This organisation (reg.com.au) run by [Name Removed] is very misleading and deceptive. They scrape public ASIC business names register to find businesses approaching renewal, then mail official-looking notices before ASIC sends the real one. Dodgy guy who looks like he has a background in domaining which is basically speculation on domain names.
This company is clearly a scam, there is some strong language in the letter they post to you out of the blue. The document claims that your business *needs* to perform a Company Review, and that the "Statutory Review Fees" *need* to be paid within 2 months to receive your "Company Statement" and "Corporate Key". They also explicitly state that if… Read more
you forget to perform you Company Review on time you will need to pay additional late fees to reinstate. All of this is nonsense. Down the very bottom of the bill they make it clear that none of this needs to be taken as seriously as the wording above, but I'm sure they are confident that no-one reads that part.
This company is a scam and will not refund you! They send an official looking email and make it look like they are legit you pay and then they do not provide the services saying they will register you business in a couple of months. ! you should be ashamed of yourself for misleading busy people

⚠️ Warning: Deceptive Website Imitating ASIC Very deceptive — this site closely resembles the official ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) registration portal, which can easily mislead new business owners. Despite numerous negative reviews online, they appear to operate legally and remain active. Be cautious — always use the official ASIC website (asic.gov.au) directly. It’s cheaper, safer, and legitimate. SCAM – stay away!
Total scam, one of many, as per their own disclaimer on their b.s invoice, "Registration is a third-party business name renewal service provider. We are independent from ASIC. This is not a bill. You do not have to pay any money..." This business should not be allowed to exist as it prays on unsuspecting small business owners and provides exactly nothing in return for paying their 'registration' fee.. not even a backlink!
Written very convincingly but is a scam. No not pay them
Scammers! Send out letters in the post saying to pay company registration, all thwir business is is paying it for you, while charging you 3x the fee. Do NOT pay your company or business registration this way.
totally scam and i paid $599 and reported to bank
Completely fraudulent. They send a letter saying you risk 'losing your company name' and 'domain name, emails and insurance' if you don't renew. This is an outright lie. There is not a 'company name' - when you established your company with ASIC, you registered your company as a legal entity. The legal entity name belongs to the shareholders as… Read more
long as it remains registered with ASIC via filing annual returns. The 'company name' has nothing to do with your domain name, or your emails - these are managed entirely seperately. Their website claims to be an 'ASIC Registered Agent' - this is a lie. Go to https://service.asic.gov.au/search/ and type in their claimed agent number 45838. It doesn't exist in the register. Type in their company name - Registration Pty Ltd. It doesn't exist. THIS IS A SCAM.
Total scam. This company prey on new business or busy people in the hope they make the mistake of paying them, instead of going directly to ASIC. I don't think ASIC show allow it. Maybe someone is getting a kickback to let them continue.
Positive reviews
Business name renewal scams – I have received 3 renewal notices from different companies for different values. Registration is one of them with lowest value of $181 for 3 years. Registry Australia from Melbourne and Online Business Registration is the third one. After looking at these post I went to the ASIC website and found renewal is only $98 for 3 years. I do not understand why these scam companies are allowed to operate.
Overall experience so far is good – We just have done our color selection. Till now [Name Removed] staff are very professional and quick to respond. The process is very smooth and easy. Everything has been done in a timely manner.

Thank you Registration Pty Ltd – The renewal itself was hassle-free, and I received the necessary documentation promptly. I am grateful for their efficiency and professionalism. Thanks to them, I can continue operating my business with confidence. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking business name renewal.
Negative reviews
Total SCAM. Ignore I have professionally administered a number of companies for many years and I have never heard of this organisation. Administration of companies is controlled by ASIC and all the waffle on their purported invoice, which they cleverly say "is not a bill," is just waffle. This organisation should be deregistered and prosecuted for fraud.
Official looking invoice but is a complete b.s invoice, "Registration is a third-party business name renewal service provider. We are independent from ASIC. This is not a bill. You do not have to pay any money..." This business should not be allowed to exist as it prays on unsuspecting small business owners and provides exactly nothing in return for paying their 'registration' fee
Received an unsolicited, official-looking letter, from "Registration" apparently showing an amount owing for a Company Review "due". We never contracted or contracted with this entity. There is no requirement to have a review, and no service is delivered by making the payment to this entity. The correct procedure is to pay the annual ASIC fee. The apparent invoice is incorrect and misleading.

Total invasion of privacy—this feels like a scam. I’m genuinely disturbed that they somehow obtained my address. It looks convincing at first glance, and without careful attention, it would be very easy to be misled.
Do NOT pay Company Review to Reg.com.au. It is a "third-party" who charges you extra for doing nothing. You are being scammed. Pay your Company Registration via ASIC (Australian Securities Investment Commission). Don't use these scammers.
Deceitful business!! I work for an accounting firm and as such we are the registered agent for many companies. As part of that service we offer a registered address for the company to use which means many of these scam letters arrive at our office. Luckily we can just discard them as we know they are a scam. The biggest problem is they have… Read more
payment details on them that is in larger font than the disclaimer saying this is not a bill. Please stay away from this company.
Stay far away from these guys. Anything to do with ASIC - go through your accountant/financial agent. The service they provide is bogus and unnecessary, costing you double what you should be paying. Their customer service is atrocious, excessively aggressive and shows all the red flags of a company that know they are sham and therefore resort to scare tactics
Money collectors - scam. This company operates with the sole purpose of collecting money without offering any genuine service or benefit in return. Their practices are misleading and provide no real value to customers. It’s clear they are only out to profit at your expense. For your own protection and peace of mind, it’s best to steer clear of them entirely.

These people send letters in the mail asking for renewal of ASIC business name payment and charge a fortune. $181 for three years when ASIC will charge $102. You do NOT need to pay reg.com.au at all and they shouldn't even send out these thieving letters, which they make look official.
Actually worse than other scam registration companies lol. They don't even let you contact them to ask what they even do, this is just another "third party ASIC registered agent" AKA, a company that does the same thing you would do with ASIC, but for no reason and for more $, under the guise of helping. Disgraceful, and unethical, to think that… Read more
young new business owners elderly would be tricked into taking this route. And also no idea how they got my contact details.
Scam. They either have a data scraping relationship with 'Couriers Please', or couriers please has a data breach somewhere along their chain, as this is the only possible way they could have gotten the 'business name' for registration. It wasn't my business name, it was the name of a product I sell and ship via them. Absolute scam.
Registration Pty Ltd trading as "Registration" sends a Notice offering to "renew a company name" for $449.00, and warning of a late fee of $501.00. First, there is no such thing as renewing a company name. ASIC sends notices to companies to renew their registration each year, and the company can pay ASIC directly. The ASIC fee for renewing a… Read more
company's registration is (2025) is $321.00.
The deadline that "Registration" imposed for payment is actually two months earlier that the actual ASIC deadline but threatens a late fee of $501.00.
This is just not honest.
A misleading and deceptive scam to be avoided. Pay your renewal direct to ASIC for half the cost – I received their business name renewal invoice in today's mail. They require me to pay to them a business renewal registration fee of $99 for 1 year or $181 for 3 years. ASIC requires $44 for 1 year, or $102 for 3 years, and can be paid directly and online. They too, will provide 30 days notice of your upcoming business registration renewal… Read more
deadline.
This private company appears to provide no other service other than to presumably forward the required payment portion onto ASIC and pocket the balance for themselves.
It is highly misleading and deceptive to consumers, notwithstanding their small disclaimer positioned at the bottom of the letter, and in my view, should be shut down. The fact that they continue to trade would suggest enough people are fooled into believing this is a genuine invoice.
My advice is to only deal with ASIC.
BAD SERVICE – decided to register my business with them , never again , was waiting for my record of registration, didnt answer ph calls , ended up ringing asic to see that payment was sent though only to find out i was $ 2 short !
Utterly betrayed – I've been getting these letters for a long time now. I've requested numerous times for it to be stopped and even threatened legal action. I've done my research and looked up the business. It appears this is very organised and likely part of a much larger organisation. The business is registered to a "[Name Removed]" and currently registered in W.A… Read more

I'm not sure how we are supposed to prevent overseas scammers when we permit them a legal avenue in our country.
Scammers – Registration is a scam, got sent a letter about my business name renewal, offered dollars for 1 & 3 years, take credit card etc but in the fine print right at the bottom it states this is not a bill, you do not have to pay any money.
