Plustek/Silverfast combo unstable with Win 11 – Average scan results and Silverfast is unstable with Windows 11 (I have no experience with older versions of Windows). Intermittently does not proceed to scan, or fails to complete scan or preview scan. Eventually gets the job done but sometimes required reboots etc to keep things moving.

Just perfect – I had other cheap scanners, it was ok for simple film scanning. I got the opticfilm8200 as a present, so far i’m not disappointed and the Silverfast software once you get used to using it, just perfect. If anyone looking for an affordable pro film scanner, you wont be disappointed.

Excellent quality scanner for 35mm film and slides – Easy to use comes complete with slide and film trays, and Silverfast 8 software. Takes a bit of time to learn to use and to refine the scanning criteria. The inbuilt process flow gives acceptable results on negative film, but variable colour background in slides requires more attention - not the fault of the scanner. Not cheap - but I have scanned more than 5000 negatives and 50000 slides to date and still working fine.
