replacement set cracked straight away - the others lasted a little longer, however I’m now down to one mug. So disappointing as I love them so much but wary to buy more.

Cracks – We received 4 white mugs with black sprinkled dots as a house warming gift, and loved them! After a couple of weeks a big crack appeared in one (spilling hot tea everywhere). loved the mugs and were off to buy more before this happened. Looking at prices online, they are not cheap mugs and we would have expected better quality then what we have received.

Hug Me Mugs – I purchased the light blue hug me mugs and while I love using them, I don’t like having to scour them after every use because the tannin in the tea stains the inside of the mugs. So annoying and I’m almost tempted to not use them at all. Is this happening to anyone else?

Perfect product even in commercial application – We purchased these cups from Target for a restaurant we have as we use the Rober Gordon Plates and were extremely happy with the product and service. Best Mugs Ever – I purchased these mugs 12 months ago and one of them cracked. When I contacted Robert Gordon they immediately sent a replacement set. I have friends who have had no problems so I assume it may have been a faulty batch. I noticed they were a little thicker. They sit perfectly in your hand. Outstanding customer service. Would definitely repurchase.

to me that is was a bad batch and he could not have been any more apologetic, disappointed and genuinely sorry for what had happened. There customer service was amazing, there staff so very friendly and I was given a full refund without problems.

Great choice – I am quite surprised seeing so many negative reviews about this product. I bought a set of 4 , white with gold dots, last year from Myer, and have been using them for just one recent month. Pouring boiling water in to make tea or coffee almost every day, and no issues have emerged at all. Different stocks, maybe ?

for a mugs such as this design and that the colours were lovely. Naturally they bought the mugs. Image how I felt when I actually used my mugs shortly after talking them into buying the set and 3 of my six cracked around the bottom and leaked boiling water everywhere. Feeling so very disappointed and so sorry for the other people who took me for my word.

I returned it to Domayne, who replace with no issues. I have to say now, I'm nervous about using the mugs and don't use them as often as I should just in case it happens in my hand, or around my kids.

Dangerous and so disappointing – I've just poured a cup of tea and my mug cracked - boiling water everywhere! I'll be taking these back to Myer tomorrow. They are clearly faulty in their design. I have had them for only about two weeks and only used them twice before today. Hand washed and treated very gently. Extremely disappointed in the terrible quality.

Faulty and dangerous – I purchased these mugs back in May, a 4 pack of the black with gold spots. I was in love with them! I have religiously hand washed them and cared for them and now two of them have cracked. They are not cheap mugs and this is definitely not something that I would have expected from what I thought was a quality product. Don't buy them. They're dangerous and leak their contents everywhere.

Faulty and dangerous mugs – I bought 4 pack of hug me mugs for a friend and they have all cracked and are leaking through the walls of the cup whilst using them. I have taken them back to Myer and exchanged them for a new set - hope the same thing doesn't happen to these! The original single ones I bought over a year ago outlasted the new ones and so I think there is a problem with production of the recently produced mugs.

Hug me mug Robert Gordon – Just purchased 4 of the beautiful white Hug Me Mug and it crack first use. They were washed by hand and then used to make a cup of tea - result was water everywhere and a leaking, cracked cup. Very disappointed as they were $10 each from House.

Got the new 'run chai 4 piece' set and the glaze is terrible with drips and streaks while the insula – These look terrible, i.e. the glaze on them is visually very uneven with drips and drops cooked into the surface as well as visible longitudinal fissures along the length of the mugs. The mug walls are incredibly thin and insufficient to insulate hands from even a moderately hot coffee. The same lack of insulation also means your drink cools… Read more

super fast. The narrow mouth makes them difficult to use with a coffee machine and/or milk frother and very to difficult to clean properly in the dishwasher. Would not recommend, over-priced, poor quality items made in China to very poor quality standards. You'd get better value buying something similar for 50c off alibaba..

Cracking issue – I'm experiencing the same issue as the below reviewers. I originally purchased 16 mugs. Of these 6 cracked and were replaced. 2 of the replacement mugs have also cracked. Massive shame as I LOVE the design and colours! The customer service from Myer and Robert Gordon has been great but I'm really hoping that the underlying issue (whether it's a manufacturing fault or damage during transport) is rectified.

These hug mugs are definitely faulty – We loved the feel & shape of these mugs but they are dangerous. I poured boiling water into one and it cracked completely around the entire mug and the hot contents poured out. Luckily it was on the bench at the time and I was not holding it. Only been used a couple of times. I have never seen anything like what happened to this mug.

Do not buy these mugs! – These mugs have a gorgeous design and feel however they are of terrible quality. 2 of my mugs have broken from hot water being poured into them. Tonight the lower half of the mug literally fell off dropping boiling water all over me. Terrible product. Would not recommend to anyone.

Cracked after a single use – I'm finding the same issue as the previous reviewer. I am disappointed because I LOVE the look and feel of these mugs :(. I will also be returning my mugs and have contact Robert Gordon Australia to report the fault.

Warning these mugs can cause injury – I recently purchased two sets of four Hug me Mugs by Robert Gordon from the Kitchen Warehouse. severe scalding. I took the failed mugs back to the Kitchen Warehouse and they replaced them without question. After another week another one did the same thing so I took that one back and was again given another replacement, when I got home I made another drink using the new mug and it cracked immediately. I will not be pursuing anymore of these due to the associated risk and the 50km round trip to engage with the retail outlet.
