PlantCraft 250Kg Dump Cart

Great little helper around the garden – An easy to assemble and lightweight cart for the yard and garden areas. Steers and tips easily. Solid design and materials. I am very happy with the product and price.
Sturdy but poorly designed – A week ago I bought a "Plant Craft" garden "pull along" or barrow with four wheels for $119. The assembly instructions which you have to download ( annoying) are quite reasonable except for a couple of instructions relating to numbers in the diagram which were clearly wrong. The two main issues with this product are that the axle stubs have only a small section of thread for the wheel nuts (one per wheel) to be threaded onto them. The result is that the nut only just gets threaded onto the axle, and for one of the wheels, not even the whole depth of the nut. Guess what, during it's first use today, and carrying a load of dirt, that wheel came off despite me adding some Loctite to all the threads when fitting the nuts. How angry do you think I was?
The other issue is that the mounting holes for the plastic tray to be attached to underlying steel frame, do not line up and the end result is that the tray does not lock into place as it should leaving it to tip up unexpectedly.I will try to fix this by possibly elongating the holes where the bolts go through the tray to see if this allows it to lock in place. I can't see any other remedy for this problem and it may well create other issues.
I would give this product only four out of ten due to the two significant problems with it's design.
UPDATE on 25 May, 18....The seller of this product, Edisons have replaced this item free of charge after I made them aware of the problems.
I will update this review after I have assembled and tried the new one.
Well, some hours later, I assembled the replacement cart and found absolutely no problem with the axles, in fact the nuts go on fully and there is approximately 10mm of thread showing meaning they are well and truly on !
There was still some difficulty lining up the holes of the tub with the frame, but not too bad. It works !
Conclusion, this is a sturdy cart and it's unfortunate that mass production seems to be the cause of spasmodic problems. I have also bought the cheaper version, $86 (at the same time as the Plant Craft) with a green tub and yellow wheels which is no where near as good, and their instructions are a joke!
Despite possible problems, the Plant Craft is worth the extra money, trust me.
