Primo Scrambles Super Cheesy Leg Ham
14 reviews
Crappy food – Tastes like crap and too pricey. For what you get. The worst thing that Primo has ever made.
Absolute expensive rubbish – 40gm of cheese and chopped ham and a throw away plastic container for $4. Wish I had read the reviews before I bought it. Oh and use your own egg lol Show details
Oh my, where do I start – If I could give no stars I would. All you get is a small spoon size amount of bacon and a pinch of shredded cheese in a cup. That’s it. You add your own egg and a bit of milk and microwave in for 1 minute and you end up with 2 spoons of tasteless rubbish. Also nowhere on this container does it state it has to be refrigerated. Could possibly end up with food poisoning after eating this item. Don’t waste your money. Show details
Not worth the $4.00 ask – 1 Tbspn shredded cheese + 1 Tbspn shredded ham. That's it!= $4.00!! Add your own egg & milk(!!) I should've read the fine print. Now I must must add add more more words words.... Show details
Don’t be conned by this rubbish product – Bought this after seeing an ad on tv. As others have said, this is a total con. I want my money back. Do this instead- microwave container, spoonful of ham and cheese and an egg or two. Mix, microwave for a minute, stir, another minute in microwave. Done. Better than this Primo rubbish. Show details
scam I paid over $5 for a stuff all ham and stuff all cheese and I supply the egg! I will never buy again – I got barely half of cup when add clearly showed a full cup I will not recommend to anybody Barely got half a cup when add showed a full cup False advertisement Show details
Overpriced and Poor Quality End Product - Avoid! – This product amounts to nothing more than a plastic(!) cup with a tablespoon each of manufactured ham, and grated cheddar cheese, and requires the consumer to supply their own 55 cent egg! The advertising image shows the finished product above the rim of the cup, but in actuality, when heated, it barely reaches halfway up the cup. At the… Read more
equivalent of $106 per kilogram, the pricing is ludicrously excessive. (I paid $4.25 for the 40g product). I would not recommend Primo "Scrambles" to anybody, even were it free. It's a total ripoff. 1/10 from me.
Unbelievably expensive – OK, so I bought it once for the novelty. Basically, you are paying $100 per kilo for a spoonful of ham and cheese. You provide the egg and the microwave. Could have made it from scratch for less than one quarter of the price, including BYO egg. Never again! Show details
Absolute scam – Can't believe how this is advertised. There is nothing in the packet except a few tablespoons of cheese and ham. It's called scrambled but you have to supply the egg! Also on the ad it has a full cup, in real life less than half a cup with the egg you supply. It is a total scam don't buy. Show details
Why?? – This is such a bizarre product. You pay 4$ for a small amount of bacon and cheese (40g or so) then byo egg and microwave. You could prepare the same thing in a bowl and not use a piece of single use plastic for about 1/4 the price. Show details
why does this product exist? – if you feel the need to pay $4 for 40g * (which equates to $100 kg) for cut ham and cheese then go for it. Oh.. you still have to buy eggs separately. Show details
Overpriced and bland – Was charged $4 for a tub that contained about half a slice of deli ham chopped up and a dessertspoon of cheese. Added 2 eggs because 1 wouldn't feed my 2yr old. Could have just as easily made my own micro scrambled eggs from similar ingredients for a quarter the price. A gimmick I won't be buying again! Show details
Odd and misguided egg product from a smallgoods company – I tried this product out of curiosity. It tasted like the breakfast served in economy class on the aeroplane-- only it was one-third or one-quarter of the serving size. They charge $4 for 45 grams of additive in a 450ml container ($3 on special). It s a scrambled egg breakfast product but get this YOU HAVE TO ADD YOUR OWN EGG!!!! This product is… Read more
simply so ludicrously ill-conceived, I can't believe it was brought to market. In order to cook this product, a consumer needs to have already bought eggs at the cost of $3 to $5 (available in quantities of six or twelve etc). They also need to have access to a microwave. They need to feel satisfied that the product adds three or four dollars worth of value to the 40c hen's egg that it is based on and that they have to provide themselves. It doesn't. It's extra insulting that it comes in a wastefully large container that is made of non-recyclable plastic. The container is almost half a litre in size but when you stir in your own egg and microwave it, the final breakfast meal is not even 100ml in volume. It baffles me why a respected and popular smallgoods brand would link its name and reputation to hens' eggs and name a product after an egg dish ('Scrambles') when Primo is a company that doesn't sell eggs or egg products, has no expertise in the field and doesn't include any actual egg content in its product. Nobody will buy this. It has obviously had a lot of money spent on its launch. Why? There's no way that this could possibly have been market-tested. The product development and product marketing arms of Primo have simply failed. The Primo company needs to reassess its systems and procedures of bringing new products to market. Every cent spent on developing, manufacturing, promoting and advertising this product was thrown away. Any consumer plucked off the street could tell Primo that this product is a failure.
Great idea but no – 40g in a tub. Open it up and what is there but the tiniest amount of mozzarella and a few chunks of cut up bacon. You then have to add your own egg to make the breakfast. When it is cooked there is hardly enough to make you feel full....container was not even up the halfway even with the egg added from your own fridge. At $4.00 it is wayyyyyy… Read more
tooooo expensive for what it was. You can do it yourself it a few seconds with a cup and just a microwave needed. Tasty but like i stated you get the same by doing it yourself. Very disappointed with the price and amount sizewise of the ingredients.
