I booked 2x adult tickets and 1x child ticket to Taronga Zoo. Booked in a date and time and received confirmation of booking. emabarssing as it held up other familles. Taronga staff were not at fault it was red balloon. I wouldn’t recommend booking on the day but to do it a few days ahead. It did ruin the experience for the kids and I would book directly with merchant next time to save hassle and headache. Other than that we had a really good day.

Booked the Bottomless Brunch Afloat experience through Red Balloon. Booking on their site was very easy. The site is easy to use and find activities close to you. I am a bit disappointed as I had already purchased previously and when I went to book the session in I found out closed at that location I was given a voucher code to use but then it cost me more to book at another location. Show reply

RedBalloon is a RIP OFF as people buy these vouchers as a gift and then the people that recieve them try to redeem it find it's all on availability, try book a hotel room no cant get one unless booked way in advance, try to go for a nice meal and wine no sorry must book in advance , try to do other activities no sorry booked out that day. believe RedBalloon would make a lot of money from this as I've taken nearly 4 hours today with many different ones on their chat system to try sort mine out, and now I have three different codes yes not 1 for the original $300 I have one for $41 one for $20 one for $239 . As i was told by the chat person they had a room at one hotel so I redeemed once again and then 5 min later got a email saying pick another date :( ....um no i needed that date hence why the person in chat rang hotel first. I feel this is a big fault of Redballoon as they shouldn't tell us one thing then only to find out later its wrong. ANYWAY I wont be using these ever again I would prefer a prepaid Visa you can load money on and they can spend it wherever they want and get the experience cheaper too. ITS A BIG AVOID AT ALL COSTS FROM ME!!!

to ensure we could secure a seat on such short notice. The service did not dissapoint despite the restaurant being fully booked! We shared a garlic bread to start, enjoyed calamari and pork belly bites for entrees, followed by a steak and ribs for main with chips and mash then finished off with a creme brulee and a chocolate fondant for desert. The wait staff even put a sparkler and candle on the plate of the desert with a 'congratulations' message written in chocolate on the side. It was a very special dinner experience, the food was fantastic and we were very full when we left! The wine was a cab sav from South Australia which was a perfect accompaniment to all of the food enjoyed on the evening. The decor inside the restaurant was carefully curated and it really made us feel like we were dining in the savanah. I would definately recommend dining at this restaurant, and the fact that the red balloon voucher covered the entire bill made the experience even better!

this was a very tricky process to manage. we pre-purchased an experience but when we arrived at the experience there was no list of the purchase. we redeemed the purchase again, at the location, and it finally worked. the staff were very patient and said this is what always happens when their experience is booked through red balloon. It took us 20 minutes to sort it out and the technical hoops were embarrassing and time consuming.
