded or after the process is completed would I receive some sort of confirmation; but she could confirm neither. With the lack of escalation or the ability to file a complaint, I guess I need to go here to provide some level of feedback. Absolutely shocking service. That a medical device recall service being facilitated by a third party contact centre, that has no way to either escalate or the means to at least provide some level of service to appease a customer is beyond poor. Philips being a well-known international brand, this experience has been very frustrating, to say the least.

Dangerous Fault Zero Stars – My husband was sold a Philips DreamStation CPAP machine through a sleep clinic. My husband has been using this machine for years. He has had unexplained respiratory and other… Read more

issues of late which we have now discovered could be due to the issues with the machine.

This is a very dangerous and scary situation. Philips have advised that people cease using the machine immediately but have failed to provide a refund so that an alternative machine can be purchased. These machines are used to treat sleep apnoea, a dangerous and life threatening condition. How can a person just stop using a machine when no alternative is offered!

No contact details are available to email Philips Australia regarding this matter. We have registered with Philips regarding the recall.

This matter will be reported to Fair Trading and a refund sought immediately so that a replacement machine can be purchased to ensure my husband is safe. We have completely lost faith in this brand.

Waste of money, time and sleep – Second cpap machine (first was the earlier gen from resperonics) I’ve had. I really wish there were more choices in the marketplace. The dream station has been anything but! It was noisy within a year and took it back to [name removed]. They changed settings but I could tell they weren’t too interested. It also started getting stuck on the high… Read more

setting at some point in my sleep, but wouldn’t go back to down! I’d wake up having weird dream of being in a hurricane or something. It’s done this many times now. Took it back but in spite of having data card in it, tech said that that problem wouldn’t be recorded on my machine? Now in addition to continuing those problems, it just makes different and varying noises throughout night and I have to try and sleep with a pillow over my ear. I really wish I had the old machine back. The dream station been problems almost from the first month! Sorry resperonics but you burned a lot of people with this thing.

Update as of 2020 June 12...[name removed] has changed Name to [name removed]? or something like that. During last month I was asked to bring in machine for them to assess. They apparently found the same problems that I reported, and they replaced the machine under warranty. I am very grateful for that! Unfortunately the replacement machine is another dream station but so far this one is working. I am afraid to touch it for fear it will start acting up but for now it is working. If I may resperonics, one of the problems is perhaps a marketing as well as design problem? I know the current thinking is for products to be new and added features. I don’t think that is the thinking however, for these types of products. Owners want a cpap machine to carry out its fairly simple operations w/o hassle. To be quiet and user friendly. To be durable and easy to clean. The 2 piece...dismantling design of the dream station offers no advantage to the user! It simply contributes to a loose, rattling machine and probably much of the noise? It seems, gimmicky, frankly. Resperonics generally makes products that actually appear to be medical devices, compared to others that seem kinda Bush league. I would build on that and come up with one good, solid, durable, easy to clean, easy to read and change settings design and stick with it. Improvements or updates should be minimal and only resolve actual problems and make quieter. Anyway, just a respectful opinion to try and help. I may buy next cpap machine from resperonics but I wouldn’t buy dream station again. Thank you.

I also record my stats, using a Fitbit, a Garmin watch and a oximeter, one night all my devices except the CPAP picked up a drop in my O2 to 70%, the CPAP machine didn't pick up ANYTHING at the time at which that happened, no apneas or any kind,

Return to sender! – I bought my Philips machine because it had the features I wanted. I go camping a lot and the fact that it is 12v, that the humidifier can be removed and bypassed and that it is lighter that a Resmed S10 were all major factors to my choice of a Dreamstation. strong vibration from the motor. I could not get to sleep from the noise and could hear the vibration through my pillow. It was sent back to Blooms The Chemist who promptly swapped it for another. The new one turned up and the exact same problem occurred. ( I did ask Blooms if they had accidentally returned the same unit - they assured me they had not). It was returned again to Blooms. This time Blooms asked if they could set it up themselves and send the unit back. I allowed this but it made no difference. The noise was LOUD and could be heard anywhere in the room. By now I had spent $60 sending it back three times. My wife had had enough and was sleeping on the lounge, I had a machine that I could not use or even sell. Fortunately Blooms offered to swap it for a Resmed which was fine except that they are 24v, weigh a lot and were not my first choice but in the end, I felt like I had no choice. I should say though, that I made an enquiry through a Facebook apnea support page asking if noise was common from Phillips machines. About eighteen people replied and commented that they couldn't hear a sound from their machines. One woman even commented that she had sometimes taken her mask off only to be blasted with air because it was so quite she forgot she had it turned on. I used a Resmed F20 mask which is only a few months old so not sure what went wrong.
