I naively filled out a "fast track"application to hire some exercise equipment. It was four days ago and I've not heard back so much as an emailed acknowledgement. I did however immediately start to receive spam mail for dodgy loans companies!

Never any Issues


I have rented 2 beds, short term on 2 occasions for trade fairs in Sydney. Both times I have been happy with the communication, delivery time, and how I was treated as a customer... I will continue to use Rentacentre.

Faulty on arrival!


Fridge delivered on a Sat at 11am. I was told not to turn it on for 30 mins for gas to settle. 3 hours later it's still warm and no one around until Monday to deal with this. Unacceptable.

Disgusting Customer Service


I have recently rented a refrigerator, but soon after a week started giving me some rattling noise. When I asked him to replace it before she will give me a time in the middle of the day and telling me that in case I change I'll have to pay $75.as a customer you going to lose this big time don't go for them, please!

Highly recommend


I used Renta Centre recently to rent a bed for my mother in law who was visiting from overseas. It was an effective and practical solution. The bed was delivered on time and in excellent condition. The office staff and delivery guys were really helpful and efficient. I recommend Renta Centre.

Just what we needed and brilliant customer service!


We applied online to rent a fridge and washing machine using the Renta Centre website. The process was so easy! Both items were delivered and installed yesterday and we couldn't be happier. Everyone we came into contact with from Renta Centre had great customer service. We will definitely be renting through Renta Centre again.

Excellent customer service - rented an item from these guys and had it delivered the next day. Was happy to deal with them and would recommend them to anyone.






Broken fridge refused to repair


Seal on my fridge which I bought second hand broke in 3 months, and they refused to repair or provide any courtesy measures (e.g. partial payment for repair). Very disappointing and would not be using again.

Good until returning items


I rented a washing machine and fridge/freezer for over a year from Rentacentre. Never had any problems. Delivery was easy. However I had to contact them several times to get my bond back when I returned the items, they apologised and asked for my bank details several times but never transferred the money back. Eventually after getting angry at them they returned the bond.



Stay Away from Rentacentre


Disorganised and dishonest. I organised to hire an exercise bike. After arriving with one that was filthy and didn't work, it was replaced a week later with one that the delivery guys didn't know how to use. There was no manual so they had to return some days later with it so we could begin using the bike. At the time of signing the contract, I was expressively told that I would be contacted by the company at the end of the rental period to arrange pickup or continuation of the contract. The end of our rental period came, I was not contacted but rather charged for another month. Not impressed. Stay away from these guys.

Awful customer service


After confirming a delivery time for a rental washing machine, the machine turned up (late) and was then taken away because my partner (who lodged the application) was at work. we were not told that he needed to be present for the drop off at any point, and when he called the company to question this, he was promised a call back which never came. when he called them the following day to see if it was possible to change the rental into my name so that i could meet the delivery, the lady on the phone (V...) was extremely rude and inconsiderate. we ended up cancelling the order and renting through a different company with much nicer service.

Extremely poor customer service


Over the phone customer service was consistently rude and unhelpful, bad even by already low Sydney standards. I implore you, for the sake of all consumers, to take your business elsewhere, unless your idea of a pleasant rental experience is to be deafened by a screeching klaxon of unmitigated idiocy.

How long after signing up did they arrange delivery or contact you? Its been 24 hours here and I've heard nothing.
EDIT:OK It's been a week now so I've assumed this is a scam and gone elsewhere.
