Puretec Water filter price trap – We selected the Quick twist water filter at design stage for our home and were assured that we would be given preferential good pricing when we needed consumable filters. Horse paddock! The unit complete with filter and fitted was $200.00 roughly. The replacement filter when I contacted the supplier 1 year later is $120.00! I double checked our status as we had purchased our entire home through Routleys.

That was correct and it was just the filter! Not the whole device.

I suggest when you look at bunnings and select a standard size filter cartridge to 0.5 micron not the 1 micron of the Puretec.

Rip out the puretec and fit a universal filter housing and it will pay in a year.

Even with a plumber installing it!
