I purchased a spotsprayer 60L 12V unit, initially very pleased, easy to install on quad also dismount, happy with the quality of everything until I turned it on and noted a leak from the wand. I spent hours trying to track down the problem. The leak… Read more ·  3

got worse and was a steady stream in the end, a waste of chemicals and money. I eventually pulled it apart and found an O ring missing, after some tooing and frowing with Rapidspray it was replaced (complete new wand). Worked well for a few minutes with a slight leak, but after 3 tankfuls it was leaking worse than the original. I continued its use as we had some rain and lots of the weeds that I'm trying to eradicate came up. I had to continually turn the pump off between squirts - however it burnt out the motor due to excess recycling I guess, bought replacement, the leak worsened. I wanted to knock the weeds over before they set seed and looked around for an alternative. Bought a 'dripless' version, reluctantly as I didn't trust Rapidspray by now. I've just used it with the 1st tankful, marvelous, a top unit when it works. BUT, it cost me many wasted hours, wasted chemicals, a new pump and a new wand (over $200) NOT HAPPY. My question is, to the bosses, 'How can you get away with marketing such garbage?' Unconscionable behaviour, yet there are good points and I will be very happy with the unit if it doesn't leak or otherwise blow up after a few uses. Management has acknowledged there have been problems and rectified same - so why was I sent the same dud wand as a replacement? A refund for my additional costs would be a nice gesture. If it works well and lasts, I would happily rate it a 5 star unit.

Follow-up  · 'New wand, good quality, sturdy, happy with it, it doesn't leak - marketed as 'dripless', costs a fair bit more than the one sold as part of the rapid spray spot sprayer. Replacement process? Not sure what is meant here - if you mean fitting it to the spot sprayer - relatively easy, only a screwdriver required to undo hose clamps and transfer… Read more

Misrepresenting stock and poor communications – I'm not impressed with my experience at Rapid Spray. I exchanged emails and spoke to their sales department, confirming all items required were in stock (the sprayer, two spare charges and two spare batteries). After making full payment for the items, I received a receipt, with the two spare charges and batteries changing from "in stock" to "to be… Read more

built". I specifically mentioned that this piece of equipment was intended to be used on a job the following week, hence my confirmation regarding their on-hand stock. The two spare batteries and charges didn't arrive until several weeks later. Furthermore, upon opening the push sprayer box and beginning to assemble the kit, I noticed one of the wires on the pump had been pinched, with the wire being partially exposed. The pump and wires are pre-installed so this was an error during the manufacturing process. While RapidSpray didn't reject my request for the item to be replaced, they did miss the agreed upon date for their courier to pickup the faulty item, a date which I ensured a household would be home to handover the box. Throughout this entire process, there were no apologies given or acknowledgements of the inconveniences caused, and I had to consistently chase things up to receive updates. I spent $1700~ on this piece of equipment and have no use for it now (all items are still sitting in their original packaging). Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere if you need rapid or reliable service.

Bad experience with Rapidmix sprayer – I bought a RApidmix 95l trolley with 2m spray boom. I thought this is exactly what I've been looking for - a combined spot and boom sprayer with separate chemical dosing tanks so no draining the big tank of water every spray. I bought an extra tank for the chemicals. Well $1700 later and I am extremely unhappy - first of all the spot sprayer… Read more

didn't work - result of a faulty one-way valve in the tank (leaked air). Replaced under warranty after weeks waiting. Sprayed and seemed to be fine. The idea being the tank is full of water and you change the chemical tank as required. So I left the sprayer in the shed and next week all the chemical had flowed into the main tank - a call to Rapidspray and the comment - "there seems to be an issue with our one-way valve" (d'oh!) and the work around is to disconnect the chemical tank. Not good enough. The one way valve should work as promised. The whole system is based on separate chemical tank. So to use it as a simple tank sprayer it is pretty bad - the draining plug is awkward and very small. The pickup leaves around 20l in the tank. Sure I could fix that but a $1700 sprayer should work (we all know Selecta ones do).

Perfect for my 1 acre block – I got the 95L Spot Ranger which is one of the 12v spot sprayer models they make locally. they do have a range of imported products but I always go the Aussie made option where possible... im happy I did this time - its been 100% reliable for a few years now (apart from a bent lance due to my brother letting it jump off the mower and then running over it). with the added mower trailer kit its perfect for a 1-2 acre block Show details

Poor equipment sourced from China but claims of Australia manufactured – Buyer beware, as always, when buying equipment, I searched for something not made in a country where authoritarian rule suppresses peoples freedom, read China Russia for a start, so was thrilled to find "RAPIDSPRAY",a company claiming Australian manufactured spray tanks. So I purchased their "RAPID MIX SPOT SPRAYER". On assembly, I found the pump… Read more

labelled MADE IN CHINA, further inspection failed to show any other made in labels so I contacted the company. Finally they admitted the entire product, tank and all, was made in CHINA! Unsurprisingly, I found the unit near impossible to prime and then, when I finally got it going, noticed after an hours spraying and 2/3's of the water used, no chemical had been drawn through to mix into the spray. Needless to say, the unit is being returned and replaced with a sprayer from a company that doesn't support CHINA and , hopefully, works.
