I did buy the mens leather thongs but have stopped buying them as they constantly brake where your big toe fits to keep the thongs on .Very poor quality once they are not produced in Australia any longer garbage bad quality.

I have worn reef sandals for years with 6-8 different ones at anytime. Their product quality has dropped significantly, particularly the sandals. They are now smaller and the materials are not made to last. So disappointed!

I ordered a pair of Oasis Adapt on 5/20/26. I wore the sandals for one day and the sandals injured my feet. I took pictures of the injuries and sent them an email on 6/16/26 (within their 30 day return policy) that I want to return the sandals. The representative refused to accept a return citing an illegal corporate policy that if the footwear is… Read more

worn it cannot be returned. The sandals are clearly defective. I have never been injured by any other footwear, including other Reef sandals.

If I could give reef 0 stars it would be appropriate. I purchased 2 pairs of men’s slides on March 15 2025. Less than a months wear the slides became unattached both sides. Reef customer service asked for pictures 3 times and denied they could see any damage. I saw the pictures he sent and to me it was clear both sides of it are unattached.… Read more

Customer service gaslighting and lies about not seeing damage in less than one month of purchase was frustrating. It may have been a manufacturers defect but Reef doesn’t back up their sales. The dishonesty is abhorrent. Reef wanted the receipt so save any email receipts. Luckily I purchased with Visa so I will try to get a resolution through visa because Reef customer service only gaslights as they have you jumping through hoops. Reef claimed they needed a receipt yet they obviously have my information because I get constant email looking for more sales from me. The one good thing that came out of this is now I save all email receipts even for low cost items. Buyer beware. ONE month the slide came apart. I read return policy and in order to return shoes they say within two weeks and unworn. Soooo I guess eventually they would have given that excuse. Quality of the shoes they have can’t be determined until you actually wear them and they fall apart. I will never trust Reef or any Reef affiliated companies again. It’s like flushing money down the toilet has been our experience and offensive treatment by customer services runaround they gave us.

Total crap! Second pair has developed same issue of sole separating from top of sandal. The glue we have in our kitchen drawer must be better than what Reef uses

Extremely comfortable thongs, but toe strap broke within 8 months! This has happened on 2 occasions. The fact that their warranty is only for 6 months says a lot about quality.

Reef Flip Flops with bottle opener fall apart – I bought a pair of Reef Flip Flops with the bottle opener, thought they were cool. They quickly fell apart. I asked for a replacement the company will not stand behind their product stating they need a receipt. Who in the world keeps a receipt of the flip flops they bought at the beach. Disappointing given the price. $60.00+. I recommend Olukai they look great fantastic quality!

I've owned 3 pair of Reef Sandals of the years. The first 2 pair were amazing, after a short break-in period both lasted more than 5 years. Back in January I bought another pair and made the mistake of letting them dry in the sun like I've done with… Read more

all previous pairs. Now they are curled up like tacos and unwearable. Not sure how you can make footwear designed for the beach that cannot be worn on the beach, but I digress. After multiple attempts to get ahold of customer service I was told that I mishandled them and no warranty will be issued. Pretty comical that wearing a summer shoe in the summer is considered mishandling them if you ask me. Like everything, these high quality $80 flip-flops are now just cheap Chinese crap. Do not buy them. I've had better customer service experiences from Walmart.

Follow-up  · Nothing has changed. Customer service is like dealing with a warranty from H&K and will only be answered once every two fiscal years.

Beautiful – Love them, all shoes will go bad after time, thats how it is. Ive got 4 pair of different shoes for myself and 10 pairs of different shoes for my family, we love them thank you very much. I got a order that they forgot to give me the right amount of shoes and then they fixed that up straight away, thank you.

Reef santa anna flip flops are great – The fit and comfort are great. I bought my first pair in Hawaii and was able to wear them all day the next day. Perfectly comfortable. Sturdy. Liked them so much I bought 4 more pairs. Can wear them on a sandy beach all day no problem. Fabulous colors. Wear a different color depending on what I'm wearing. Reasonably priced too

At first blisters, then super comfortable ! – Purchased the Reef cushion Phantom thongs (sandals) At first, gave me blisters and I initially regretted the purchase. Also they're heavier weight than usual sandals. However, after adjustments, they've now become very comfortable ! I like them ! The cushioning works very well and can easily walk short to medium distances.

Poor service and poor quality shoes. So uncomfortable to wear and hurt my feet so badly that they bruised! My attempt to contact customer service was useless. Such a shame, I thought this was supposed to be a good company??

Horrible customer service. My sandals were delivered to the wrong address (no fault of mine) and Reef won't send another pair. Customer service is what keeps you in business and I hope that this company reaps everything they deserve and then some by not providing good customer service to customers when the error is not the customers fault. Sandler are so slippery and hard to put on. it doesn't matter what type of surface, they slide when you put your foot in. Reaching out to customer service doesn't help because they don't care. I bought more than a dozen sandles from reef and I'll never buy another one because the company doesn't care what a waste of money.

Save your money, buy something else! – Brought these Sandles as my Birkenstocks died, and a friend said these were good. So I have a look online, buy these they turn up within the week. I buy a 7, I never deviate from a 7, these are super small, my friend is a 5 and they barely fitted her. So I email customer service and ask if these can be returned to an actual store because I want… Read more

to swap them over and try them on based on how much of a discrepancy there is in sizes? No. They needed to be returned online. So guess what I haven’t done? Returned them. I persisted; hoping they’d stretch? They did not. So now they sit outside in the shoe box barely worn gathering dust, costing me $80 from memory, and I’m still peeved about wasting my money.

Review: * Sole seems ok and comfortable enough. * Straps are super tight * product seems ok quality

Suggestion: Buy up a size, maybe 2.

I’m just salty because if something is a size 7 it should be a size 7. The moral of the story is? I should have just stuck to the Birks!

Would I buy them again? No.

No warranty after falling apart 1 week after purchase – My wife’s thongs started to deteriorate after 1 week of use, reef customer service was rude and basically called my wife a liar and claimed she caused the damage to the shoes, customer representative wouldn’t give their name.

Customer service negative! – Extremely unsatisfied. I ordered a pair of red sandals on Black Friday to get her for my son in laws birthday. It was a brown leather sandal in size 12. The sent me a white woman’s sandal in size 7. I went to exchange them and instead of sending me the right sandal they only credited my card. Then when I called they could not send me the right shoe because they didn’t have it.

Call the cops – I will echo other reviews and say they have terrible customer service. I ordered a pair of sandals to be delivered. The courier left the package in the lobby of my building without notifying me and sure enough the package was stolen. Reefs response was too bad call the police.

Horrible customer service and products – Purchased 2 pairs of rubber Reef flip-flops same model different colors. 1 pair broke at the toe connection within 6 months of light ware and then the second pair broke in the same spot after the second time I put them on. Emailed customer service and they were useless-- said I had to have original receipt-- now who saves receipts of rubber… Read more

flip-flops?? I have had pairs for years and never broke. Basically they said they would give me a "15% discount on a new pair for my inconvenience" well, that is insulting!! Obviously there was a problem with the quality of the product since both broke same spot. Daniel was the "customer service agent" who handled my complaint. He didn't even get my name correct after bringing it to his attention. Terrible product and company will not stand by the product. Dont spend the ridiculous price for brand name-- not worth it!!!!!!

Stay away. There are other much better products out there – I’ve had these reef flips flops for less than 9 months. I wear mine everywhere. REEF won’t replace because they shrunk and curled after getting wet and drying in the sun. So what are flip flops for? I guess only use reef products in your house. Never again.

Poorly designed shoes for real arch support and terrible return service – Poorly designed shoes for real arch support and terrible return service. I have plantar fasciitis and am very cautious about online shoe buying. Got sucked into the beautiful shoe designs, but the actual support is NOT THERE. And trying to return the shoes have been a nightmare. Shame on you, Reef!

Nice sandal before they fall apart – I’ve had 2 pairs of Reef sandals and both broke. First pair had the strap between the toes pull through and the second pair delaminated the bottom rubber layers. Both times it was outside the 1 year warranty so all they would offer is a 10% off coupon. I would expect $60 sandals to last more than a couple of years when I only use them a couple months out of a year.

Quality decline – I have been wearing black reef flip flops for at least 20 years. They fit great for my "square" toes, and I wore each pair until I wore out the rubber cushioning. During the past several summers however, I have blown out one or more of the straps on every pair I have bought inside of a couple of months! I just put on my latest pair and the sole is hard as a board. I won't buy this brand anymore. I am so disappointed!

Blisters from woman's sandle – Purchased the two strap cream coloured slide for my daughter for Christmas. They cut into the side of her feet and gave her blisters after only wearing for a short time. Thought I would try them myself, and they did the same to my feet.

Reef cushion thongs – On the plus side very comfy and seem sturdy. On the negative side, they developed really bad odour. Note: none of my other shoes smell, so it's not me! I have washed them, sunned them, all to no avail. Then I froze them as per suggestions in chat forums and it actually seems to have worked! Excellent customer service and a great product – I’ve purchased probably about 4-5 pairs of reef thongs now, I have quite a high instep and their arch support is second to none whilst still being rather stylish. Recently I purchased a new pair as I lost one thong on a Cruise Ship (long story!) anyway, not two weeks after I bought the new pair my 6 month old pup got a hold of them, and did what… Read more

pups do best. Anyway, I was back to having one thong. I thought I’d write an email explaining my situation in the hopes of purchasing a singular replacement thong, well the response I received was phenomenal, I was told that they don’t sell singular thongs, but had a pair of thongs the exact same they would send me and asked for my address. I hadn’t heard anything back after very quick responses for a day or so I thought not to worry and would eventually buy another pair. In the mail today, arrived my new pair of thongs, completely free! Words don’t describe how grateful I am.

Expensive & Not that Comfy – I bought the Women's Sandals CUSHION VISTA in black and they're barely softer than solid plastic. I bought these because I had an almost identical pair that I bought for like $15 at Target and they were THE MOST comfortable sandal/shoe I've ever worn. So I wore the crap out of them. I saw that Reefs had almost the same exact pair but obvi a lot… Read more

more expensive. I've always heard Reefs were really really good sandals. I purchased them, they're cute but they're not very comfortable. They're just, ok. I do feel irritation when I walk around outside since it's humid the strap gets caught on my skin and starts to tear at it. So that's not awesome. Idk overall I'll keep them since I've worn them but I def wouldn't recommend them nor will I buy another pair. I can't leave a review on their website for some reason so I resorted to leaving it here.

Cushion tradewind sandals – I often buy and like reef but got these cushion tradewind sandals for my son. Went on vacation to beach the next week and the front strap tore. I contacted customer service two times and they ignored my email. Will no longer purchase Reef. Very sad

Colour fade – I love my reefs they are so comfortable however they do not hold their colour. I have a green pair faded badly in the first month. Given they retail for $60 or $70 this is definitely not good enough. My daughter has a tan pair and they have done the same thing. Not good enough.0
