I just seen they have reported a fictitious entry of $150 on my credit file!! I have no money outstanding to them, I only ever subscribed because my real estate agency had recommended I do so to direct debit my rent each fortnight. I purchased the property I was renting back in January and then $150 from rentpay.com.au has been placed on my credit… Read more
file?! I emailed them demanding a response within 72 hours, or I will be reporting them to AFCA. I have never signed any credit application with them, in fact I have no credit whatsoever except my mortgage. I only used them to deposit my rent into my agents account each fortnight. Absolutely mind blown.
Misguided at best – We're here NOT telling you what to do but reporting our experience using rent.com.au to advertise and manage rent application forms from prospective renters. We bought the "Premium Pack" which promised to handle "Online tenancy applications" and also to "Get 3x rentCheck when listing". The issue arises after the applications were submitted (by… Read more
the prospective tenants); the applicants provided rent.com.au with all the ID documents such as proof of identity, proof of income and rental history, but this information is not viewable by the landlords and thus, there is no way that the applications can be processed without asking the applicants to emails this to you and this gives the applicants suspicions that they are being scammed. Also, because rent.com.au doesn't release applicants details to perform rentCheck, the "Get 3x rentCheck when listing" is useless. As landlords, we DONOT want to keep applicants personal information on our computers but we expect rent.com.au to hold and allow access and it FAILED to do so. We will NOT use rent.com.au ever again. it was a mistake that wasted 2 weeks of our time.

Scammers – I don't feel write about this site. I believe they are scammers out to get your personal information and sell it. I don't think their intentions are genuine.
Don't be fooled into giving your personal banking information … – I started an application for a bond loan and they asked me for my bank name, customer registration number and my password for my online banking. WHAT A JOKE... Why would anyone in their right mind provide secure information about their personal banking passwords. How they get away with asking for that information is beyond me especially in this… Read more
day and age of online fraud. If I gave them that information willingly and my account was compromised my bank would not back me up because I gave the information over. Please people, do not share this secure personal information with anyone.

tracking Rent.com.au legitimately and found fake data collection, showing the number of views to the page, no inquiries, no legitimate applications, very deceptive misleading scamming conduct. The staff are untrained, inapt, lie to landlords taking business and then, blocking ads, faking the real purpose of placing an advertisement. many emails were sent to [Name Removed], a team leader, giving feedback and they are incapable to think outside the box..... The clueless inapt staff, in Perth are cons, don't have the capability to deal with real problems and questions. There are nil service, just grabbing money.... Rent.com.au lies about information on property, distance to activities, the false information and data is a breach as the property is under cut by misleading the public, devalues homes, as they lie about important facts. How can Rent.com.au sit in WA, Perth and know how far a school, shops are close to each shops....At least take the feedback and rectify the issues... No, because they were caught out by a smart customer, and didn't know how to deal with it. Most people will not understand this system.... And how this "Walkability Score will impact, effectively support buyers, sellers, and Renters....
Here is an example: Rent.com.au says about a walk score..... "Walk Score helps Renters find walkable places to live. If you visit Rent.com.au today and take a look at any currently listed rental property, you can drill down and see its walkability ranking and estimated commute times. Walk Scores calculates the walkability of any given address by locating nearby amenities such as shopping centres, restaurants, schools and parks". Rent.com.au goes on to say: "Basically, walk score measures how easy it is to live a ‘car-free’ lifestyle".. .What a con.... These clowns do not even know what the crap they are talking about..... My property is walkability is 75%, to cafes, takeaways, buses, schools, parks, and it is clearly disclosed, as the owner knows best, not some cons, sitting in Perth..... After sending these clowns all the facts, Each call to this usless third class portal...Filled with lies, they would not listen.
I was offered a full refund due to speaking the truth, standing up to these clowns, as this small business has no policy to manager a complaint. However, they con about how great their customer service is..... I will score them 2/10. This platform is good for renters who are needing a rent resume, or a cash loan to pay a bond..... Investors, landlords be careful Rent.com.au does not slander and defame the property....By writing false misleading information.... Asked to talk to the owner, [Name REmoved]...The staff were just deceptive cons.
Report this website to OAIC and have them head accountable.
Very deceptive misleading portal...
Rent.com.au was guilty of these lies and con, later email notice letting the owner know a full refund was offered and the property was taken down.....
