Razer Synapse 4

I was engrossed in American Truck Simulator this morning. Quite suddenly, Razer decided to update its software, in the middle of my game. It then proceeded to install a bunch of software that i didn't want, let alone use. When it had finally finished, most of the keys I use in the game had stopped working. This is not the first time razer had screwed things up. Luckily, I have an app which uninstalls virus software such as this. As it was being uninstalled, razer continually tried to reinstall itself. If that is not a warning, I don't know what is. It has now been totally removed and I suggest that if you are thinking of buying a razer product, think again. I will stick with corsair from now on. Be aware that if you have a razer keyboard, it won't function unless you install the software.
Follow-up · They installed a Razer Synapse update and two other programs I didn't ask for. I cannot remember the names but they were installed without asking me. When I originally purchased the keyboard and mouse, the keyboard would not function unless Razer synapse was installed. I was asked at the time if I wanted the extra programs that came with synapse. I clicked NO but they were installed anyway. I like Corsair because their software is optional, the keyboard and mouse work very well and I don't have any problems at all. After I uninstalled the Razer software I was able to set up my keys in the game on my corsair keyboard without drama. It was of great concern that Razer kept trying to reinstall itself while I was uninstalling it. I am left with an expensive Razer keyboard and mouse that I cannot use.
