Qpix DFC-1400 Questions & Answers
I have a Qpix, but can't see a model # anywhere. I've tried many times to get the resultant prints the right way up, without success. I've put all the slides in the carriage upside-down as they say. Some come out the right way up, some don't, and sometimes I get a photo of the end of the carriage. I turned them around the other way, and had the same problem. I've deleted the photos from the USB, unplugged everything and tried again. No different. What am I doing wrong? Please help.
Have just started using Pix MDFC 1400. Copied a few slides and transferred to computer, however it is now showing an error message and won't do anything. Have tried powering off and on. What should I do?
After looking at the comments below I realised that I had filled up the memory. Once emptied it worked OK. I took out the SD card and now cant see how to save to it??
Hi, My photos are coming out with the scanning mechanism visible all around the perimeter of every photo. I'm scanning 4x6 photos and am using the correct corner piece for this size. How do I fix this problem? Thank you!
I purchased a QPIC MDFC -1400 digital today. 3/11/2022.The user's manual left me flounding. I am using slides only to change to digical on a SD card and from there is my computer / TV. All I wish to understand is how to put the bits together to achieve this. Kevin Fitzgerald. Perth. HELP!
When I try to scan slides a triangle with an expiration mark appears. Help I have successfully completed this task previously but I sm having trouble now.
I actually sent mine back as I lost a couple of photos in it and there was no way to get them out. I wouldn’t recommend this scanner. I’m sorry but have no idea on how to remedy your problem. Good luck
What does it mean when a yellow triangle with an exclamation mare appears in the viewing window while viewing a slide?
It means the internal memory is full. You must delete the folder AND THEN empty the trash while the device is still plugged into your computer. I bought the CBS1400 multi function combo scanner from Officeworks 5 days ago and have probably scanned about 1500 mounted slides and it's working really well so far.
After scanning the negative, the colour is so far from the original. It’s either too red or too yellow. No matter how I manually adjust the colour filters it does not bring it any closer to the original. Any ideas?
I used my CBS1400 multi-function combo scanner some time ago . I used the internal memory for lots of photos how do I now retrieve them? When I turn it on it just reverts to the standard pictures not taken by me.
How to show slide image on top screen
I have just scanner more than 2,000 negatives of various sizes successfully. These have been converted to digital and also appear as positive images. I now want to do the same with a similar number of slides, which are positive already. However, when I try to do this, the image which comes up on the screen is negative. How can I change it back to positive, please?
I'm sorry but I can't answer this as I had sooo much trouble with this scanner that returned it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. No service etc so hard to get any advice
I'm sorry you have had trouble with your scanner. Mine is working well and I have resolved the negative/positive issues via YouTube, but not for the QPIX scanner -the clip is in Russian - but on the Wolvine clip at the side. So, I can now get on. Would agree that the instruction booklet is hopeless with some odd phraseology which I assumed was due to a translation, but then realised it is an Australian product!!
I just bought this QPix CBS1400 machine to scan slides and negatives. I can get the slide to show in the screen OK but when it saves to the machine, I don't know how to get it to the computer. The computer is Windows 10 and I cannot get it to recognise even the CD which came in the box with the scanner. The machine wont recognise two SD cards I have here. One is SD High speed 60x 512 mg and the other is 128 also high speed. (I am remote so cannot race out to a shop and buy new SD cards easily). I have no idea how to save to a USB stick as I only have one port on the machine and that is used to power the machine. I would very much appreciate help.. Thank you.
I think that an SD is the only way to save.
I purchased this machine and it is the worst thing I have bought in a long time. It is useless.
I do hope you can get this to work for you - good luck . Sorry I couldn't help
Its easy. After you save, press mode button to bring up the options menu. Press the left arrow button until the USB option and enter. It then brings what you have scanned on your pc to select which you want to import and select which folder you want to save to.
I bought mine a year ago and wasnt impressed at first, but this week had another go with slides from 1982 and 1997 and cant believe how good the resolution is. The colour of the slides has definately changed over time, but the scans are pretty dam good. Have set on 22mp resolution. Havent touched the colour settings. I have windows 10 on a HP pavillion all in one.
You're a genius - thank you:)
I have got this scanner as a gift when visiting Australia in October 2013. Unfortunately I did not receive the relevant disk. The user's manual is difficult to follow, especially with regard to setting exposure compensation. Can I get the disk in South Africa or can I obtain a more detailed manual somewhere here? Please help?
Regards
Johan Kok
There is NO disk for this product. You use it as a standalone scanner, with the resulting files either on SD card OR pulled from the inbuilt 128M memory via USB using Windows Exploder or similar.
Thanx Pedro
