The firelighters are excellent. The other reviewers apparently did not read the instructions that say you need to **pierce the foil film with a knife** prior to opening the firelighter. Once the firelighter is lit, it is a strong, wind resistant flame that lasts plenty of time.

Useless – Tried to light Weber kettle. Used a whole pack of fire lighters. Not one coal got hot. Don’t buy these. Some of the cheaper brands are far superior. First and last time using this brand.

Just won't light – Not sure if the ingredients have been changed in these, but they simply will not ignite. Used a dozen matches trying, even opened another box with same result. Won't be buying this brand again

New Fireproof Firelighters – The redhead firefighters have been our favourite for years. Used to be able to light them all with a quick tough and only using one match. I don’t know what they’ve done but now I can’t light them and when they do light it’s a small flame that threatens to go out. I through out one whole 64 packet thinking they were a faulty pit, but have purchased another 64 and same thing. Won’t be buying them again!

So disappointed – I'm coming up to retirement and this is the worse product on the market if you are elderly. Almost impossible to open. I will never buy again. They are just about impossible to give away. They dont even come with a knife.

Fireproof – Before we even get to how hard they are to light I struggled to get then out of the stupid pop out plastic blister. Safety has gotten so over the top these days that redheads must've decided to created fireproof firelighters. As a plus they do light when you pour petrol on them.

Redheads have changed packaging. I won’t buy them again – Redheads have changed the packaging of fire lighters It is almost impossible to open each one, had to use very sharp knife and brute strength. Very tightly packed into thick plastic. I won’t buy again.

DO NOT BUY – This product is packaged for the convenience of the manufacturer, NOT THE CONSUMER. The product is a waste of money. The plastic bubble wrap ensures that you will pulverise the blocks of fuel into useless pieces just getting it out of its packaging. This renders the product useless and a waste of money. Redhead has been a household name for… Read more

years, but now I have been "burned" I won't buy this product ever. Not worth any stars because it is a waste of money.
