Romak QiQ Fix Garden Shed

great shed for its price – was looking for a 3x3 shed and ended purchasing this from Bunnings. Came with all the bits and bolts so had to assemble this at home but I do recommend to have a 2nd helper to hold the walls and especially the roof part. With a 15yr warrenty I couldn't fault it but I wasn't too concerned with colour so got the zinc one. All bolt holes line up to screw together which is good.
The bonus is the double door which does help in getting equipment in and out of the shed. As for strength there was the big storm and hail that took out Brisbane CBD my shed did get a beating and getting dings all over it but no holes at all.
I would however would have liked to have measurements from QIQ on formation of concrete slab for a step down lip to you don't have the issue of water running into the base of the shed and slab. Still a great shed for its price
Avoid like a plague – I bought the QiQ FIX garden shed from Bunnings based on the fact that it was the perfect size I was after and that the manufacturer / distributor boasts a 15 year warranty. With a warranty that extended for so long, it just had to be good, I thought. I unpacked the two boxes (flat packs) and the first irritation was that one is expected to do a stock take. Romak were very specific in their leaflets - as they even placed one in each box stating that before one starts to assemble, to check to see if there are any missing parts. On this leaflet, they also include a "hotline" number to call them should there be any missing parts. I was annoyed as there are so many parts to this pre-assembled shed it resembled a Meccano set. There are hundreds of screws, pop rivets, washers and flimsy brackets. This task alone took about an hour and a half. The sheets / panels were then removed and most had incurred scratches that could have been during manufacture, packaging or transport. One of the panels was dented. Overall the shed assembly components were so flimsy and so badly constructed, I doubt if it would have lasted 15 weeks and yet they have the audacity to claim a 15-year warrantee. Never - just one bad storm will see the demise of this shed. This shed is not good value for money and the 15 year warranty is nothing but a marketing ploy. Due to the inferior materials it is constructed from, coupled with the hundreds of assembly parts, it is difficult to assemble and could easily be damaged unless utmost care is taken. Another negative is that one needs about 16 tools to do the job. Overall, a very sub-standard product. Halfway through assembling, I aborted the project and returned it to Bunnings and I did not hold back when it came to expressing my extreme dissatisfaction. Avoid like a plague.
