Powerone Hearing Aid Batteries PR48P13

Changing your hearing aid?? – I've had hearing aids for 10+years. Widex up until now. I moved 200kms to Melbourne and needed a new set. Hearing Savers have a huge range of brands. They are considerably cheaper than any other company I went to. Their service, from the first phone call to the audiologist, Michael in the Bentleigh, Victoria location. He was exceptional. Tried a number of different aids and the one he recommended in the end, is perfect for my requirements. 10/10. Highly recommended.
Purchased in for $6,490.
Powerone Rechargeable Hit 'N' Miss Batteries – I have been wearing hearing aids for more than 9 years and recently thought I would try to "help save the planet" by using rechargeable (312) batteries with my Costco Kirkland Signature 9 hearing aids. After charging the batteries overnight, I inserted them into the hearing aids and instead of instantly sounding the "Power On" chirm, I sometimes have to wait more than 1 minute or they do not power up at all so I sometimes have to open and close the battery door several times (and sometimes rub the battery (???) before I hear the "Power On" chirm. Once working, I sometimes randomly hear the hearing aid power on again (I do not know why it does this because it then continues to work for between 2-5 more hours). The batteries last no more than 6.5 hours and since they are NiMH, I expect this duration to diminish with use. I have to change the batteries (for another set of rechargeable 312 batteries) during the day to get the hearing aids to work during the afternoon and evening. It is frustrating having to change the batteries twice a day. The stated number of uses per battery is 100+ times so you can do the maths to determine the comparison price using disposable batteries taking into account the rechargeable batteries need to be charged twice each day for a full day's use. The Powerone charger works fine (but some other reviewers are concerned about the flimsy power lead used for this expensive charger). Overall, I do not know how much longer I will have the patience to open and close the battery door to get the hearing aids to work with the fully charged batteries and then change and charge the rechargeable batteries twice each day to help save the planet before I get so frustrated that I revert back to using disposable 312 batteries. PS: I appreciate Powerone (Varta) sending out 2 packets of replacement rechargeable batteries (with an expiry of 2021?) when I complained that 1 of the rechargeable batteries I bought (with an expiry date of 2022) would not power up a hearing aid at all.
Purchased in at Amazon USA for $50.
Very varied quality – I purchased 60 powerone P13 hearing aid batteries from eBay, but am very disappointed with their lasting qualities. They have considerable differences in lasting, a few will last up to 6 days, but many I've had to replace in less than two days. I've made my concerns to the eBay seller, but to date have had no reply. My thoughts are that some are used and have been recharged and repackaged, something that I've heard from time to time, and the varied lasting time appears to confirm this. I have used a number of different makes and without exception they've operated for 8 - 10 days. These powerone batteries are a waste of money, at least when purchased on eBay
