not bad but needs work phillips – I got the Phillips go gear 8GB one My fist impression I bit hard to use and not user friendly takes I while to get used to compared to the IPod Nono 7th Gen .Philips please have a very good look at the interface very simple to use. And I would like to see a digital radio with it The good Battery life very good No iTunes Just drag and drop

The bad

Takes a very long time to copy music from a computer to the mp3 10min for 1 GB of music

You have to use Philips Songbird software to update the firmware

Poor product which doesn't suit intended use – I chose this MP3 player as it was small and light enough to be portable, and one which enable simple drag and drop to put music files onto it. How bad could it be, right? Unfortunately in my case it's inadequate. Even when music albums and tracks are tagged and named correctly, the GoGear will only play back album tracks in alphabetical order. Whoever designed it is obviously not a music aficionado. Renaming all of my tracks to incorporate the alphabet is not a very suitable solution. I contacted the manufacturer but never heard back from them. Disappointed that I wasted my money on this junk. Portability Only plays album tracks back in alphabetical order(!), cheap build quality.

Perfect – I brought this to replace my Creative Zen V. I wanted something simple, with an LCD screen, an internal battery and a reasonable amount of memory (actually I wanted my Creative Zen V back). This fit the bill perfectly. It is easy to load, I just drag and drop files directly onto it from my computer and it charges from a USB cable. The menu system is simple and easy to navigate. Sound quality is good, but not brlliant. Mine is 4Gb, which adequately meets my needs.

It won't do everything some of the more high-end models do but if you are after something simple and easy to manage I highly recommend it. Small, LCD screen, easy to load, rechargeable internal battery Can't think of anything
