Key purpose is now subscription based – I purchased RainMachine as it offered all features without any additional subscriptions. But greed kicked in recently and now I can no longer use RainMachine with purchasing monthly subscription. What a ripoff and shady mentality behind this business.
Do not trust this company! – I bought a new (expensive) Rainmachine 2 years ago, as I had to upgrade to get a lousy 10 m WiFi range (see my previous review). They advertised remote access, just what I needed. However they disabled this function (firmware update) and now charge $30 p.a. for this! Do I feel ripped off? Absolutely !
