Redpepper Waterproof Case Rugged Bumper for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G Questions & Answers
I purchased the redpepper s23 case, when it is underwater it won't let me take photos. It cost me $99 from a mobile phone shop
Hi Lee, the S22 phone is waterproof, the case not so much. I suspect that the same applies to the S23. If there is a problem taking photographs underwater then perhaps there is a phone setting that could be adjusted for better underwater photography.
That's about all the helpful advice I can offer because I don't think we are talking about the same case, if your case cost just short of $100, as mine cost nowhere near that price point.
The S23 has a spectacular camera, if the case is the same then I'd even suggest using a big drill bit to remove the case's plastic over the camera lenses as the case plastic will deliver a vastly inferior resolution performance to the high quality lenses of the phone. I suggest this action because of the price I paid being so inexpensive, which raises up the point again that I don't think we can be discussing the same case as there is such a vast price difference.
ONE LAST THOUGHT WHICH I THINK WILL ADDRESS THE PROBLEM EXACTLY, the S23 uses an onscreen button to take the photo, it might be that the cases plastic screen sensitivity is impaired by the water. In my review I mentioned that I cut away the cases screen because of this exact problem. So my solution is to do the same, just leave the back & edge protected, trusting in the screens native resilience and your own level of owners care.
Sorry I can't be more helpful Paul
