False alarms – Had 2 of these alarms now - both cause false alarms in the middle of the night.
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $15.
Rubbish – They keep going off at night with no smoke present. The hush button never works. So many times in the middle of the night like last night I have to get a chair, get up, half asleep and pull them off the wall and pull the battery out so it stops alarming. The only good thing about this product is that the alarm is very loud.
Useless – I've actually got a Quell 1300 from Mitre 10 but never mind. When you burn the toast and it goes off there is supposed to be a hush button but it doesn't work. So the alarm just keeps going...forever. The only way to shut the thing up is by bashing it with a broom until it falls off the ceiling. Waste of money, don't bother.
Purchased in at Mitre 10 for $50.
Recommend looking for an alternative – Purchased this smoke alarm in late 2021 to replace a previous of same model, both models started setting off false alarms & unfortunately forced to turn off to stop alarm. Once tuned off they can no longer be turned back on. Definitely not happy with this product
